So i fitted it last night and the drivers side is spot on the the passanger side is about 1 inch in towards the inner wing at the end of the bumper. It lines up fine round buy the front of the wing just more towards the wheel were the problem is. I have messured the wings to see if they r level and they r ok. I can pull the bumper out and fits ok but its putting stress on the bumper. Has anyone got any tips?????

Hi all well got my new z and was wondering what 0-60 times and top speed would be achieved with non turbo auto with janspeed exhausts and performance filter  car has had good service history and runs sweet with no ticks or knocks and autobox shifts nice . great forum and would appreciate feedback :tongue_smilie:.

Changed the oil in the black zed a few days ago and used a k and n filter for the first time anybody else used the k and n hope its a good filter. The last time I changed the oil in the black zed was in June 2010 but have only done about 2k in that time but even so the old oil was black. There is an anti drain filter on the k and n which is why I went for it plus with the big 25mm nut on the top this makes it easy to put on and get off. Some pics of the oil change:biggrin:

Before the my new box goes on I was going to give it a clean. What's the best way to do it? I was thinking about using my compressors paraffin gun loaded with engine cleaner and giving it good spray and brush. I will be blocking up the final drive end where the prop shaft goes and I have other neutral and reverse switches to go on, so I don't have to worry about damaging the old ones. Would this be OK? Cheers Dave

Just went down to the spar shop in the Z, pulled up and these two little kids about 11 or 12 were riding around on their bikes, one of them says "Nice car mate ....... what is it?", then the other one says "It's a Nissan" and looks at me and says, "Skyline?". LMFAO He said it as if the Skyline was the only fast car Nissan ever made! I've had a GTR and yes they're fast, but so is the Z lol.

I know all about the targa drains, thanks to Jeff's recent post, but I have a question regards what I think is a drain tube on my slick top. I cut out a patch of rust from the outer sill just in front of the drivers side rear wheel/directly below the filler flap. I cut it out over sized so I can cut the bad parts off the inner sill, and do the welding, and what looks like a rusted drain tube fell out. I don't have pictures (can post tomorrow if required) but what I am trying to figure out is; 1/ Is it a drain tube? 2/ Does it serve a purpose on a slick top (to clear water from under the boot hatch or something) or is it a redundant part? 3/ …

The reversing switch on my Manual TT is failing more than it works, my mechanic did order a new one and tried in vein to get behind the gearbox and get it off, but couldn't. He is a good mechanic but doesn't know the 300 that well, so, do I need to take the gearbox off? Remove the cowling over the transmission tunnel? Help please? lol:oops:

So here's my dilemma, I have 2 1999, Version S 300ZX's. To look at they are pretty much identical, same color, the red front seats, both auto, but one is Twin Turbo the other Non Turbo. Non turbo has genuine 18,000miles, TT has genuine 37,000 miles and obviously both cars are in stunning condition. The Twin Turbo has the factory fitted xenons too which are beautiful and both have the factory fitted white dials, although I noticed the TT has the boost gauge again! I thought they were done away with from 95 on, but obviously must have came back for the last year TT's. Anyway I cant keep both and simply have no room, so which would you keep? The very low mileage car an…

Well after having the car for 6-7 weeks I've finally started work, doesn't help the new place doesn't have a garage! Managed to fit in some part collections with work meetings :thumbup1: so picked up a front bumper from Oxford, rear bumper from Leicester, next week side skirts from Preston and seats from Windsor! Also have spacers and longer wheel studs for rear wheels and 25mm drop lowering springs ready. But the boring stuff first, the turbo water feed at the back of the engine is leaking so started taking the plenum off to get at it. Two hours later and it's still on  forgot how much of a pain in the arse it was, still a bypass and egr delete while it…
