Went off to local scappies to get a new ciggie lighter for my girlfriends micra. After robbing a like new one, having a nose around. At the back of the yard there was a ford maverick, look inside and hey presto both interior chrome door handles in perfect condition. even better some kind sole had removed the door panels. so 2 mins later and they are mine. go upto the pay kiosk, expecting to pay £20+, and the girl says call it a fiver. £5 for a complete pair of chrome handles in perfect conditon. Bargain. Now got to chat with them about a complete set of 350z brembos, front and back with pads and new disks of an 09 350z. are these a direct fit??

Anyone who has driven their zed and had some fun will have most likely not only been rewarded with a thrilling ride but also with that unmistakable odour of burning hot oil, either whilst driving or just after parking up. No really mystery that in most cases it leaking outer cam covers dropping oil from the rear corners onto the turbo`s or manifolds on non turbo`s. So stripping out the relevant parts to get to the pesky covers and re-seal them is fairly straight forward but its is essential to be clean and safe, keep all parts in order and cover all intake holes whilst the plenum is off so nothing can drop in there. The two inner covers have quite chunky ru…

So the countdown to the zedworld "new year" bash is here remember Saturday 5th February open from 10.00 to remind all there will be food and refreshments the whole day, plenty of close parking and plenty of zed chat and a chance to meet other zed owners and look at some serious zed metal! oh and remember to have your pound coins ready for the raffle that all the proceeds go to Great Ormond Street Children's hospital It would be really helpful to get the attendance list started here so we we know how many to cater for etc. add any others coming with you too, so have a safe journey and see you then. Jeff, Jamie and Lynda So here is some general access route…

I've had a look around my usual sources of guides but no joy! Is there a guide on removing/replacing the starter motor on a TT Manual Zed? I've been getting a bit of a grinding noise now and agan and I need to rule out the actual motor and hope it's not flywheel related :/ Any help would be appreciated as always :)

Hi All, Today I got my car back on the road after about 6 six weeks - I replaced the diff unit myself. I am not a mechanic at all but can read and listen to help and advice so I was really pleased when I got swapped the diff, changed the oil and got the car sorted again. After about 12 hours of swearing, getting shit in my eyes and bleeding knuckles it was such a laugh to drive it again!! I enjoy these cars and think this is what it's all about. so thanks all for your help again!!

over Christmas my dials started acting up, rev counter stopped working then the speedo stoped working then all the lights came on then few days later it all gave up and the car wouldn't start. rang an auto electrician who came and told me there was a "+" missing from the dials to the fuse box which caused all the faults so he bypassed the dials and went from the batt to the fuse box, car started but the dials were still poorly. as of right now nothing works except... -a very dim battery light is always on -the blue high beam dash light works -fuel gauge works -dimable dash/dial illumination lights so! what do i need to buy? new dials? is this a…

Hi Guys, I`ve just realised i need to spend another £43 on a lead to convert my head unit to rca out, so my question is... is it possible to connect to an aftermarket amp direct from speaker outputs from the head unit or can i only go from rca out?? I`m not skimping but this lead is from the US so I will have to wait and pay import duty also, so if i only loose a little quality im not too bothered or is it a big no,no? CheerZ Daz.

im currently in the process of upgrading jap mirrors to take uk heated glass . ive put in all the additional cable through the jap motors and fitted the new heated units . my initial intention was to route the new cabling to the rear of the rear window defrost switch and splice in so that they operate with the rear window . my query is , is there a live feed already in the door lume that is activated by the rear window defrost button . ideally this is the best option for connection . alternately does anyone know the colour of the cable feeding the rear heated window and the route it takes to the back from the front . just trying to save a bit of time digging around unde…

I haven't used my ZX for about 5 weeks now; although I did start it last Saturday so I could move it forward a metre in the garage in order to fit a new rear wiper blade..... ......so I decided to take it out this morning only to find the battery was flat. Not totally dead; but not enough juice to turn it over:no: I couldn't get the Merc close enough to jump start it either - long bonnets and short jump leads;:tongue_smilie: And Julia was at work so no Rav.... .....I'll have to give it a go in the morning and take it for a nice long drive to blow the cobwebs from the engine..... Richard:thumbup1:
