Which pipe is it you need to tap into? Is it the pipes that the boost jets go into. So T. Them together then into the valve. Back out then into a T then back to the pipes that had the boost jets?

Just got back from two cold months in the Falklands and I have come back to beautiful hot England and my car was ready to be collected from the paint shop. I am very happy, very happy indeed. Driving past shop windows is amazing! Before During After Ill give it a bloody good wash and wax and get some SLR photos taken somewhere nice. Thanks to Mark for the wheels. a lot of the new bits are obvious but basically the front and back were badly fitted and rough now they are immaculate. And a bit of rust the size of a 50 p was cut out of the rear wing, the only rust found on the car or under! Brand new MOT on it and as before 43…

  3. I discovered this on my ECU today: Any ideas what it translates as...? Zedworld haven't been able to trace the work they did as the numberplate isn't on their records, and I don't know what the previous reg was.

  5. Hi all, been a while since I’ve been on here. Kind of lost interest with my car being off the road really, a few had been asking about the car so … Now another 12 weeks delay because of piston manufacturer being useless!! To cut a long story short when the engine first failed we stripped it down and discovered that the first machinist had put the valve pockets in the wrong place so had some valve/piston contact hi revs, pistons scrap  Original pistons were made by wossner but they couldn’t do a new set any time soon and very expensive so went to one of the American companies, been a nightmare with almost 6 months of waiting and mess-ups! Fortunately Chris who …

well where to start looking on this one, i've gained a slight misfire but only for the first couple of seconds after a cold start (as in car been stood a few days) it is litterally as the car first fires and builds upto cold tick over revs then it's gone, it was accompanied by a puff of smoke this morning first time it's done that, then car runs ok with no issues, i've got no water loss but using a bit of oil, and prob due a oil change too. any help appreciated

  9. Hello all, (I promise I will be subscribing soon after all these Questions!)... So, my 300 has developed an idle misfire (not bad but noticeable via the exhaust sound). here are the facts.... above 1200 rpm it disappears. Smooth engine otherwise. 70k miles. No smoke etc whatsoever. have had the odd day of it not misfiring at all. but for the majority it misfires. Only started at the weekend after a week of running fine. Misfires in a regular pattern: hovers at 1k rpm without a misfire for a few seconds, then drops to 750rpm and misfires, then slowly creeps back up to 1k rpm over 10 seconds, stops misfiring for 3 - 5 seconds, and then repea…

I usually use the alarm key to lock the car. Today I tried to open the car before I had unlocked it, and hey presto it wasn't actually locked. I then noticed that when I press the key although you can hear the doors sounding as if they lock, they don't actually lock. The passenger door can be locked with the key, but not the drivers, it has to be locked and unlocked with the handle inside. Can anyone shed any light on what is happening?

  16. I know the whole static show is not for everyone, and tbh by lunch time me personally I'm done with the major shows. Walking round the civics doesn't really get my juices flowing lol, I only really turn up to chat to the club members and if applicable see what's going on, on track. So I was thinking, what sort of things are we not doing that you would like to be doing? For example planned road rallyes, BBQ's, zed specific track days of some sort? What would make you think YES that I want to attend! Ideas on a postcard please.

  25. Started by Eggs,

Last night I removed my cam covers and found this oil down the front of the engine. I'm guessing it's from the rocker cover gaskets leaking rather than the cam seals as going on Jeff's thread the other day I would have seen oil on the top of the covers but they were spotless, as is the belt and gears. The gaskets were pretty hard. Give me your opinions before I go any further please.
