Hi All, Having owned my Z for 7 days now, I'm still in the process of trying to iron out any problems before the really bite me in the butt! I took the car for wheel alignment today, because the steering wheel wasn't quite sitting true in a straight line, which may have been throwing the HICAS out. The wheel now sits straight so that's one part ironed out... While it was up on the ramp for alignment, I noticed the drivers side front has a fair amount more negative camber than the nearside. The pictures aren't all that clear, but the drivers side wheel is a good inch further in at the top than the passenger side. This is confirmed by a worn tyre on the inside edg…

Basically do i buy the same make and model of tyre front and back or put on slight dif tyre on the rear. I was thinking of the tyre size is going to be the same for both groups here goes. Toyo Proxes T1 Sport; rear 265 35 18 £142.00 and front 235 40 18 £123.00 or Yokohma Advan Sport V103 rear 265 35 18 £156.00 Toyo proxes C18; 235 40 18 front £123.00 Basically i was thinking rather than a good all round i was thinking a really good tyre up frount and some reall good but pos better sticker tyres at the rear.Any ideas on that please.

Seeing as my car is still unsold its given me time to think about what model zed im after. I think the only way for me to go down the N/A route would be if it was a manual with a little bit of work done to it like a little more beef than 170bhp. At least I think thats what they are standard. Anyone here who owns an N/A auto let me know how it is with regards to power and responsiveness of the gear changes both up and down. Sorry for the anal question I just want to get the right one :-)

To cut a long story short I replaced my seized speed sensor a few years ago as pas and speedo stopped working but still didnt work? Now im trying to finally find out why. Its a 92 manual tt . The sensor unit I got from a breakers yard and the cog I got from the states which is blue in colour and has 18 teeth. The thing is I now have the gearbox out and have noticed when I turn the gearbox by hand the sensor doesnt turn? But is touching slightly as it has ware on the center of the blue cog as if its not quite big enough. I have checked the sensor with a drill drill running it and the speedo works fine. What cog should I have as somthing is not right. Or does anyone have a…

Hello everyone. Ok so my new 300zx arrived home this week, it is a dark blue 4th series manual TT. Really well looked after apart from an idiot who repainted the spoiler by hand in the wrong blue! I am going ot be getting some lowerign springs and eventually coilovers and 18" wheels which will probably be black or split silver and black/matte black. Along with that I was thinking a gloss black spoiler would probably set it off quite nicely. (I may be wrong but worth a shot). Either way I am wondering if there is any advice to the process or any write ups on respraying sometime like this myself? I can get a guy to do it but I would much rather lend my …

I am contemplating replacing all of the O rings on my air conditioning system. Is it possible to do whilst the unit etc is still on the car? I guess there will be issues with access. How many out of ten in terms of difficulty would this likely to be?

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone in the Burnley area would be willing to come with me to look at a car...? It's a '98 zed. I have limited knowledge about looking at a mechanically sound car anyway, never mind what I should be looking for on a zed. I'd appreciate any help :-) I'll be looking to come down one Saturday (maybe Sunday) this month. Thanks :-) :thumbup1:

Just fitted my uprated Z1 side mount inter coolers and the question is this: do you guys recommend keeping the original air flow ducts attached or bin them:blink: I have a 99 spec front end so have pretty large inter cooling apertures! I have just fitted them and re-fitted these ducts but sat here thinking is hat the correct thing to have done! Must add they fit like a glove...........well impressed:biggrin:

Guys and Gals Just wanted to see what the general consensus was around brake pedal feel and progression in their zeds To start, im still running stock calipers rebuilt with new pistons, seals, sliders etc, HEL lines, DBA 4000 discs and DS2500 pads all round. Im 99.9% sure my system is air free and im running DOT 5.1 fluid thats less than 12 months old. I do have big brake kit almost ready to go, but im sure this "issue" isnt caliper related. Ok, so as much as im happy with the performance of the stock brakes (although ill freely admit they dont have the out right power that i now feel i need due to my substantial increase in power) in that they VERY rarely …
