I have a problem with my drivers door mirror. My car is a 1993 Jap LWB TT. I got hold of another mirror mechanism but it's no use as my mirror has heated glass as well as the a connector for the wires, whereas the mirror assy I got was hard wired. I have attached a photo of the mirror assy on my car. My question is, is this the correct one for a 93 Jap LWB TT, or has my car had a different mirror fitted in it's life? Just so I can make sure I get the right one next time. Thanks.

Good morning to all. I have a 91 tt auto and coming home from a fishing trip to poole yesterday the gearbox gave up the ghost. I am not sure if it is the box or the torque converter. What it is doing> When in D it has a bit of drive but making all kinds of funny sounds and at one point just before I stopped it sounded like some one had hit it with a hammer. It was at this point I pulled over. It will not engage Reverse, you can hear it trying to but no reverse. I have only had the car 6 months and have not done any kind of miles in it so have not done a lot to it and have no idea as to the service life it has had. The only thing I did whe…

  9. Evening all, So i am playing with the zed now and after sorting out my interior gaiters and stereo situation i have a 1 piece prop to fit courtesy of the previous owner. How heavy are they as this 1 piece (i am told its a lightweight) i dont have any scales but i would imagine a good 20kgs plus at least. Also i have had a few people asking me the make and model of my wheels. i am yet to receive my hydraulic jack so cant get them off to check. Can anyone Recognize them? Going to see if i can sneak into work and swap the prop over myself. Anyone have a list of tools required? Many Thanks in Advance Steve

Ok, slowly putting some interior back together, choosing which parts to use. One of my centre console panels has this button..... And this is a close up, the wire at the bottom of the pic is the connecting wire. Anyone know what it is or if it's even standard???

Hi guys, 1992 TT Auto - running ok, a little bit of a bone shaker (centre bearing prob) but if I take it easy between 40-50, 2-3K revs (highest gear?) she really struggles and shakes until I put my foot down a little more and drive through the shaking. Pulls fine and power seems normal. Any ideas? Dom

It turns out The front pipes from the turbo's to the centre section are stainless, however everything else appears not to be. and the pipes between the centre section and the back boxes are quite badly corroded. to the point of just behind the wheel little holes are forming before the back boxes. I'm unsure what to do though, I've been told there maybe a place local that does custom 2,3/4" pipe so i could possibly just get the worst bits replaced and keep the back boxes and the centre section or find a new one. I am a little concerned about buying one off the shelf because I may have some trouble lining up with my bumper. Any suggestions?

Having had my rear sub-frame out a couple of times so as to make various repairs, which in turn resulted in the camber arms being removed and re fitted. Is there an easy way of checking that I have returned the camber set up correctly? The reason I ask is, I am noticing a slight uneven tyre wear from outside to inside. Tracking has been set using track-rite plate method so as to toe out very slightly and the camber, well I just set that to the mid position on the eccentric bolts. Any thoughts/tips?

I've got a problem with the front tyres catching against the wheel arch liners, this was happening a bit with my 225/19/40s but now I have 235s on the front it is worse Problem occurs when cornering - the sharper the corner or fster the speed the more likely it is to catch I also noticed a few others at the show last weekend had the same problem So I need to sort it out. I asked Jeff at Zedworld to look at this when my car was there last time It seems to me the wheels sit a bit too far forward in the arches and he said to fit some adjustable tension rods so I could alter the wheel position Any recommendation what I need to buy and from where?…

  21. I was thinking what next now. im thinking of a fuel pressure regulator and some injectors but there seem to be lot of choices to look at, dont want to go all out cas i have stock internals. But i do have a straght through decate exhaust, very large fmic, large aftermarket oil cooler, and the biggest k & n air filter, E.B.C . and new built tubs. I just thought if and when i have all the bits on the list to do. and if i do i dont want to compromise any reliability or running issues. oh where to start? any good read ups or links, much appriciated thanks.

Got to noz today, had a slight over fueling issue that was causing people behind me to have stripped paint on the bonnet, and when ever i put my foot down, i litarally left them in a cloud of black dust. So, considering last time i had my car on a dyno it had slipping clutch and bold tyres plus running rich, it pulled 424.6bhp (engine), its time to do a bit of a guessing game as to what power im now running, now its had a tune. (for those on facebook with me as a friend, please dont ruin it lol) This was just a tune, with out touching the boost controller (well unless noz turned it down slightly lol) Mods are. - Mapped chip from Noz - Nismo 555…
