  1. Hi mate, got my new rear wheel situation sorted so no more shredding rubber and stance sorted so I'm back on the road. Got a loan of a multimeter and set the TPS to 4.6v (was 3. something before I started), disconnected with ignition on (engine off) and plugged back in about 10 seconds later but still got a misfire/erratic idle and stuttering/hesitation when foots down. Are you available this weekend or next if I take a run through to try to narrow down the cause using your Conzult/datascan? You can drop me a line at ??? or txt on ??? (please remove email and phone number once you pick this message up mate) Stance before Stance after

Car starts fine, idles fine. when driving cuts out, strong smell of raw petrol, it wont start for a while after, once left it will start and off you go, if the car still isnt up to temp, it will continue cutting out under normal driving conditions until its up to temp, at which point you can drive it around as if nothing is wrong As long as you are driving normally. From hot Car starts fine, idles fine, when driving will cut out on hard accelleration only, strong smell of petrol, takes a bit to start, but once started can drive it normally and it will be fine. When I got my Zed the dashboard was peeled back more than a banana so I found a second hand one in perfect condition and did the horrific task of swapping them. Just back from 2 weeks away only to find my new one has started to peel in the summer heat! Not really up for swapping it out yet again so has anyone got any tips about how to solve/fix the problem with the dashboard in place? Sensible/proven ideas please.

So i can smell fuel at high revs / boost and when i get out of the car from turning it off, am i to guess this is most probably just a pipe that needs checking / tightening in the bay like so many others have experienced, I dont smell anything at idle or cold.

Hey guys, for those who didn't see my newbie thread I'm looking at getting a Zed :) I've read just about every piece of buying information I can find so I've got an idea on what to look for when viewing one. What I was wondering is if any of you more experienced lads had any little nuggets of gold which i could get my teeth in to?! The model im looking for is a manual TT with a budget around 3k :) Also, I'm based in South bucks (Beaconsfield), is there anybody around me who'd be up for looking at a few with me if/when i find one nearby? Thanks!

I purchased ConZult a few weeks ago, and finally managed to get it working on my father's laptop. The car doesn't seem to boost properly, but I do know that the det sensor doesn't work properly. My father has clipped a resistor in the det sensor connector to bypass it. However the car still doesn't boost properly, does the fault code still stay in the ECU when the sensor is being bypassed? Can the ConZult software clear the error code so I can see if it is the det sensor that is causing the boost problem?

I was asked by a friend to come and have a look at his mates red uk tt auto zed as he's thinking of parting with it. I was told that the car had been sitting for quite a long time, but it was once a cover car. When i got there, the car looked quite nice from a distance, nice kit, very nice wheels etc. When i got close up though, i could tell that it was in a very bad state of disrepair. There was mold and moss in various places, the laquer was peeling and had blatently not had a single once of love for god knows how long! I had a little feel under the blended skirts only to find the sills literally turning to dust! such a shame, as the bloke told me when he boug…

  18. Firstly I want to thank the guys at Custom Exotics for all their help so far and allowing me to work on my car in their workshop. I know I've been in the way and they probably can't wait to see the back of my Z, but my car has been their since April after finding more and more problems. They've given me help, opinions, let me borrow the odd tool and not once have they turned their back on me. Without these guys I have no doubt my Z would have been scrapped after so many places doing shoddy work on my Z. At the moment, my interior is all out and being trimmed so I thought I better make sure the bodywork is ok as sadly I found I couldn't rely on anyone else. I started…

  20. I've had my 91 import (2005) TT for about 2 months now and we have had ups and downs. After buying it as soon as I put my foot down on the test drive, I got home and found numerous faults. The previous owner said all the right things (mostly lies) and left me with a bodged and leaking injector, completely pissed suspension, leaking BOVs off a Supra, perished PS pipes, a *****cks 2 week old MOT with rear discs like poppadoms and leaking windows. Not happy with my £3000 sieve I gave it to Zedworld and got all sorts done, of note, BOVs removed, suspension aligned, and an ECU upgrade with 13.5psi boost. The problem now is that I got home (200+ miles from Zedworld) and t…

Hiya, Well - my problem is rather strange one. Few weeks ago i finally finished my importing saga (imported 300zx from Guernsey). Submitted all paperwork to DVLA, paid all the fees, etc. 15 days ago received all paperwork (V5 / tax disc / new number plate papers, etc). However - i cannot insure it as its not in database! None of the insurance companies can see it online. Even if i try to do HPI check - no such number exists! Already wrote few mails to DVLA - they responded - we did all as we should, speak to your insurers...

i need some advice from the engine builders among us. i want to build a 500bhp engine, that's strong enough to maintain a fair degree of reliability. the current plans between me and the guys at work have managed to make a list of parts coming to nearly £10,000, so i think im over doing it, im wondering what you guys would do to build an engine to this spec? i've got the hardware to make the power but need an engine that wont go bang the first time its used on a track. 555cc injectors and a dual intake, as well as a bigger turbos etc, i also need to know how you make sense of the bearings? i want to get some uprated ones like i had i…
