Thanks to my good mate Jimmer for this evening's work on my Z. Just a little bit of offset correction for the rear. When I was over at Z1 last month, I felt that my Z could use an extra 10mm, so bought the Z1 spacers and NISMO extended bolts and brought them back to the UK with me and this evening Jim fitted them for me and did a rear brake clean up and inspection, a ConZult check and a full underbody check over. Needless to say, the car was running perfectly, all the sensors, idle, O2, balance test and everything else was all spot-on, rear brake shoes adjusted, so it's all ready for the drive down to the south of France next month which I can't wait for! Thanks…

As above I have two silly questions which I hope someone will know the specific answers to. 1.How do I wash the oem shagpile floor mats. Ie what can I use to wash them and how? 2.How much shorter is a short shifter? is it even shorter? will it lower the gear stick knob by x amount? Hopefully for the purposes of my ocd the answer is just over an inch lol. (I'm not saying why) :shifty:

While I was working on the speedo cluster last weekend I was giving the clocks a quick dust and accidentally moved the fuel gauge needle - the other three needles (i.e. temp, speed and revs) all drop down to rest but the fuel one seems static. I moved it back to where I thought it was before, but like a numpty I completely forgot to check when I started the car yesterday, so after work I filled it right up to the top with Shells' finest and the gauge appears to be reading ok (slightly above the 'F'). However my question is will the fuel gauge have re-sorted itself out when I started the engine or by moving it have I 'de-calibrated' it so it will now always be slightly und…

What connects where screw driver is pointing? I've been stripping various parts to learn more about the locations of everything and just wondered what would normally be here.

Hi all, Looking for some advice really. I was driving around all day today mainly on long runs but as i got to town and was at traffic lights or roundabouts i.e slow traffic, the cars revs and power seemed very inconsistent. At first it was dipping in revs and seemed to cut in and out and then just as i was coming home tonight sat at traffic lights the car was dipping in revs and seemed as if the car was trying to stay on...i then went to take off and there was no power and seemed as if the car was struggling to go. I had my foot down but was fighting against cutting out. I pulled over and turned the engine off. Waited 5 mins and started it back up turning off the he…

Now they need the reg number so which bloody reg to I give them. The private one that I will be using for a few days or take a chance that the old reg is still active. SOmebody must have come round and swapped my car Late saturday (as we were out) Because not only has the white smoke problem gone away, the keyless entry and locking has now started to work from the fob - something that never worked in over two years of owning this car and a feature I didn't even think it had as it is an early 93 with seatbelts on the doors!!

Something I've been meaning to ask for ages. What's the point of the air intake pipes that lead into the wings on the NA? On the turbo, these downpipes, off the main air intake pipes, lead to the dump valves. I would have expected bunged pipes on the NA, but instead you get this complicated (and from what I can see is pointless) mess of plastic that goes off into the wing. I don't plant to use these i my rebuild, I plan to just bung the holes, unless someone tells me otherwise.

yesterday i put it on, seeing it in actual place makes it look alot better and even considering keeping the wood trim :D the gear shifter i had ordered from the states. doesn't fit with properly with or with out the rubber neck. so it just temporarily wedged on for show only until i figure out a permanent fix. i have to say the steering wheel feels miles better then what i had on before, even though its a nice piece what it used to look like

Ok, went to swap the clutch cylinder from my NA onto my turbo shell. I know TT's have a pump, so knew I'd need to swap. I removed the cylinder from the engine bay, then got under the TT dash and thought ok, tight, but fine... Went to check out the NA (which is already stripped down) only to find there are no nuts! There are no nuts in the engine bay either. So how do I get the NA clutch assembly off?! NA - TT

Earlier on this year i decided i would attempt to do a new style dash cluster gauge holder. So i got went shopping for materials and got started. firstly i needed something to form a shape so i started cutting out some cardboard and covered it in lots of tape. then i had to make it into a solidish shape, so i glued together some florist foam and shaped it out and plenty of filler. then lots of sanding After this i stripped down a original cluster cowl and started on making two become one. lots of filler and many hours sanding and shaping later i had something that looked like this I then got it all painted up and ready to mak…

Hi. Ill try and explain the best i can as not very good with all this writing stuff.. anyways i bought a 1990 300zx tt the other day, with low milage and full service histort. It looked like it had been stood awhile tho . When i went to pick it up it seemed like it was only running on a few cylinders.. This helped alot in knocking the price down severly. Anyways i ended up getting it very cheaply. we trailered the car away. Got it home and after a bit of research i decided to get some new plugs, fit them, also did the injector screwdriver test and found 2 of the injectors wernt working, i removed the plugs off them and found them to be green. I cleaned the termi…
