About to put a second hand manual box in and new clutch got a few questions. Can you take box out with gearstick in place . Is there diffrent sendors on a uk box looks like a wire and plugs for external oil cooler [its a uk box going in]pipes are linked already. Can anyone recomend anything to clean the box with tried gunk bellhousing is hard to clean was going to try wonder wheels. Do standard pivot balls fail much on these cars i know theve been known to snap of on 200sxs.Is it worth getting one. thanks taff.:rockon:

If you are luckily enough to have electric passenger seat, but have a fault with the switch, trying to find a replacement is getting harder and harder. There is a solution, get hold of a working drivers switch, and it can be modified. You will need to remove the seat, and disconnect wiring underneath, remove the switch with a screwdriver (2 screws on outer casing, and 2 holding the metal plate inside the casing) You do not need to start messing about with the switch and controls, as opening it up, will release all the small ball bearings, which will no doubt run for cover under the carpet. Guy's :hang: Before I take the plunge and sell my Z what do you think it is worth? Genuine UK 60k miles auto red 1 previous owner totally original, Full Service History every year by nissan Timing belts done when they should be. Looks almost as good as it was when it left the showroom. Taxed & Tested. My only comment would be that it could do with 2 new rear exhausts.

What oil pressure should be than engine is working on regular revs 900rmp ? My car is showing 32 psi than I revs its go to 90-100 psi. I think is something wrong with that.

Rear crank oil seal The genuine only parts debate is one that we see proven daily as correct, not least with gaskets and seals. One area we deal with often is rear crank seal, as the gearbox requires removal for this it is often outside many owners abilities by virtue of lack of facilities etc. Lately we have seen a trend with new or nearly new seals leaking and in almost all cases these are non genuine parts. Rear end instability and general poor traction was a passing comment when this particular zed was dropped for an MOT, tyre condition was discussed and the owner was happy with the tyres and that the tread level was good and thought maybe some wear in the suspension was to blame. Later when on the ramp the cause of the poor traction was clear, the tread on the rear tyres was almost completely gone, except for the outside edge, the bit visible when glancing from above, giving the impression all was ok. Just asked my local garage price for an autobox oil change It will be approximately £65.00 plus vat however, some of the 300zx auto transmissions did not have a drain plug and requires a special tool of which we do not have. hey guys, whilst trying to fix my seats, ive had the fuse box out to check the breaker (which is intact) but there are 2 blue plugs, one on the front and one on the back. now i think i got them the wrong way round when i plugged them in, as the boost guage went to full when the ignition was on. could i have damaged anything? i swapped the plugs and the car runs fine (possibly a little better than before, but maybe having no power connected overnight reset the ecu or something. any ideas what if anything could be screwed?

Looking to replace the damaged and leaky pipe in the middle of the picture, it appears to be the main supply line from the block to the heater matrix, it has a large hole in it just after the it t's off. If anyone has the part number handy it would would help. Kindest James

Is there any other way to reset the safety boost fault code from the ECU apart from Conzult? I've bypassed the Det sensor just need the code clearing, but the battery off for a while method isn't working :/

Link... I know they're for a 350z, but they don't list the 300zx, and I know people put 350z wheels on the 300zx, so would have thought they should work? Or if anyone could point me in the direction of something more suitable it would be much appreciated! Thanks, Phill

i bought the inverters for these ages ago and found them tonight. the sills have never lit up snce i got the car so didnt even know if this would work had even considered just bining them and getting new ones as they are fairly scuffed but got them connected and hey presto they work so gonna get them looking a bit better and back on the car

Finaly got my belts changed and the dreaded squeek is no more, but unfortunatly after the test drive the clutch decided to give up and piss out all the fluid. and there was quite an audiable pop. not quite sure exactly where the leek is from but its in the general direction of the slave cylinder. so i'm going to get one anyway hoping that is the problem, and if it isn't then the problem will become aparent when the new cylinder is fitted. Just to make sure though (as my local parts provider can't allways be trusted) is it the same cylinder on all models, i.e. uk spec, jap spec, TT or auto etc. Thanks Steve

Does anyone know if there's a writeup available on fitting the a set of S3 J Spec heating and electric folding wing mirrors to a s1 UK?? If not, does anyone care to share their knowledge if they know? Just bought a pair off Slick Pete. Also, the jspecs are black - am I able to swtich the casing over to save on repainting them or is painting the only option? Just want to make sure before I try and lever the case open and end up breaking it!! Cheers Vig
