As the title states, today I had a very strange parts request. As many of you may know, I've been stripping my old Zed to help pay for my new one. But today I had the biggest and strangest request so far. Someone asked to buy the whole rear end of the car.... The boot, rear quarters, floor pan etc... Basically the whole lot. Then I noticed the buyer was from the USA, I told him I had everything he needed but thought that the postage might bit a little bit costly :). He then replied that it would actually be going to Dubai and that his brother in the UK will sort it all out. I think its blatantly a scam but also think I'll see how long I can keep humourin…

I have just noticed the bonnet, tops of wings, boot lid, boot spoiler, and roof are covered in small micro blisters under the lacquer / topcoat........ I have big blisters on boot spoiler and middle of the bonnet with lacquer flaking off....... Can't afford a respray now...... I have been told it may have been due to the breathable cover that has covered the car over this winter, trapping the moisture under the cover? I have also been told it may have been moisture ingress when painted, a reaction between primer, colour coat and top coat??? Strangely it seems okay on the sides of the car, only top panels..... Boot spoiler showing yellow primer through spots…

I've just been down to Leicester to pickup my zed after noz has mapped it ......if there was a word that described the biggest cheesiest grin ever I would have to write it as that's what I've got......to say the zed is rapid is an understatement as the knob head in the Audi S5 found out ....up my tail pipes at 70 so I cogged it down just one gear and bloody hell it let lose the dogs of war ......the thing is insane !! Can't thank Noel enough he Is a real gent and definately knows his way round a re map If any body wants more from their zed he is the man to see ...get your names down quick as he is very busy Yippee Kay yay .......:clap::biggrin:

Anyone have any idea how much a garage would charge to redo the brake lines on a zed ? They all pretty much need to be done, and after spending the past couple of weeks on my back welding it, ive kinda lost my mojo :( if its not too horrendous il pay a garge to do it, if it is then i guess il be on my back for another week :( ( sound like a cheap hooker ! lol)

I have just dropped a TT lump in my car and gone to bolt up the original N/A pump to the mounting that came with the engine and it doesn't fit.......? The N/A pump is too wide to sit in the gap where it bolts up to..... I have also been trying to fit the hard pipes for the intercooler and want to know if they go through the small gap either side where the anti roll bolts on? They don't seem to fit the gap?? Do I really need to drop the front mounts to slide them through? To top it off I opened the bonnet to be confronted with all the lovely chrome gone rusty......... Not happy now....... Need some help........ Thanks Russ

Well received a call this morning to say that the zed has a small bit of corrosion on the inner sill area. Gutted to say the least, he reckons it aint bad but having seen some of the horrors uncovered by people on here after starting to sort small area I aint holding out much hope!! Fingers crossed it is as small as he thinks, regardless it will all be cut out and sorted properly!! Not what I need when I have it up for sale. Done less than 1k since its last mot but if it is rotting from the inside out that means nothing, so fingers crossed its all good when I go up today.

Hi ive tried to fit my doolz v2 setup today to find that the pipe work hits the back of my intercooler so I turned the doolz pipe so it does not rub against the fmic. The problem im now getting is the silcone extensions kink under the heag light because of the angle its sitting at. Ive done a search and see people have problems with the doolz hitting the fmic but nothing about the restrictions caused by the pipe kinking under the head light.* Will this cause any problems being kinked? Ive been thinking of doing away with the doolz and fitting an air filter on each inlet. But then I loose out on getting even air flow to each turbo. Has anyone done this? Ch…

ive picked up a replacement diff tonight but its a non abs version . ive done plenty of searching on the web and im pretty that i can change the back plate to house the abs sensors and change the shafts and replace with the ones out of my old diff that have the abs rings on (not sure of the right name) both are n/a diffs so im hoping everything is interchangable . has anyone done this before . it looks fairly straight forward but if anyone has any pointers or recommendations they will be gladly received . also does anybody have any info on when the lsd diff without the abs was used. cheers andy

so ive had my z for 3 years now and its spent most of the time parked up due to lack of time and commitment. its finally on the road now after having the rocker cover gasket leak fixed from zedworld. however its still leaking oil from the rear cam seals. ive sent pictures to jeff and hes advised that it is the most probably cause of leak. since the weather has been surprisingly sunny ive been driving it daily so its got me thinking, if im going to continue to repair faults to an engine that i have no history on why go through the hassle and spend x amount of money which could be more then the cost of a rebuild. i know it would be best to just rebuild the engine so that i …

After much pain I finally got the downpipes off then to find that I cannot remove one of the 02 sensors from one of the pipes and have rounded the nut. The car cannot stay where it is today and needs to be driven so would it be ok to drive for now without the 02 sensors connected to my new downpipe?

Do you know what I mean? do they have a proper name? They sit on the flat part of the door card half way up, between the switches and the seatbelt. How rare are they? are they even a stock thing? Basically I want to get some soon, I'm just not even sure where to start, what its actually called would be a good start ey.
