well today i was doing a bit of tidying around the engine bay and i found a plug at the back of the engine unplugged with black tape covering up something so on further inspection a found a resister connected to the knock senser and it was not connected to the harness for the ecu so if it was still unplugged the sensor would be doing nothing so would i be right and say the resister should be on the ecu side.... would there be a kit for an after market knock senser to be fitted somewhere handernthan stripping half the engine to replace cheers trev

Hi all, I've relocated my PTU to under the nose panel, it's bolted to where the air con condenser attaches to on the passenger side. Where have you all moved yours too as I'm not convinced on my positioning. Cheers

im looking at doing my interior as a summer project. the main thing im cautious of is the suitability of the adhesive, ive heard of horror stories of people doing it and it peeling off in the next sunny day, infact ive seen it happen. :( ive tried searching and looking but sod all just conflicting opinions on 3m products, so who can tell me what a good product is to use. while im on the subject retrimming in leather is obviously very expensive and laboursome. vynal seems a better choice, how strechy/crease resistant is the stuff. ive used self adeshive vynal on my roof bars etc which with a hairdryer was great stuff.

I managed to flood the car today, I've removed the fuel pump fused and cranked it over at full throttle a few times but it didn't seem to help. However I don't have and can't find a 5/8th spark plug wrench to take out and dry the plugs. If I leave it until tomorrow do you think the plugs will be dry enough to start the car?

Every get those times where you do something and go out your way only for something else to happen ! Well it's one of those days for me ! Started off yesterday after giving my TT a good wash then I noticed that my front reg plate was all washed out looking and half of the numbers were washed out or faded away. First thought was the wife (always blame the wife first, lol) had used the jeti at home and washed the reg plate which is powerfull enough to strip paint but what actually happened is some wise ass peeled of the laminate and took half the letters with it when they did. You can see what I mean in this pic ! I don't really know how…

Hi Guys, I have a vibration on my Z that you can feel through the back of the seats, its noticable when I accelerate hard and also seems to appear at around 50 mph and stops at around 70, its not a real bad shudder but.... Also the centre console gets quite hot, the auto box does all its supposed to but wondering if the heat is related to the vibration?? My thoughts are propshaft centre bearing but would like some opinions please??? Thanks Steve

I have instaled nistune in my car and had it to PBZ in sweden for tuning. NOT satisfied. He couldn't get it to work right. Said that nistune just stopped when he pushed the car on the dyno and that the safc2 was causing problem with nistune. He was more interestted in selling me haltech. I need to have my car tuned on fuel and E85. I have a fuel map from the ash-spec chip I had. Anyone know of a good tuner that CAN use nistune? I live in norway so the shorter the better and price also matters.

I've got autogauge smoked water temp, boost, and oil pressure, and recently, my oil pressure gauge has been playing up, a tiny blip of the throttle and the needle just shoots straight up in an instant, then eventually drops straight back down, but is very twitchy, I had put it down to a faulty sender, but then my water temp gauge started being weird, the needle would suddenly drop too low when fully warmed up, and was twitching up to proper temp and back down again, with exactly the same rhythm and movement as the oil pressure gauge needle, deffo not a coincidence, could it be interference or a ground problem? Cheers, Tudor...
