Having spent about £1,000 on new Air Con parts (and fitting) last Autumn, so solve my gas leak, I now find myself back where I started.

 

I suspected this in Jan/Feb, but can now do a proper test, on these lovely warm spring days.

 

Has anyone got a good tip of how I can stop the system leaking ?, without replacing a load of expensive parts and getting nowhere ?

 

Is there a magic gas that A/C companies can put in & seal the gaps ?

Theres nothing that will stop a leak on a AC system if a component has failed.

 

To test the system should be pressurised with Nitrogen & check for leaks using soapy water.

 

If no leaks are found then the system can be regassed using a leak dye - this shows up small leaks using a UV lamp if the gas leaks out over extended periods of time
