Hi. I have twin exits. One pipe a side. I was trying to search for this really rare look. It comes from the USA. Google used to have a few pictures of it but can't find them. Basically each exit is turned opposite each other in the middle of the car looking from the rear. It's not a complete side by side and the back of the mufflers are in this sort of shape.... °•. .•° So a slight 'v' to each other. It's hard to explain but I want to get a picture to take to the guys that will be doing it. The penis that fit my current system needs shooting! (Not Terry. The original knob). Pictures would be great if anybody has any. Love t…

today my z has been transformed. mikey bean came round to help(mainly do,lol) get the car working properly. so stripped the plenum off and fitted my venom555's and devlin chip and rebuilt it up. completely re-plumbed the whole boost system and rewired some bad connectors. the end result is the car is now an absolute animal. hiting 1bar of boost at only 3000rpm and holding perfectly. been at it all day so thankyou mate, your a star. consult results looks much better now too.

Ok, since I've had my Z, I have not been able to get air to blow out of the vents at the top/back of the dash :( I've been putting off the repair because I cannot be arsed to bust my back trying to get up under the dash. However I'm getting a bit bored of guessing where the road is at night!! :kamikaze: When I press the demister button, the air comes out of the "face" vents. When I did my retrim, I found that the pipe that connects the air flow from centre console to door vent was basically just forced roughly into place. (I've yet to find something that someone hasn't f##ked about with yet) Anyway, is it possible that there is another connecting pipe off, or is it goin…

When fitting electronic boost controllers on the zeds does it have to be dual solenoid or can you still fit single ones? I know dual is slightly better but was just wondering

Guys I've been wondering about something as I sometimes do. I asked my mate who knows more about cars but he could not explain this either There are these vacuum lines coming from the balance bar to the clutch and brake pedal boosters and no doubt other places too. But where does the vacuum actually come from? From my understanding of physics (OK I only did A level) if I have two turbos forcing air into the plenum at 9PSI (or even 19PSI with my boost controller) or maybe even more, then surely the plenum is gonna be full of compressed air, not a lack of it (i.e. a vacuum)...... isn't it? Does that makes sense? Rich

Seriously, before the trigger is pulled. I've done my research, but is anything missed? Anything too much? It's the old 'Things to do with the Gearbox Off' List.... (The O2 sensors are already new)

Hello everyone.....I hope the committee don't mind me putting this here. I am sure most of you have seen my thread about the Haynes Motor Museum meet in the local regions section. I had a conversation there today with one of the museum co-ordinators and told them of what we're doing and they're very keen to have a Z car gathering there at their 'Rare Breeds' event which takes place at their adjacent runway next Sunday (1st Sept). She is keen for me to get in touch with her with names and cars that are going as she wants to offer a little club plot and some wrist-bands for the event. There are all sorts of different cars there, so if you're interested in strange, rare…

Right Chaps Having pondered on the long term future of my car ive decided that its going to be a weekend warrior. Sooooo im looking at a plan to map out what bits im going to need to buy in the not too distant future. Car is currently running a zedworld chip and boost jets, ( I have a blitz ebc ready to go in) JWT pop charger filter Mongoose cat back grooved and drilled disks all round and mintex std pads which perform well at the mo. Turbos are stock Auto but im running a manual conversion that Jeff did a couple of summers ago. One piece prop shaft. Exceedy 4 blade puck clutch Engine is running stock internals. I've just bought the MeisterR coilovers with front and rear camber arms, rear traction rods and front tension rods. Was planning to get the HICAS elimination as well but wondering whether I really need to and what the difference is between all the ones out there?? http://www.driftworks.com/driftworks-total-hicas-eliminator-kit-for-nissan.html http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=236&Itemid=7 http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=1847 From the descriptions, they all appear to do the same thing but are very different in pricing.

So my speedo doesn't work. To sort this, I tried resoldering it all and it works when it wants to now. In my inexperience, I bought a set of UK clocks off eBay recently and, upon delivery, they appear to be Series 4 ones as they have an airbag light. I'd hoped that the speedo itself would be interchangeable but that doesn't appear to be the case. The actual plug sockets on the back of the entire cluster, however, look to be the same as on mine, albeit in slightly different locations. My question, then, is this: can I plug these straight into my Series 1 car and (airbag light aside) are they likely to work...??

It's my understanding that when the car is put in gear the timing should change. This should be noticeable on the rev counter, well it's not. Revs raise when you depress the clutch then stay the same as you select a gear. Trouble is my bottom pulley has no marks on it.... So what should I do first?
