I'm going to be giving the zed a wash tomorrow with some zymol shampoo. The car was resprayed professionally in November in 2pac and I was wondering if it would be safe to give the car a wax as well? I've heard that you shouldn't wax a car for ages after a respray, pretty sure I read somewhere that mentioned six months. I've got some meguires carnauba (sp.?) wax for it. So would it be Ok to wax as well or should I just leave it for a while longer? cheers steams

Hi, I remember someone asking about refurbing their turbine alloys with the awkward little plastic nuts to make it look like split rims. I cant remember what site it was on and wondered if anyone on here can remember seeing a thread about it and who it was. Want to find out where you got them done?, what you did with the plastic bolts? (have them removed or repainted) and if you have a pic of them now? Thanks

Got the car up on the lift at mechanics today to have a good look around before booking it in for the suspension changes and discovered a one piece prop that I didn't know was there! Underside is very clean, only a couple of wee bits and pieces to pick up before getting it set up for the summer

Right, well I managed to do a couple of little bits this weekend. Nothing major, but I did manage to treat a couple of leather seats and swap them with my old ones, and I finished off the window trims with the plasti-dip. I do like this stuff, but i do see it as a temporary fix and will look to buy new trim as and when i have to. Here are a few before and after pics: Seats: Before - After - Window trim: Before - During - After - Next on the list is the interior swap, I have a series 2 alcantera one sitting in my garage which i just bought, but being out there in the sun today..... I…

First Zed I've seen in bloody ages! I couldn't go by without flashing my lights and giving a thumbs up! Driver grinned and returned the thumbs up  Busy weekend, so the details I spotted are limited to that fact it was a Zed, it was black, and I think it had a vented nose panel. For the record I was in the missus's Rav4. Mark

At some point my car has been converted from auto to manual. I noticed that the engine ecu has automatic written on it. Is there any difference in the engine ecu's, could this be why my engine is playing up?

I think it is anyway...! A friend and I went to the nurburgring last week. We came back on Friday, but before we left we went for another watch and got talking to a lad with a Black astra VXR on UK plates he was a sqaudy and also had a VW camper van on german plates. We were talking about cars as you do and got around to 300zx's, which i said to him "if you remember those" he looked at me funny and said yeah, i towed one away for scrapping the other day. Now I thought thats strange, and asked was it red and wet inside, as to which he replied yeah and the owners name was Rob... Cant be a coincidence surely?!

I've got 18" wheels so maybe ths space saver wouldn't work anyway? I was thinking about LPGing it which would get rid of the spare all together. Are there any alternative solutions if you do get a puncture? I've used the foam aerosols before on a motorbike and they're ok but not brilliant (don't work well in the wet, only a temporary solution). Is there anything better out there?

Well coming from the 'VW scene' I buy into the less is more attitude when it comes to cars, Even more so when it comes to the engine bay. Now obviously the 'jap/300zx scene' is a bit different but is there any 300's out the with a very minimalist engine bay?? Cheers in advance

Its only took me a year but today me and Gordy (zhoodyx) drove up to glasgow to get some bits from sandy's breakers. Plan was to actually head up and pick up another dash but ended up bringing to bumbers. Luckily the weather was great as we drove 30+ miles back with the targas off and two bumbers squeezed into the back of my TT. Anyways heres the bumbers finally fitted to the NA I'm sure gordy will post up a pic of what my TT looked like when we drove back but if you can imagine the size of standard bumpers and we squeezed front and back in the boot (although not fully closed) !

I'm changing all the front bits on the engine. I have striped it all and replaced all 4 cam seals but I can get the crank gear of to replace this seal. Thoughts???? I'm not sure how to even get behind it to pull it off. I would like to change it as EVERYTHING else is being replaced. I have the bits to place the back plate and gear. I did read about cutting it off but that looks like it could go wrong. Should I just leave it??? Thanks.
