having lots of cooling problems lately had the metal water pipes on back of engine changed when sprung a leak, but now week or so later (maybe 100 miles) steam from under bonnet again, when filling rad and squeezing top hose can hear what sounds like a leak round no.2 clyinder so i was going to try a plenum bypass but more i read and see more confused i get.seen pics showing 3 hoses from back of engine to (i think ) the turbos and somewhere else( yes i am this lost) but have aslo seen and read that you can block the small pipes off and still be ok .as i'm not sure this is the cause of the leak just looking for a easyish way of testing to find out. cheers

I would like to recomend this polish as it is very good for black or dark coloured cars:thumbup1: I polished my black zed two days ago and tried this polish and it performed very well I put it on with a slightly damp cloth and buffed it of and is the best polish I have used to date. Sorry about the pics of the zed it was to dark for good pics but might give some idea of the finnish And the white specs you see is two days of dust:no:

Targa drain issues have been covered here many times, I did a tech on the passenger side one some time back, but as a good example of a drivers side one came up today I took some pics along the way. So targa drain issue in general is due to disconnected pipes and the result is wet carpets on both sides but in addition on the drivers side damage can be caused to the fuse box and / or the connections. So as per the Nissan style getting to the problem is the biggest part of the battle, removing the seat, knee pad, heater ducting and fuse box access panel is just the start. So the targa pipe was tested by dripping water down the targa channel and …

I've discovered that one of my injectors is knackered, the one at the front on the passenger side. I was considering swapping it using the dremmel method. It looks like quite a lot of material would have to be removed from the plenum. I wondered if many others had done it this way as i'm scared of scrapping the plenum. I was just after some reassurance really!

Hey guys, First of all, Ive not been on here in quite a long time due to one reason or another but its great to see the site is still as alive and kicking as ever! :clown: One of the reasons Ive not been on here is because my zed has been dead... The first issue was the turbos and then when i replaced them, the engine just gave up. If i remember correctly something was wrong with the #6 piston having a tantrum and the valves not seating well in #1 cylinder. :helpsmilie: Ive been saving my pennies for a while now while Ive been planning the best course of action. (Heres where I need some advice from you guys). What I plan to do is buy another en…

The belt appears to be squealing on my 300zx NA It does it when you first start the car, through first and into second then clears higher up the rev range. These symptoms I've come across on other cars but the belt also squeals when you go back into second or first, even after a long run. I've noticed the power steering sometimes goes heavy too at low revs manouvering but dont know if this is necessarily at the same time. Is this likely to just need a new belt or has anyone else had similar issues?

Just watched the first episode of the new series. Yep, very good so far :cool2: It's got a different swing to it than the original 70's series with Jack Lord. This time around it's not the Hawaiian police department, but a special task force, headed up by Steve McGarrett. So nice to see that all the old stuff is still there, the tile music is the same, some of the title sequence's are the same, even their office building is the same as the old one. The team is made up of the same characters, and there is even a 1968 black Ford Mercury (only fleetingly for this first episode anyway) Great stuff, I'll be watching the rest now :D

You cannot fail to be impressed by the sheer enthusiasm of zed owners, a case in point this week, the brief was to replace the coil over shocks and springs with some new non coil over shocks and springs all supplied by the owner, ok pretty straight forward , but what a nice surprise to find he had supplied everything by that I mean everything, every nut, washer, bush, suspension top mount, body gaskets, etc. Made for a nice build up, some of the parts were required as his coilovers lacked the standard top mounts but even the new bolts and washers made it a nice job. The US version of the zed has some funky looking differences to our UK and Import models and I have to say there is something so much nicer about their swb space saver wheel, I have shown pictures before of the rather large seat belts too but could not help taking a couple of more pics today with the belt extended fully....classic and this particular nice zed will be at the Bash on Saturday so you can see it in the flesh as it were. I have had a look now on a few car forums and found that if you keep the cats on you keep a good amount of torque but if you remove them you lose torque and gain HP Everyone knows that the more torque the quicker your car will accelerate. Hp is top end So why do we fit decats or have i totally got this wrong. I am tempted in putting mine back on if this is the case and hopfully tone the noise down a little. Please disscuss :lol:
