Well not that a lot of you knew that i'd gone, but i'm now a Zed owner Again. It feels much nicer that the MR2 i drove around in my hiatus. So what sort of beast have i got now i hear you ask, after selling my TT 400 Bhp (sort of) with 2" lowered suspension and 14psi boost jets...Well its a N/A std car with some replacement exhaust. So i know have to start going through the motions of adding steering wheel, glow dials, LED display, Car PC, and the list goes on. Just wish i hadn't sold all the parts of the ZED i had stocked up, could really do with them...never mind. Only problem at the moment as i see it, is the speed sensor switch is not working properly, so the car…

Is this another E-bay special..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/18-NISSAN-300ZX-FAIRLADY-IMPORT-ALLOY-WHEELS-5x114-/130428809328?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item1e5e29b070 Apparently they are for "import only as they don't clear the UK spec brakes!" I thought UK/import cars had the same brakes - maybe he means n/a cars only, as the earlier TTs had different brakes.....?? Richard:confused1::detective:

Fitting a pair of tubular headers to a non turbo zed sounds like a much lesser job than a the same job on a twin turbo...yes it is easier but still Nissan do like their small spaces that's for sure. The headers below were recovered from a breaker of ours a few week ago and here they are ready to fit. Of course before fitting among many things including the exhaust, starter motor and old standard headers needed removing, here after a few choice words the old manifolds are removed. So onwards and the new manifolds are fitted and the view from above is limited.......... ...but from below is more satisfying, just the exhaus…

Hi My 300zxtt has just come back from the garage with all the problems it went in with, does anyone know a competent mobile mechanic or garge that can fix it? I have money, which for some reason puzzles garage mechanics! I have had this problem time and time again with a JZA70 Mk3 supra and a Rev3 Turbo MR2 they always come back from the garage with the same problems that they went in for and usualy my wallet would be £500 the lighter. Im in Preston Lancashire and i've heard of ZedWorld but would like to see if theres anywhere nearer. Thanks in advance Leigh

I have some Black Brembo Calipers from a R33 which i bought from a member a while back. Now im a little lost as to what discs to fit to the front. I have seen around some discs, but they are 280mm, 298mm and 310mm. I am not using relocation brackets as these should fit straight onto the standard caliper brackets on the hub. So the question is what disc is the correct ones (for the front)?

Little bit of an issue here [N.IRELAND] with MOT and Speedo regulation. Basically imports here have to be dual marked as in MPH and KMH, were in the UK you can MOT the car on single display and just put an MPH sticker over the KMH. My problem is, I dont want to mess about with the OEM white dials in my Version S cars, so I was thinking of getting an older cluster to pop in there to get it through MOT and then put the original back in. Being its a 99 car, what year of used dash will work? I'm thinking 95? Or will an earlier AUTO dash work? Also anyone got one that has the dual markings already on it?

Once i know the correct size, im going to have a custom back box's fitted to my TT, it currently has 2 4.5 inch exits on the back boxes which are too loud, i do however use bungs to silence them which reduce the diamater to 1.5 inches. but with these power is extremely restricted. now what is the smallest diamater i can have on the backbox tail pipes, that is unrestrictive? and will not cause power losses. i may even go for twin doubles exits if this is easier. thanks gents/gals. p.s the car is modded. with larger turbos, and higher boost levels.

Curious if these are as good as they look? I quite fancy converting to a Tan leather interior - these are leatherette but so long as it's good quality that shouldn't be a problem. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-SKYLINE-R32-R33-R34-S13-S14-SEAT-COVERS-/270709117028?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f07855064 I see a UK Zed on there, any reviews?

As some of you will know I have thus far concentrated on getting my Slicktop looking good, smoothed, resprayed etc. I have also had a complete overhaul on the handling side of things. MeisterR coilovers, adjustable arms all round, hicas lockout(DW) and polybushed rear. Now it's time to start on the engine!! I have just covered 3000miles so was going to book her in for an oil change and basic health check. I am after some considered and knowledgable advice/suggestions on how best to approach improving performance. I am a complete mechanical numpty so will be getting all the work done by specialists. I still have to arrange the fitting of my manual conversion so I …

Accident damage can be difficult to call sometimes and dismantling to check behind panels is sometimes inevitable but when you look at the front bumper in the firsts picture you could be forgiven for thinking the damage would be mainly bumper related. However from previous experience it seemed prudent to remove the damaged panels to look closer, and as suspected the amount of damage behind the bumper was extensive. So much undoing and removing of parts Jamie ended up with a small pile of bits. Rear damage to the bumper. All is revealed, even the afm and air box has been damaged The impact has rippled…

My Slickie's roof trim pieces need tidying, one has almost lost all of the rubber/plastic coating so I can finish that off by taking it back to the chrome. I think that will look fine, and is free, so is an option I can afford ;) The other side has only a couple of little chips off, is there anything I can use to help remove the coating without damaging the car's paint (I don't want to remove it as I am sure it will break and they cost a fortune new).
