3. Hey, When my car is cold in the morning, I find putting it in second (sometimes third) notchy and there is a noticeable crunch. I fitted a new master clutch cylinder a few weeks back and wonder if it needs adjusting at the pedal. Just wondered if its normal to have a notchy / crunchy gearbox until in warms up?

Hi all I'm after a bit of advice i think Ive seriously been cheated here and not sure what can be done. Late may 2010 i was after a set of wheels for the zed so i could take the car off the axle stands and carry on with the build. I also had to change units so this would make things alot easier for transportation. I called a well known company for the brand of wheels i wanted and went for a package deal that was Rota GTR'D Wheels with 235/40/18 and 265/35/18Toyo T1r tyres and light weight nuts. The guy in charge of the wheels department gave me 5% discount and also included free delivery which is normally £15. The total came to £1510 which i was happy with. …

Hi all, As above i need to get a front bumper resprayed, but it is flexible polyurathane, so what do i need to use to ensure that the paint won't crack and flake? I have been told to use: Flexible primer, then normal paint, then flexible lacquer.... Firstly is this all i need? and secondly does anyone know where i can get some of the flexible stuff? I have just had a quick look on ebay and googled it but no joy.... Any ideas or suggestions would be gratefully recieved. Cheers in advance Pabs

First off, Hi to you all (this being my first thread!) There seems to be a lot of Knowledge :helpsmilie: and bad jokes  on this forum and long may it continue. I was just curious - does anyone have a Toad key fob with the 4 buttons? Mine has v.faded print on the bottom 2 (open/close)and pressing one of the smaller top ones allows ignition after delay I have found. Yet I suspect there's more to learn...any thoughts?

I'm in two minds whether to spend money repairing my Zed or just sell it and buy one in better condition. As it stands, my car need a repair tto he rear quarter (big big rust patch), rust patch under fuel filler, petrol tank straps, tension rod bushes, front and rear bumpers need replacing, plenum bypass due to water leak. in addition to the repairs i want 99spec front bumper and other bodykit bits, interior refurb, respray in different colour, new wheels. So really i'm looking at spendin about 4-5K fixing my Zed up, or 4-5k to buy a better one. What would you do???

Bit of a strange one, since I have had the car the front bumper looks like a different colour to the rest of the car. Is this normal as the bumper is a different material to the main body of the car or has it more than likely been sprayed before but with a poor colour match. The bumper seems to be more of a matt type of finish compared to the rest of the car.

After suggesting this stuff in this thread I thought I might post a few pics of my handywork. Before I started. Step one was to take all the lights (except headlights) out and give them a good scrub before going at them with the kit. A few comparisons for your delectation. How it looks from a short distance. The finished product. Headlights were done in situ.

Im not normally one for posts like this but after the last few days i cant contain my rant any longer,Ive taken an engine in from a guy who recently parted with 5k to a now defunct Wiltshire based zed specialist. He waited 8 months to get it back and it lasted 700 miles before it developed a rattle. The problem was soon apparent after i got the sump off,no 3 main bearing has seized and welded itself to the crankshaft,so the block and crank is scrap as its ground the cradle and block away.Told the guy i could rebuild the internals into a good s,hand block to save him money.Well stripped most of it tonight and what i found boiled my piss.Re used inlet and plenum gaskets poope…

Evening all, Just got in after taking my zed out for a drive after storing over the winter...and what a buzz..the sound of the engine and turbos reminds me of why i bought her in the first place!!! However, when driving here home and allowing her to cool down..i noticed at idle she was sitting just under 2000revs. (usually it would be just under 1k) I opened the bonnet to see any basic signs as of why this could be...and i noticed one out of the 2 accelerator cables has a bit of slack(just get your finger under it) where as the other is tight. Could this be the reason?... and how would I go about sorting it? Thanks.
