Hi All Having a problem with the brakes on Z32 300zx SWB, there is a awful lot of pedal travel, I have checked the free play adjustment on the pedal and while checking brake pipes and calipers for leaks I have noticed that on this car the brake pipes from the master cylinder on the o/s front there is only one brake pipe going through the o/s wheel arch whereas on inspecting another 300zx Z32, there are two brake pipes going through to the wheel arch and they go to a small block bolted to the inner wheel arch, which is missing on my SWB can anyone tell me what this block is and what it does My car appears to have the facility to fit this block as there are two m…

How long (roughly) should you expect a good condition, charged battery to last with the engine off and the ignition / radio on? I ask because after working on the car yesterday for about 3 hours and another 20 mins yesterday, the battery is flat. Voltage down to 9.4. The only other time I've had similar is when at Beaulieu a few years ago, was sitting in the car, radio on for a couple of hours, car wouldn't start then either. It's only a normal unit, not ICE with amps and stuff. I've not had this problem with any other car than Zs!

Just thinking about a workaround for the common issue people have of the speed signal dissapearing causing interrupted PAS assistance (could be speedo cluster, converter, speed-sensor etc.); how can one go about stopping the speed-sensitive system. Even if it's something programmed within the ECU surely you can simply bypass the ecu and have a constant live on the pas pump? Anyone done this? I have GPS speedo I'm not really fussed on the needle working.

Hopefully the weather will be ok.......and hopefully they’ll let me in with my car. Rules are any model of a car that entered production in 1988 or earlier.....can I argue that the Z32 was available in Japan in 1988 ? I’ll try anyway ! I’ll be in tandem with a DB6 so fingers crossed ! https://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/whats-on/winter-classic-breakfast

I sold my 1996 twin turbo manual for about £2500 a few years ago, and I am looking to buy one again. I have around £25,000 as a budget, and I know JDM cars have gone through the roof in recent years price wise so just wondering if that will go very far? Thanks!

Hi Folks Nissan has been poorly for a long time and then my Dax Rush decided it didn't like the fuel pump and left me stranded on the side of the road. So on the basis of cheering myself up, and stopping being a lazy git with the cars I have pulled my finger out. So the shortie has been away and has now has a spangly new stand alone ECU and is running well. Currently at 370bhp on the dyno at just under 1 bar boost (the engine has forged internals, 555's and bigger turbos) No manual boost controller just pulling good and hard at a sensible level ( that will change!) and of course now up and running. The next step is the paint and I just wonder…

The year was 1999, and a new concept Z is revealed, with plenty of the then popular ( and now ) retro features that somehow got switched out 5 years later in the 350z, got to say I quite like the concept car, less in your face and more cool than an early 350z, interestingly the apparent 2004 350z paint codes are clearly older than you would think. http://testdrivejunkie.com/1999-nissan-z-concept-car/ Jeff

Hi guys, I’m after a little advice, I’ve recently purchased the Unorthodox Racing Pulley Set along with the associated belts etc. as I looking for ways to increase hp whist at the same time it just happens I need to swap the alternator belt anyway. Hence as to why I bought this kit. However, I’m now not sure whether this is a good or bad thing to do, the last thing I want to do is put additional pressure/stress on the crank or even other engine components themselves. Has anyone had one of these kits fitted and are they any concerns I need to be aware of? Generally is this a safe and effective modification? Cheers guys

OK before I ask the question...…..I'm never going to sell my car, its an automatic, I never race it or traffic light drag it, its a cruiser, a GT, I love it for it's style, its rarity, the laid-back driving position and lots of other reasons :-) It's market value to me is meaningless (much like a friends DB6 that he says he will be buried in !!) and truth-be-told few of our cars are truly OEM. I've thought about the possibility of changing to a different auto gearbox but got slapped down :-) So.…I'm wondering about changing the diff ratio to give it longer legs. It's 3.6....something at the moment. The other family car - a BMW 1 Series - is also an automatic wit…
