When I fitted my boost controller I took the pipe from my boost gauge just so I could fit it on the day and the gauge is now redundant. Got more pipe now so I can pipe the gauge back up, question is nice and simple can I tee into the original pipe or will it affect controller?

ok i know how the pipe work goes pipes from the intake intercooler pipe or balance tube then to MBC the to the actuator . so is the boost solenoid is redundent now ? do you need to block it off some how or can i just unplug the pipes and just leave it open. i take it with MBC you now loose saftey boost. can you keep solenoid in like when using boost jets ? can some one explain this to me please

Been pondering on this since I spoke to the legnum vr4 guys at japfest 2. A couple of the are running it on tuned legnums (300bhp, 2.5 twin turbo V6), had them a couple of years and do daily drive, trackdays, dragtrips the lot. 1 of them installs the kits and inspires a lot of confidence with his knowledge. He actually maps the car on log as you would with petrol, with an afr meter etc. Recon a 60 litre spare tyre tank would go in the wheel well. My Z is running 18 psi with full rebuild and gt28 turbos. Any thoughts? Heard the horror stories about valve seats and less lubrication etc. But everything I threw at the legnum guys they had a good answer. Backed up by years of …

Hello, can i get some opinions of the value for money of this car. It seems genuinely unmolested, colour is good. Cloth seats look a bit scruffy, would swap for full leather if purchased. Was in market for Manual but maybe this is a candidate for a conversion if it can be had cheap enough. So what price is fair? How much to factor in for manual conversion and cloth to leather swap? Anyone know a garage in Northern Ireland who has done the auto to manual conversion? http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/1990-nissan-300zx-for-sale-or-swap-for-jet-ski/1027529404

So this afternoon was spent sorting a 350z with a very noisy clutch operation, the owners brief was to repair the car as cheap as possible. The noisy when depressing the clutch pedal was really loud, but until the gearbox was removed we had no idea of what the clutch condition was so pre-warned the owner we could not be certain until removed and inspected. So there are a few different things when removing a 350x the box compared to a 300zx, such as the gear lever that does not disconnect so the gear knob has to be removed. With the standard one piece carbon fibre prop remove and the flexy Y section on the exhaust the gearbox rear assembly loo…

I've been giving the Z a good interior clean and polish today ready for Sundays show and I've decided my seatbelts are. well. a bit boring to be honest Any suggestions on something that looks much more interesting, preferably in Red or with a Red edging! Mine are the door mounting type and the two point rear seatbelts that just fit across your lap Rich

I've been getting a doddgy idle recently, so I plugged her in and it show my TPS at 0.8 volts. So I loosened it off and tried to adjust it but I can't get it to go below 0.78 until it hits its limit. What else could be affecting it? My timing was a bit up at about 25 once warm.

Hi all ive bought a zed from a very nice chap on here and its been great. Went to start it a minute ago and nothing. The immobiliser fob unlocked the car with the usual beep. Went to start it and nothing happened. I think its deadlocked. I have a autowatch fob with a button and another grey thingy that fits into a little housing in the drivers footwell so I presume thats a reset fob. But everytime I go to reset it the alarm half goes off then stops and then starts and stops etc etc. Any ideas??

What's involved in smoothing a plenum? Is it really simply a case of sanding it til the surface is flat...?

Hey everyone! I have had some pretty crappy news today, work is having to do a relocation due to issues with our office and it is going from a very short cycle ride away, to a 2 hour daily commute :( I have been trying to work out how to tackle it most ecomonically and just can't make the monthly finances work running the zed for it. I think it is going to have to be the purchase of a deisel run around at the expense of my baby Z... :( I have already invested a lot in her since picking it up last month and was expecting to be keeping it for good but this has really snuck up and thrown all my plans out the window. If I can work any other way out t…

I was going to put this in the other fuel tank post but thought it was best to start a new post so everyone would see: If you spend £50 at BP you get a token for Pizza Express 3 tokens (£150) = free dough balls and a pizza! Worth about £15. Ive had 2 already from filling lorries up, i did put £800 in afterall. They dont give you them for Keyfuels or other fuel cards though unless you ask nicely (for the other lorry drivers on here). Pretty good if you use your zed a lot. Or any other car for that matter.

After thinking I had a plug go down I changed all six tonight only to find my misfire is still there. I swapped two coil packs to rule that out and I checked there was actually a spark, and there is. What next? Compression test? Rather than a mechanical failure I'm hoping its a failed injector, is there anything else I can check? Would the ecu show any codes for a bad injector? Thanks

i was talking to a guy who had a 300zx thats modded a far bit he had removed the rad over flow bottle and just had the pipe running to the ground . the rad is ment to send the water from the rad to the bottle if it gets to hot and suck it back if needed but the rad cap is a one way valve when the water is hot it can push water into the bottle cus the water can push the valve upon and push water thro it but its one way so the water never get sucked back so he removed it to let the intercooler flow better does this sound rite ? as its not a header tank is it llike in a normal car

Hey everyone, Need some input with my issue. Here it comes.... My idling recently got lumpy. I suspected this to be a breathing issue and gave my twin HKS induction, new filters/elements. This didn't solve the lumpy idling, so I then suspected the problem being due to the MAF. I took the MAF off and gave it a clean and connected it all back up. This led to the air flow being all over the place. The gear changes weren't right and upon putting the foot down, the Z seemed to rev up high and engine got loud and power not up to standards. Just didn't boost correctly. I then got hold of a perfectly working MAF and an Apexi induction. This completely cured the id…
