Well the car is back from the paint shop and the Stillen lip is fitted..... .....along with one or two other bits of paintwork tidying. Here are a couple of phone-pics for now; it was raining when I got home so I'll take a few more with my DSLR once I have waxed the car later on!! Richard:clap:

Making a Home brew Parallel or 300* Fuel rail Chopped up the standard rail and the very restrictive 5mm bore link and made everything to 8mm inc bore i'm going with the parallel route on this as thought it would be a better idea as both banks will give the same amount of Fuel pressure and Flow Less chance of Leaning cylinders out this is all so going to be used with a 320lph Pump from Deatschwerks In-Tank DW301 Fuel Pump using a external fuel pressure reg dose any one know the fuel pressures needed for say idle to top rpm ? do u guys think its a good or bad idea ?

i dont use my zed from one day to the next weekends mostly when i turn the key for the first time it fires but only just fires then a touch of the pedal and shes running on choke ,when i first got my zed it started and ran on choke without touching the pedal at all anyone got any ideas before i hassel jeff (again)

Hi guys, where's the best place to buy a 99spec front bumper, seen them on z centre is that the cheapest place to get one, or has anyone got one forsale. Seems u can get fiberglass copies but had bad experiance with them when younger and want original. Had a prelude vtec spent over a grand on a body kit then painted it. Had it on about 2wks and the neighbour backed his van up, and front bumper shattered lol. He said he would pay and not to go through insurance, I never reported it and he never paid. Reckon if it was original material it would of only bent in and came out, he barely touched it.

i decatted when i did my manual conversion and i now have a small amount of white smoke on idle and a it smokes when reved. seems to smoke less once warm, i drove it the other day stayed off boost for about 5 minutes at motorway speeds and had 0 smoke. the car still boosts well and pulls well. i seems to remember jimmer putting up a diagnostic thing for smoke, ie hold at this rev and if it does this etc etc. i had absolutely no issues before decatting and im pretty sure its the turbo oil seals i just want to be sure before i go putting considerable time and expense sorting out the wrong problem. input welcome guys

Hi, sorry for are creating another thread but i really need help from you guys. My engine as you know dont start. Problem is simple. After i changed to stock injectors and I changed ECU chip and than a problem started. Smokes was coming out my ECU. So i tried to fix it: Had another ECU, i changed two relays on pessenger side, i changed PTU and all engine loom. And still got the same problem. Does anyone live in East London how can come down and help me please. Let me the price and we sort that out. I just definitely need a car by a friday. I believe that is just small thing need to be fixed But what it could be? Thank you guys for understanding.

So having now bought Craigs Bose speaker boxes, i now need some speakers to sit in them. what would be the best type and kind to compliment what i've already got? In the front i already have some 6" mids with a crossover and tweeters And in the back i have the sub box from Mark with my two 10" sub and amp. And i have one 6x4" in the rear compartments (the other one's f*cked, cheep ebay sh*te) All powered by this (soon to be replaced) So i need something to try and replicate the noise that i'm missing from a pair of shelf mounted 6x9's So if anyone else has the bose enclosures, what have you got in them???

I want to make a front splitter, im thinking along the lines of a curved rubber strip. Like on the front of many modern cars. I dontreally want to make it out of fibre glass for obvious reasons. Any suggestions of what to use, I have the 89 spec front

more orange goodness arived this morning. That me replaced just about the full suspension / steering to after market parts. Just waiting for my local garage to fix my hub carriers / knuckles with new bushes.

where would be the best and cheapest place to order a new egr valve from?

Just had some old wheels I got cheap refurbed and now they only thing letting them down is the centre caps. Where on earth can I find replacement ones? The internet is so far letting me down! I've gone for the "ostentatious" look. Not to everyone's taste I know, but I like them. Shot at 2012-07-31

Hi, Ok, getting blue smoke out of ONE SIDE (only so far) of the exhaust (tt). I know its not a good sign and looking at diagnosing the problem. It’s ok on start up but after a minute or so it starts to smoke, just a bit and then stops, if I rev it a bit (obviously not a lot) it’s quite evident there is blue smoke coming out. When driving it only comes out sometimes, just a slow amble and seems ok but only need to put my foot down a little and puffs of smoke some out. If I put my foot down there doesn’t seem to be much or any but then again when driving normally it comes back. I only recently changed the PCV’s (9 months back) so I don’t think its them.…

Has anyone ever tried to remove the rear reflector from the back lights? If so how do you do it?

I need to bite the bullet and replace the majority of my engine bay connectors - they either have the dreaded corroded green pins or broken plastic outter housings / shells. Any advice on where to buy either the connetors or (preferably) the complete loom? thanks ! M

Hi guys, my misses thinks I'm mental and the neighbours are starting to look at me funny lol. I can't leave my car alone, came home from work and decided to take it to pieces, I had a uk car couple years bk Had it resprayed artic white but along the seals started to get couple of rusty parts back, I bought a jap spec shell which from underneath looked like new not a bit of rust, so I reshelled my uk car, painted the shell and put everything on it engine, interior, doors panels etc. A mission and only had around a week to do it that was painting it too. Well as in previous post im new to the forum and new to the 300zx, well sort of, i have had a slicktop a SWB manual and one like the above however they were what I sold on. I am now in receipt of this one which I paid £500 for with 12months MOT and want to keep to transform into a wide body model in white by this time next year. I have only had her for 2 week and had the car checked out at the garage who said they did a thorough inspection and would have passed it for an MOT which I was pleased, a few advisories though. Any help would be grateful especially what to look for mechanically wise as i only know the basics. John

This is what my brothers zed ended up looking like towards the beginning of the year. Every panel bar the drivers door was damaged, these are just the photo's of the worst bits. I'm not going to say how it happened for now, will see if any of you can guess.

.....in the last couple of months or so I've done quite a bit of milage in my Zed and I havent seen a SINGLE other 300ZX ANYWHERE !!! I'm assuming that they have really become sunny Sunday toys.......but even then I never see one being driven. There are three others near me that seem to be glued to their driveways ! Sad :-(
