Hey guys! Midlands based 300zxTT owner here, just wondering if any of you guys know any good garages in the area that do 300zx work? I'm looking at getting the clutch/cambelt/alternator belt done, and I know pretty much just about ZedWorld, who have quoted about a grand. Anyone know of any other places? Cheers!

Another quick one (hopefully)... Got some speaker components a while back from someone on the forum but under the understanding that they may/may not work. Now...how can I test them without wiring them up into the car to check this? I'm not very electrical-literate but there must be some way I can wire them to something?? I don't have a component hifi system with separate amp etc so that's out of the question...any other ways? I only have one speaker working in the car at the moment and AFAIK all speakers are originals. Got an aftermarket cd/radio jobby but it's nothing spectacular. Hope to one day upgrade the entire system to an all singing all dancin…

Okay, i have fitted HID lighting to my 93 nissan, i now realise that the headlight beam alignment is way out, has nybody got some sensible advice on how to set the things up correctly, and where the adjusters are located on the headlamp thanks

  10. Started by sumshiftyguy,

So having thrown a small fortune at the car in getting the mechanical side updated/fixed and the body in a better shape I want to make a start on the interior. So far it's all completely stock and original (1990!). The seats have the usual rips and holes on the drivers bolster and the leather looks worn. Having spent so much money already I really want to try and keep costs as low as possible, without sacrificing quality too much so was wondering how difficult is it really to do the seats yourself?? I was thinking of replacing the padding, re-covering in leather and possibly adding heated seats. Also the possiblity of adding electric adjustment to the passe…

Hi folks, haven't posted on here for some time due to selling my Zed in mid 2009 but like visiting frequently as the banter is always fresh. Anyway was browsing the internet to see what 300zx's were for sale these days when i came across my old car on ebay.....CLOCKED. I sold it in the summer 2009 on a private sale with 97000 miles and couldn't believe it when i saw it for sale with 78000 miles! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/94-L-NISSAN-300-ZX-3-0-V6-SERIES-3-MANUAL-Coupe-BLACK-/180599524003?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a0c920aa3 Just thought i would post it on this forum as i was a member here with that car and just incase any member was to but it or think of b…

  13. Started by Coolq,

currently have a twin turbo Z that i love dearly, but im seeking some advice on how to get a quiet exhaust or which one is the best. currently have japspeed decat downpipe that run into a silencer box, then into a backbox each side with 5 inch exits. ( yes i know they're huge) i do have silencer bungs, which take 80% of the noise away, but with them in i cannot run high boost for safety reasons. (backpressure etc) now i'd like a system that can deliver all the power i need but without the noise, do any of you have one like this? Hoping to change the backboxes only rather than the full system....

After some serious consideration about selling up and getting something else, I came to the conclusion there was nothing apart from a Supra that I would replace the Zed with so she's in the garage over winter to try and get her running properly. The main problem I've had with her has been cold starting so there's a few things I'll be trying first and worst case scenario its a new/rebuilt engine! Apart from that she runs great and pulls like nothing else I've ever had! So here is a few pics so far - Let's just say my mother wasn't amused with the location of the bonnet in my room haha! Sorry about the quality they are off my phone :tt2: M…

  21. Started by oobumblebeeoo,

Hi peeps, Recently bought some UK clocks for my jap TT and it seems to clock up miles ok (rear of the uk plugs were different to the Jap ones to had to transplant the actual clock from the uk to jap housing, then the plugs would fit from the loom)... anyway, when I turn the key to accessory, the milage needle jumps a bit... really quick up to about 40mph, then goes back to zero. All seems ok, but can anyone tell me why it does this? I don't recall my jap one doing this. :helpsmilie: Thanks, Ant

  25. Started by JaiKai,

This is a new problem that arisen in the last few weeks! When putting the pedal to the metal and going say more than 60mph my zed seems to cut out then go full throttle again then cut out. If I drive normally upto and over 80 then it's fine, I just can't floor it! Could this be a boost leak? I can hear the turbos spinning up fine. Also what effect would having a smaller bore exhaust do as I got a local garage to swap over the exhaust from my old NA as it looked a more meaner exhaust but the back pipes are connecting look thinner Could the exhaust now not be big enough bore and the engines choking itself ! Cheers folks
