Hey guys just trying to figure my spending for the car this next couple of months and im wondering how much a auto to man conversion would cost to start with. Also I went out and decided to warm her up and take her round the block yesterday and she seemed to just be stuck on 2k rpm and not want to go any higher almost like a limp home mode - did this for about 20 mins then went back to her normal 5 cylinder self. Ive not been using her at all as I want to prevent bore wash any idea as to why shes started doing this all of a sudden. Going to be chaning all the plugs next week and sorting all the coil packs out to see if I can give this one last go before I opt fo…

Got a question as I keep seeing/hearing different views on this. When filling the system, am I right to do so with the heaters set to 40? Also should the heater fans be blowing? Now on the main main question, the overflow tank. Should I be filling this at all. A lot of stuff I've seen says no, but yet the manual says to fill it to 'H'. What's right?

After my misfire last week I changed the spark plugs and replaced an injector that turned out to be duff. Now, I have a slight misfire that only happens on very light throttle. If I press the accelerator pedal to the floor the misfire clears up but then when I am back to light throttle like when cruising the mis comes back. I can get it to misfire in neutral too by bring the revs up slowly. What should I be checking now? Thanks, Dan

Found out i had a leak on my car last week, so this week jacked it up and fixed the leak. Was the power steering fluid leaking out of a pipe. Took it for a drive, stopped down the road and looked underneath and there was still a bit of oil dripping out. Took it back home, jacked it up and the leak is coming from where my finger is. Is there meant to be a bolt there? If not why is it leaking? Thanks

Thought id share my results from my recent Dyno Day where i had the car mapped for the second time The first video was made on my very first mapping session back in October and the car achieved 348.2 bhp from a measly 273.6bhp... i realised i had alot of engine issues at the time from oil leaks to boost leaks to coil pack connectors and injector plug connectors being well gone but the guys did the best they could do on the day and fixed what they could to achieve 348.2 bhp with 375.6 lb.ft of torque.... Bearing in mind im running 95 Ron fuel..... yes im a tight git and didint want it mapped on super.... they did try persuading me but i thought no.... Af…

Hey, Can anyone tell me, or even better, show me with a pic, where the clutch booster vacuum pipe connects to on the plenum? I'm using an NA engine in a turbo shell, and utilising the original clutch booster, but I don't know where it should connect to, as I didn't disconnect it having an NA clutch in my NA shell. I'd assume it would connect somewhere near where the brake servo connects...I'm also worried the turbo plenum is different and I don't have the required connection... Cheers!

Hi. I have twin exits. One pipe a side. I was trying to search for this really rare look. It comes from the USA. Google used to have a few pictures of it but can't find them. Basically each exit is turned opposite each other in the middle of the car looking from the rear. It's not a complete side by side and the back of the mufflers are in this sort of shape.... °•. .•° So a slight 'v' to each other. It's hard to explain but I want to get a picture to take to the guys that will be doing it. The penis that fit my current system needs shooting! (Not Terry. The original knob). Pictures would be great if anybody has any. Love t…

today my z has been transformed. mikey bean came round to help(mainly do,lol) get the car working properly. so stripped the plenum off and fitted my venom555's and devlin chip and rebuilt it up. completely re-plumbed the whole boost system and rewired some bad connectors. the end result is the car is now an absolute animal. hiting 1bar of boost at only 3000rpm and holding perfectly. been at it all day so thankyou mate, your a star. consult results looks much better now too.

Ok, since I've had my Z, I have not been able to get air to blow out of the vents at the top/back of the dash :( I've been putting off the repair because I cannot be arsed to bust my back trying to get up under the dash. However I'm getting a bit bored of guessing where the road is at night!! :kamikaze: When I press the demister button, the air comes out of the "face" vents. When I did my retrim, I found that the pipe that connects the air flow from centre console to door vent was basically just forced roughly into place. (I've yet to find something that someone hasn't f##ked about with yet) Anyway, is it possible that there is another connecting pipe off, or is it goin…

Guys I've been wondering about something as I sometimes do. I asked my mate who knows more about cars but he could not explain this either There are these vacuum lines coming from the balance bar to the clutch and brake pedal boosters and no doubt other places too. But where does the vacuum actually come from? From my understanding of physics (OK I only did A level) if I have two turbos forcing air into the plenum at 9PSI (or even 19PSI with my boost controller) or maybe even more, then surely the plenum is gonna be full of compressed air, not a lack of it (i.e. a vacuum)...... isn't it? Does that makes sense? Rich
