Hi My wheels have no mark on them stating the offset, so i am trying to work it out. The front wheels are 8.5 J and the inside of the hub on the wheel is 15.5cm from the inner edge. They have 2cm wheel spacers on but what is the offset? My maths is shocking obviously. Anyone have any idea? Cheers

Hi everyone, it's been a long, long time. Just like Steve (Cybernet - how are you mate?), I promise I haven't been in the slammer doing time! Just been busy with family, work etc etc. I have a 92 Jap TT and have barely covered 10k miles during the past 12 years. I know, downright embarrassing. Having sat in the garage for the past 8 months, I was encouraged by a few mates to take it to Japfest. Apprehensively, I reconnected the battery, pumped up the tyres, fired her up and.......absolutely beautiful. I'd almost forgotten the howl from the V6 and the deep purr from the exhaust. Drive to Japfest was fun to say the least. It always amazes me how well these 20+ year ol…

Went for a nice short 10 mile drive tonight whilst it was quiet. Anyway, down a hill I gave it a few beans to 69.9mph and I hear a poof and then lots of white smoke suddenly appeared from the exhausts in the rear view mirror! So, I drive to a layby and see what is causing it and when I open the engine I see this... http://s265.photobucket.com/user/gregthay/media/20130606_201531.jpg.html So there is oil over the fuel filter, battery and on this side of the engine only. I notice white smoke from both exhausts though.. So I look underneath.. http://s265.photobucket.com/user/gregthay/media/20130606_201555.jpg.html Then ontop... http://s265.photobucket.com/user/gre…

YEAH!!!!!! After months..maybe years.. i have finally fitted the replacement gearbox into the car, i know its still got a long way to go but this has been a big milestone, i can finally crawl under the car without a massive lump of ally and a 3 ton trolley jack in the way. However, i have one question...how the hell do i put the 4 bolts through the starter gear into the Torque Conv. there's no bleeding room for them!! The starter hole has no gap big enough for the bolt Rich

Are there any thoughts on best infectors for Zeds? im thinking of going Jecs but my main query is do you get the standard swap ones or the upgraded ones? Both fit the car, both have 3 year warranties.. but the upgrded injectors always state theirs some grinding to do ive asked the supplier the difference and they say the swap out ones can go at anytime and the upgraded ones very rarely go.. thought that was a very starange statement and wondered if it was a sales tactic?? what experiences have you had? Cheers

just a follow on from why not to use No Genuine nissan belts or 3rd party branded as per the other Thread about using non genuine belts these are the things you need to be looking out for when timing Having the Cams and Lower sprocket in the correct place now as all Proper 300z Mechanics know that the timing marks on the 300z are only for point of Ref not for timing the car engine spot on when timing you start from the bottom working anti clockwise as the tensioner is on the left Refer to this when using a belt that don't have the timing lines on it 24-45-24-59,---------,76 from the crank to the right exhaust cam. numbers are teeth betwe…

ive bought a second hand DW hicas brackets and adjustable arms, but rather than use polybushes i would prefer to solid mount. Does anyone have a rear hub handy and a set of verniers they could measure for me ? I need to know the ID of the hole as well as the depth, and i can get some ally bushes made up :) I dont want to dismantle mine to do it as im not long to go with the welding then sticking it in for an mot so dont want to be left with the hicas broken and the machinists not able to do the bushes quick enough. any help would be appreciated :batman:

Well im moving out of my unit earlier than I wanted due to a lot of brake ins around the site im not chancing it. Over the last 6 years I can't believe how much ive been hoarding for the zed over the years lots of it is no longer any use to me. Ive been finding parts ive forgot about or thought id lost as wel asl replaced. Im going to have a big for sale/give away thread of parts soon from engine brackets/parts, pipes, interior parts, body parts, running gear and suspension parts to after market bits that I need to clear out quick. If you have anything in mind let me know? Cheers Dan

Well was that time of the year again, insurance renewal. Decided to try Sky and their modified policy:- I'm 32. All mods declared on car, chip, intercoolers, filter, exhaust, brakes, wheels, etc, interior, etc. Agreed valuation. CU80 conviction. Fully comp. 3000 mile limitation. Not a classic policy, so drive other cars etc. £325 :) Made me a very happy boy :) I've just had a knee operation, so just need a few weeks of recovery then I will be good to go. Thank you Sky Insurance.
