Hi all. Just a quick question, how long does it take for the 300zx TT to get it's water up to full operating temperature? Mine seems to get up to full temp within a mile and this seems very quick and I'm a little worried, although it doesn't go above have way on the dial. I popped the bonnet after a spirited run and it was roasting under there, even the inner wings were hot. I've checked the water levels but i'm not sure I'm doing this correctly. My understanding is if the engine is cold the fluid in the rad should be brimmed and if the engine is hot you can check the level via the expansion tank? Ok that was two questions. ;) Chris.

How do you know if the diff is buggered? Tonight was the 1st time I gave it some beans and about 80ish I got like a loud wiring and a slight vibration in e rear any ideas? Or a dodgy wheel bearing. Or a fooked one piece prop?

Hello everyone! so what's your favourite and why? I always loved leather but my Zed has cloth currently and I quiet like it... Grips you in the corners! Is a navy blue which is smart too, but still considering picking up leathers this weekend... question is, would leather be lower than the cloth? I changed seats in my old E36 328i to leathers and they were considerably lower/sportier! If the only difference is my ass is going ot slip all over the place then I probably won't bother, but if they feel sportier and lower then I will be very tempted! best regards, William.

I had a great weekend rekindling a bromance with my best mate from uni this weekend. Crazy how time flies and people grow up! But to the point of this thread - he came to visit with his new Aston Martin Vantage S so we decided to spend most of Saturday exploring the B roads of Surrey in a 'sprightly' fashion! He's running 430bhp with a 4.2L V8. Considering I'm running stock boost and don't have the benefit of traction control and a flappy paddle gearbox I was genuinely amazed at how well the Zed kept up with the Aston. Don't misunderstand me, the Aston was faster but he had to push it pretty damned hard to get any real distance between us! I was lucky enoug…

Hi guys. Just giving my new 300zx a good detail and thought I'd check the drain holes are clear. I was able to push some cable down the rear holes and it went about 1.2 meter down then stopped. Can someone please tell me where the drain points end and should the cable be able to go all the way out the underside of the car? Cheers, Chris.

Anyone know if theres any difference between the older and later spec master cylinders... I know the early ones leaked so on my car I've used a later spec one and its slightly different to look at but it bolts up the same. Only reason im asking I kicked my car off the the bloody axle st a nds trying to bleed the brakes. The fronts bled up nice but the rears u really had yo stand on the pedal to get them to work. Wondering if the bias is set up slightly different, Any help appreciated.

D you use the standard Nissan rubber or do you have something aftermarket? I'm just wondering what options there are out there

  16. Started by bird,

So, I have the rad out and I'm wondering, should I put the shroud back on? I know there's the hazard of losing a finger, but I was thinking, I could leave it off and paint the fan nicely. What do you think?

  23. Ok so had the Anti-lock light on for a bit now, it came on a few times after I swapped the shocks the first time, over a couple of bumps it would come on, but then after the engine turned off it would be ok. then it stopped coming on altogether for a while, so I forgot about it thinking its fixed itself. Then after fitting the meister R's the other week its come back, and its on all the time, don't even need to move the car, just fire it up and in a second or so it comes on. So after going through some old threads I found this with a nice little tip from Jeff http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?136689-Anti-Lock-warning-light&highlight=anti-lock…

  24. Hi everyone, So I am tarting my Zed up whilst I look for a diesel and decide if I can afford to run both cars (I think it should be ok!), and this weekend tackled the mangled spoiler. The previous owner resprayed it by hand without primer etc and it looked sick (the bad kind of sick opposed to the young kids meaning of the word). The paint was bubbling and to make matters worse he didn't remove it first so the overspray onto the boot was tragic. I got some cutting compound and have removed all the overspray and the car is now minus a spoiler (and looking very HOT). Plugged the holes temporarily with some carbon style vinyl wrap... Very tempted to keep it…
