Hi all, I got my Z on the road for the first time last week since buying it and fixing her up a bit over the last few months. My main issue is poor running (almost likeits missing on a cyclinder, constant shake to the car and poor power), but i'm going to check injectors and coil packs in the next few days. what I would mainly like to ask about is my oddometer.. i've done some reading and can find symptoms of speedometers cutting out at certain speeds, not working when cold due to dry joints, not working entirely, oddometers not working at all.. However I cant find any reference to an oddometer running at a lesser value... I just filled up £50 of Vpower, and …

Hi all I have acquired a blitz setup consisting of the boost controller , power meter and turbo timer. Aparrently all 3 units talk to one another and its a plug and play setup, apart from the tubing to the solenoid of course. Has anybody got / used this setup in the past, is it any good. Looking for opinions before I see about having it fitted.

Well as some of you know im finnaly getting my car striped and ready for the paint shop and whilst doing this im just having question or two about the window rubbers. Has anyone taking them off /out.because. .the rear trim that gose around the rear window from the outside on the side and bottom all one pieace tome likes once when new looks like it was on a roll and was quite flexi nut twenty five years later has got hard.question is was is flexi when new and ifso is it easyly sorced. and finnally the front top winscreen seems to be in two bits and didnt someone say the bmw one fits, and if thats the case then do the front windowscreen need to be removed? please, thanks.

Once again another exhaust question from me :confused:... After some looking about I've managed to find a veilside exhaust, its up for nearly a grand but it's a full system with resonated front pipes. So to keep cost down, I was guna keep my 2.5" frontpipes, and just get the Cat back, I'm sure I read somewhere a 3" veilside kit will bolt straight onto a 2.5" standard system, and i'm assuming my front pipes will be the same dimensions as the standard cats. but the guy said it'll need adapters to fit, or is he just saying this to get rid of the full system? Any ideas guys?

My spare slicktop needs some speakers front and back. I had some fronts but nothing for the back Will these do???? Ie will they fit straight in without hassle. RIGHT we have my partner that is, has another car and im a named driver does this equate to owning or having another car, because i would like to insure my zed now its nearly finished on a classic policy. say 5.000 miles or under.fully comp and i shall list mods like fmic and exhaust air filter ebc alloys ect .any help much appriceated,,.

Now I've always thought the Z32 was an attention grabber, but today really did prove that. I don't normally take my car to shows as there are never any around in the 'reasonably local area' and there are never any I like (car guy type car shows)...ie, for me, 'Donny' and 'Modified Madness' are my ideas of hell! But we're lucky that in Bristol, there's a monthly meet called the Avenue Drivers' Club that meets at Queen's Square in Bristol, only 5 miles from my house which is in Portishead. What's awesome about this monthly gathering is that it caters for the true car guy, so no riced out heaps with nasty bodykits and tacky modifications, this was full of Ferrari 348s, 355s,…

My clutch is slowly loosing pressure and fluid, 30mm over a week I guess. Anyways I suspected it to be the braided line I fitted last summer, bit annoying as I've only done about 1500 miles since then. Another member had the same issue, we both brought them at the same time, so maybe it was a dodgy batch. I checked it today and there's a sweaty patch half way down and a damp patch on the box to correspond. So I'm pretty damn sure this is the problem. Anyone else had this issue? Il be phoning te person who supplied it, anyone know what the cost of a new slave is aswel, that's the only other thing it could be.

When I fitted my boost controller I took the pipe from my boost gauge just so I could fit it on the day and the gauge is now redundant. Got more pipe now so I can pipe the gauge back up, question is nice and simple can I tee into the original pipe or will it affect controller?

ok i know how the pipe work goes pipes from the intake intercooler pipe or balance tube then to MBC the to the actuator . so is the boost solenoid is redundent now ? do you need to block it off some how or can i just unplug the pipes and just leave it open. i take it with MBC you now loose saftey boost. can you keep solenoid in like when using boost jets ? can some one explain this to me please :wacko:

Been pondering on this since I spoke to the legnum vr4 guys at japfest 2. A couple of the are running it on tuned legnums (300bhp, 2.5 twin turbo V6), had them a couple of years and do daily drive, trackdays, dragtrips the lot. 1 of them installs the kits and inspires a lot of confidence with his knowledge. He actually maps the car on log as you would with petrol, with an afr meter etc. Recon a 60 litre spare tyre tank would go in the wheel well. My Z is running 18 psi with full rebuild and gt28 turbos. Any thoughts? Heard the horror stories about valve seats and less lubrication etc. But everything I threw at the legnum guys they had a good answer. Backed up by years of …

Hello, can i get some opinions of the value for money of this car. It seems genuinely unmolested, colour is good. Cloth seats look a bit scruffy, would swap for full leather if purchased. Was in market for Manual but maybe this is a candidate for a conversion if it can be had cheap enough. So what price is fair? How much to factor in for manual conversion and cloth to leather swap? So this afternoon was spent sorting a 350z with a very noisy clutch operation, the owners brief was to repair the car as cheap as possible. The noisy when depressing the clutch pedal was really loud, but until the gearbox was removed we had no idea of what the clutch condition was so pre-warned the owner we could not be certain until removed and inspected. So there are a few different things when removing a 350x the box compared to a 300zx, such as the gear lever that does not disconnect so the gear knob has to be removed. I've been getting a doddgy idle recently, so I plugged her in and it show my TPS at 0.8 volts. So I loosened it off and tried to adjust it but I can't get it to go below 0.78 until it hits its limit. What else could be affecting it? My timing was a bit up at about 25 once warm.

Hi all ive bought a zed from a very nice chap on here and its been great. Went to start it a minute ago and nothing. The immobiliser fob unlocked the car with the usual beep. Went to start it and nothing happened. I think its deadlocked. I have a autowatch fob with a button and another grey thingy that fits into a little housing in the drivers footwell so I presume thats a reset fob. But everytime I go to reset it the alarm half goes off then stops and then starts and stops etc etc. Any ideas??
