Hi, I am doing a N/A to TT conversion and have the oil cooler fitted but don't have any of the oil lines.... The engine I got had been hacked from a breaker, so lines were cut at about 10cm long by oil tree.... I have been told there is a flow restrictor in the return line.... ? I take it I need oem oil lines and all these parts? Sorry posted in wrong section.... Can someone please move this to gen tech advice section.... Sorry!!

After selling my black lwb TT to a friend who kept it for about six months then sold it on to a trader who sold it on to someone else who had an accident in it I thought that would be the end of K353XFX:no: But yesterday I had my 300 at a small local car show and a young man came over to me and asked about spare parts for 300zx's so I told him to log on here for all his needs and asked him about his 300. To my amazement he had bought my old 300 and was fixing back to its former glory:clap: So hope he logs on today to get some parts and then I can get him to post up some pics of my old Fairlady. How it used to look.

I've wondered about this for a while, thought I'd ask. Is it normal for the journals, although in order i.e. I1, I2, E3, E4 etc. to have some read 'upside down', as in rotated 180 degrees? And what do the dots mean, they appear to be random. Cheers, just summet that's niggled me for a bit :)

Hi All Having recently been unfortunate to have a broken bolt on tensioner pulley. Have stripped down and replaced bolt, how do I confirm that the crank is on TDC . Have read lots of guides http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?135139-Align-timing-belt&highlight=cambelt Cambelt is back on but as i know the engine was turned over with the belt loose not sure whether crank is on TDC or not? Is there any simple way of confirming? Thanks Colin

Had my car on the Dyno today, best run was 407bhp but it started climbing out the rollers so they had to stop as it was affecting the readings. The car had a misfire at higher revs too apparently, as it went on the rolling road it certainly wasn't running on all 6 then seemed to clear. I took a video and I would appreciate it if anyone can advise me on the smoke, what it could be and how to sort it, thankz :)

Been working today on getting the car prepared to have the floor pan and sills welded. Spent the morning taking out the seats and carpet to reveal the extent of the rot. Then spent an hour with a hot air gun removing the sound deadening and managed to only burn myself a bit once, which is pretty good going for me ! Other than the rust you can see, there was not much else lurking underneath, which is good new. Is it possible to get replacement floor pan panels ? If so does anyone know where I can get one quickly ?

Anyone in/near Croydon with Conzult? I have a long running smoking problem on hard accel. Seems like over fuelling to me but want to run a diagnostic and rule out potential issues. I've never used Conzult before and don't have it so hoping someone on here can help out... Thanks Vig

So I've ended up buying 2. One is genuine from a forum member and the other is from a company called import car parts and is advertised as OE Quality. So I'm curious what the differences are if anyone knows and what's the best of the 2. Here are some pictures, the Nissan one is on the right:

after indstslling headers and a afpr at the weekend i took my zed out last night, and its developed a misfire/ hesitaion at 4K+ rpm, on throttle, if i back off the throttle a bit it stops and revs fine, i've got to drive it to noel for mapping at the weekend, i dont want to drive too far if its not running right. its a 95'NA, also over the weekend had a carbon canister delete, and duel intakes fitted, (did a test run before chaning headers was fine) base fuel pressure ( which i hope i've stright) is 3.1 kgcm2 with engine running and vacuume disconected, (43psi) one of the 02 sensors is looking a bit slugish, but is working and changin corectly …

Don`t get some peoples idea of removing and supplying an engine, currently fitting an engine for a customer who bought it not seen. The customer removed the plenum for powder coating and dropped the rest with us for build up cam belt service etc etc and fit into his zed. But why remove the engine by cutting the wiring loom to the alternator, cut the oil cooler rubber pipes, hack the ac pipes, cut the cable to the oil pressure sender etc. So making the job harder by cutting stuff is just bonkers, next to no time saving when removing from the donor zed, just unprofessional and lazy in my view! i'm looking to buy a quality set of suspension without paying over the top, ive got eibach adjustable all round at the moment but they have aged and i'm not to keen on them anyway, although they are great for handling and lowering the car i just feel like i'm driving about in a bobsleigh as i feel every bump and with me planning on doing alot of miles i just dont think they are going to be suitable, i have no intention of paying for the name and have seen a couple of sets on the bay from bc, racing logic, daiyama and slide and also seen the meister set available on the forum has anyone got any recommendations from experience please
