Hi all i guess most people on here want to try and save a bit of money when they can so im asking, what are you paying insuarnce wise for your 300zx,what company offers the best deals.Im currently with adrian flux and paying about 60 quid a month ooch.Mind you the guy said its because its my first year of owening a 300zx twin turbo and the power etc,and it should go down significantly in year 2. Sio any comments gratefully recieved or point me in direction of a good insurance thread

  4. I can't remember ever seeing this in the list of things to check for poor running or idle.. the IGN COIL replay in the engine bay main fuse/relay box. the pins can become rusted or loose, certainly worth a check (obviously it supplies power to the coils). I saw this on another forum just the other day, the guy posted it because it was the cause of his bad running / hesitation .... checked cleaned, reseated and problem gone.. :)

Has anyone here replaced a worn strut top? I have what I think is a worn near side one. The main shock nut appears not to be in dead-centre like it does on the offside, in addition I get a very faint squelching sound from that area at low speed over speed humps. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem before? I've had it on a car I owned years ago and the symptoms are similar.

tonight i started preparing my new bumper to replace the current one which needs the top of it repairing(not a major job). Mikey bean was gonna bin this so i saved it from its fate and got it all painted up tonight. still needs buffing smooth and im probably gonna lacquer it too to help protect from stone chips. hopefully get it fixed on my next day off.

Hi all, Im debating about what to do with my bumper. Do I keep the Abflug type 4R and have it repaired or go for a different style like the wings west bumper or terminator. Has anyone got any pics of the wings west or terminator fitted with a FMIC? Cheers Dan

Well today I went to fit the hard pipes for the oil cooler and realised the hoses that go from the oil tree and the return one to the sump have been cut...... Obviously the person who supplied the engine decided to cut the ends off the hoses rather than undo the clamps.... Has anyone got some tips for replacing them? I can't get to the oil tree one as the steering rack and engine mount are in the way..... Also, which pipe has the restrictor in it? Is it the 2 pipes from the engine to the hard lines or the 2 pipes from the hard lines to the oil cooler? Can I fit braided hoses instead and lose the standard lines with the restrictor or do I need to use the old…

Hi everyone. I have what I believe is a split Turbo Oil Hose on the Drivers side. It's the one next to the water pipe. I have uploaded some pictures in the hope that someone can confirm what this hose actually is tho i.e.Turbo Oil Feed Hose, Oil Return feed hose... When the engine is switch off after a drive you can see little puffs of oily smoke coming from the bottom of this hose onto the hot turbo. Also if someone would be kind enough to tell me if I can get a replacement in Silicone, braded or even original that would be great! Don't know if Mike at MJP would do these... Thanks in advance people...

Hi all So I've got my dream 300XZ but the list of problems is quite long The main fault I'm trying to diagnose and fix is missfire on cylindersl 1 and 2, two front cylinders as you look in engine bay.Fault is permanent cylinders don't fire at all. I've spent few hours today and got to dead end, basically I've swapped ignition coils from other working cylinders and spark plugs - still no good, checked voltages on 2 faulty coils and there is +12v,earth,and continuous +12v on trigger pin of both ignition coils.Compared with other working coils and 12v on trigger pin should colapse for spark to take place. OK checked continuity between coils and PTU all ok,checked tr…

Just noticed a listing on Ebay for a UK spec Cruise Control Module - £20 plus delivery. They claim that fitting this UK module to a JDM car will allow cruise control to be set at speeds above 69mph. Does anyone know:- 1. Will this allow higher CC speed settings? 2. Where is the CC Module located? 3. Any gotchas? Many thanks

Let's keep this one simple... Got the plenum off, was gonna do an egr delete, got the delete kit. Now the issue.... It's an absolute sod and I can't even see the pipe that comes from the manifold (It's a tt) Can I remove the vac line and take a hacksaw to the pipes coming round to the plenum and be done? Am I right in thinking the valve is normally closed? I know purists amongst you will have you opinions but I'm mainly just after a yes or no with this one. I'm only thinking of this lazy way out because I've already bought the delete kit and one of the gaskets for the pipe into the plenum is a bit mashed. Dunno if I wanna risk putting it all back together onl…

As some of you may remember, I'm having some exhaust trouble so was shopping for one, I'm basically still struggling to find one I like, but I was hoping to get some combined postage savings from the states when I get the stillen lip. so the favourite's so far are the B&B or the Labree, however the B&B is only in a quad exit, and the only labree one I've seen that I like is also in a quad, and although my mind has changed and I am now becoming a fan of the quad exit, I'm concerned if it will fit through my bumper, and not look sh*t to give you all an idea this is what my current one looks like And the only other picture's I can find are these t…

I wanted to go down the hardpipe route but can't find one that I like (would love a CF look kit or a gloss black finish). Anyways, my hoses need replacing and I hear SFS are good but not sure of the sizing I need. Does anyone know off the top of their head what size hoses and clips I'd need for the x4 intake pipes? Thanks
