after taking the car off the road for the winter..the last couple of days of proper driving iv got a sever problem with my brakes...i thought at first it could be the calipers..but could it be the master cylinder causing the pistons failing to retract?..or is it maybe as simple as a siezed caliper.. symptoms are braking from 60+ causing severe judder(i know its not warped discs because on a hill the car doesnt roll back or forward when the brake is released+ theyr only 5k yo) also if i use engine braking rather than braking i dont get the judder when i do use the brake..if that makes scence.. thanks

I'm looking to buy new wheels for my '93 UK TT whilst re-using my current Goodyear F1 Eagles, 245/40ZR18 on the front and 275/35ZR18 on the rear. My current wheels are Devil 147's - 8" front and 9" rear, both ET35. Most of the deep dish wheels that I'm looking at are 8.5" and 9.5".....will my current Goodyear tyres fit these slightly wider wheels? Is there an online resource that gives you said information? Thanks - Andy

  10. For everyone`s information his thread about a clutch unit sale gone wrong is not about ZEDWORLD as assumed by some but most likely about a company of similar name (?), we do not source our clutches from the US we do not charge import tax, we do not take 3 weeks to supply parts and we do not text customers with excuses! I did place some pictures of of clutch units in his previous thread and I think this is where the mistake has been made, we are not in any way part of this deal, if we had of been he would of had free delivery as he lives close to Jamie. does anybody have a set of Image wheels on their zed? I've been hunting high and low for some rims and i think Image have a style that will work well. Any pics, feedback etc? The UK seems to be crap for wheels. I quite fancy a set of Work VS XX or Advan Siena Gen IIs but they aint easy to find.

  12. Thought u guys might be intersted in this ... This was my winter project 2011 :) my bro in law bought it as a donor car for his and i bought the remains of him .. I thought i would get away with it being a cheap build , un be known to me the cost of parts for these bloody things it ended up owing me a fortune so had to let it go 90% finished :( lovely car though :) hope you guys like it .. Got a feeling the guy who bought it will take it to the nxt level :)

To be honest I dont really think I am dealing with mega-cowboys but this is a tale of woe. It was Feb 13TH 2012 and I ring them up hoping to find the illusive part. They say they can help. It was explained it would take 3 weeks to be despatched cos it was being sourced from another country. I said OK ( I felt I was running out of options) They explained how they would take the card details to hold on to so the did not end up with this part if I were to backout. They explained a handling charge of about £10. it was really £17. I place the order to find I have too add on the tax, another £35. They took the money immediately. - That is not what they said the…

Right then, as I need to disconnect some air con pipes to remove the cooling unit under the dash I'm going to remove everything else hopefully including the compressor tomorrow. Is there anything I need to know before cracking on with it? Cheers

Hi guys, I'm replacing the engine loom so I've removed the glovebox and need to remove the above part to get easy access to the loom retaining bracket on the bulkhead. Looking at the service manual I need to undo 2 pipes that run into the back of the cooling unit, I'm assuming I will need to drain the system, where is the drain point on the car? I will be deleting the air con anyway so I'm assuming I won't have to put the pipes or the cooling unit back after the loom.

Pretty sure this is an open secret as a few members know by Facebook and PM. And it doesn't take a genius to work out why I have been selling all my parts off. It hurts typing this, which is silly as it's only a car but my Slicktop was written off a couple of months back. Buying the MR2 has eased the pain :mad2: but only a little. Didn't take loads of pics for obvious reasons, but here are a couple. Doesn't look too bad in the pics but you don't have to be too bright to work out the repair cost with new parts to know why it was declared a write off. This thread is not a discussion about me buying it back, doesn't look too bad, easy repair etc,…

Thinking about what im going to do with my car. Its the best zed ive had so far, so it makes sense to keep it if i cant get what i want for it. Finding a TT in as good condition would be a tall order without it being ££££££. My thought has been, if i can sell the parts off the car i dont want, or need, the funds can go towards getting how i want. The wheels are for sale, the rear lights and im thinking to sell the engine, but dont know what its worth. Today i fitted the TT front bumper. Its the wrong colour, but already looks better!
