Thanks to Noel for his efforts yesterday and overnight to get my car mapped ready for the TimeAttack event this weekend. Time has quite literally been against us from the start with the amount of work to be done, got the car up to him to map for the changed setup but niggles with setting up the new ecu meant it wasn't to be :( Anyhow, I managed to get up there last night and we traced the issues and got the car mapped, finishing around 4:30am this morning... And of course thanks to Jimmer for getting the car rebuilt in time too! Now to start getting packed up to go to Oulton Park this evening. Going to be a long day:blink:

Hi all, going to get a boost leak tester made up tomorrow, I've read of two methods of doing the test... Can I just attach the airline end to where the MAF sensor is and pressurise? or do you need to remove the hoses from the throttle bodies and put blanking plugs in each one? OR are both methods just as good as each other? Thanks in advance! Kane

Booked in for MoT tomorrow morning:clap: Originally got this Z back in 2011 after passing through a few club members hands, http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?156314-My-latest-purchase, and as we all know time just seems to fly past, but, with hectic work/life changes, decided to get it sorted, well rather the very capable Lee Dent, of L.A.Auto's Shrewsbury. who I entrusted to work his magic on it, as I am too busy atm. He did the engine swap for me and also did the usual deletes/mods, infact his attention to detail and passion for Z's is refreshing to see in the trade. I am in the motor trade myself, and it was still a pleasure to pop down to his p…

Got a hissing sound coming from passenger side, I've had a look and there's a downward facing pipe not far from the front. This looks like it should have a small pipe attached, but doesn't ? Engine also seems to be hunting a bit on idle, still drive ok though Any help ?? :)

Hey folks been absent for a while..ya know life..work..wife... anyhow back here and thinking to put a new xenon kit into my Z, lots of doubts here since some people tell me to go for 8000K but some other say best choice is 6000K since the 8000 will blue more but! less light..and I think they are right from what I read. My doubts come alone when I want to choose the right one.. I do know I need a H3 6000k BUT WHAT BRAND? A buddy who´s Canadian mentioned me about BEAMERS they seem to be pretty good lights but only one problemo, they don´t have any distributors in Europe and they do not ship international, so only choice would be finding someone from Edmonton Ca, be…

Spent nearly a month in the US through parts of May and June and did quite a bit of traveling. Met up with the usual LAZ32 crowd in Los Angeles and also my friend Kenny down in San Diego with his 240z he lets me drive. Some time in Arizona with the ProjectZ32 crowd at the Pavillions Car show in Scottsdale, I also went to my 3rd Branson Z Fest out in Missouri and my 2nd visit to see the guys at Z1 Motorsports in Georgia. It wasn't for the nationals this time, but I spend a couple of days with the guys and went out for dinner with Russell Floyd and a few others. Had an awesome time as always.....not to mention the Ferrari California a friend from Texas let me borrow! A…

Seen these on e bay and they do look rare as I have never seen them before. Very nice addition to any zed collection :thumbup1: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300ZX-Options-Brochure-1992-Japanese-Z32-/221255429010?pt=UK_CarParts_Vehicles_Manuals_Litterature_ET&hash=item3383d9eb92 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300ZX-1999-Brochure-Japanese-Z32-/221255434595?pt=UK_CarParts_Vehicles_Manuals_Litterature_ET&hash=item3383da0163 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300ZX-naVan-Brochure-Japanese-Z32-/221255432335?pt=UK_CarParts_Vehicles_Manuals_Litterature_ET&hash=item3383d9f88f http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300ZX-Collision-Parts-Catalog-RHD-Z32…

I thought it about time that the Z's setup was brought up to date (seeing as some of the settings are years old now) so I took her to Noel's for a tuning. Before: 359.9bhp, 399.6lbft After: 418.1bhp, 453lbft A relatively measly figure compared to some of Noel's recent successes, but a decent improvement all the same. I'm waiting for him to send over pics from the session and the dyno charts. He identified that both o2 sensors are lazy, and carried out a bit of plumbing work to tidy up the engine bay a little more. Nice to meet you Noel, and I'm sure you'll make a good MEO!

Looking for options really on upgrading the brakes. find the standard suffer brake fade.. im aware of the DSports and Ksports, brembos, gtr33's interested in your thoughts if you have these but also are there any other options? reading through the threads someone has made a bracket and fitted Porsche brakes etc. Looking at infrequent track use but also I can use with spirited driving but without the brake fade and some increased stopping power... cheers

Good morning all. So this seems to be getting worse I think over the last week... In first and second when pulling away at low revs and when the clutch is fully engaged, there is a kind of grinding sound coming from the gearbox area. If pootling about it first around a carpark I can definitely hear this loud grind at around 1 - 2k rpm, above that it isn't noticable though. Any ideas? It isn't clutch related, nor is it a rattle of a heatshield as you can hear and kind of weel it directly related to when you are driving with the gear and clutch engaged. Any ideas? - gearbox oil time perhaps? Or center bearing or something like that? On other ne…

another free find, was lucky that i caught a glimpse of the car on a flat bed on its way to be scrapped, so i helped my self to the free treat. i could not get the boss kit off for the life of me!! took the centre bolt off and couldnt find or see anything else holding it down, i broke everything behind it with a pry bar but it wouldn't come off, eventually i gave up because it was raining and was half soaked!! but i think a leather trim would bring it back to life although the wood trim looks nice but wouldn't go with anything on the inside.
