After driving cross country on Saturday night using "the force" Obe Wan Kenobe was busy and hence we drove up the grass verge several times when oncoming traffic went by. I have given in and fitted 100W bulbs I read that the wiring melts etc but It's either that or crash so I'm chancing the bulbs and will let you know.

Hi everyone,I have got a jap import twin turbo and the speedo is still in kph (just the face has been changed), I am considering getting a jwt ecu upgrade from the states and I understand they are in mph, does this mean that my speedo will now work in mph or would I still need a convertor. Cheers for the help in advance and have a merry christmas & new year.

Finally got everything through. Details are was follows : Included in package will be ferry crossings, general admission to the circuit, access to the Motor Racing International hospitality marquee which includes interviews with various drivers throughout the race as they debrief their drives (really interesting). Also decent showers & toilets (which, for those who've been, is a major plus). One other major bonus is that if there are any other major British sporting events, they tend to show them in the tent (last year included England / Germany football). There is an excursion to the Arnage corner which costs £12 and must be booked in advance. This is away …

Hi, insane road users, I've met by chance, sheer fluke another Z & driver in a garage the other day. Had a chat looked at cars etc etc, bored the girlfriend for 1/2 an hour (so)! on comparison It seems I have some throttle lag. When driving with spirit in mind! up or down the manual gears, I have about a 1-1.5 second delay after big right foot hits carpet before the real grunt appears :-) is this ok or am I on the look out for something going wrong. cheers.

Hi guys, As you probably have guessed I am a newcomer to this forum. I own a TT 2 Door import, colour Metallic Black and I live in Bristol. I am looking for a decent garage in the South somewhere, I know about Silvia but it is quite a way to travel. I have found a garage based in Aldershot called 'Tuning Japanese'. I was wondering if anyone has heard anything good / bad about these people. Up until now I have had good results from Wessex Nissan in Bristol but my car is getting more modified and I need to find a garage who knows what they are doing. Also, I have HKS Vein Pressure Converter on my 300, anyone know where I can find out how to use it ? …

Even I am now in Tokyo, Japan, I still read this board from time to time and I thought I would just warn you guys against this company. www.autoshippers.co.uk. They are a car import/export company, which sends cars back and forth between UK and Japan (among others). So one of you guys, might be in a situation, where you need service like this. Trust me, 1st Move, as they are called, is NOT the company, you want to use. They (obviously) damaged my precious Z couple of places, buy heyyyy thats why I took out recommended insurance. It took 1 month, 5 phone calls, 3 fax's and 4 emails, before I was even given the local (Yokohama) insurance contact. Just, i…

Here's a handy tip for those grubby alloys... Try hot water(hotter the better) with a squirt of washing-up liquid (even cheap brands) will shift those stubborn marks. I've been doing in for years and it works better than many wheel cleaner sprays...BUT you must rinse it all off soon after with lots of plain water as the washing-up liquid can eat into the laquer or alloy coating.

Hi Wanna treat my Z to an oil & filter change over xmas......do you guys recommend those engine flush liquids in the shops ? Or should I just put the new oil straight in ? Cheers

Now I'm really pissed off!!! I've had my 300TT auto. for about six weeks now. Some of you may have seen my earlier post on rough idleing probs. and auto. stalling etc. etc. Well, I've been to my local Nissan dealer who charged me 60 squid for a consult output whereas I've noticed some of you mention a price of around 20 to 30 squid...hmmm! They wanted me to spend 1000+ squid on my car and couldn't guarantee that this would sort the problem. SEE YA! Dealer Number 2 - Without naming them, which I should do anyway, they have somewhat of a reputation in the Nissan community! Told them I wanted my car sorting, not bothered about money, provided that it would give a positi…

I spoke to today with Henri, and he expressed an interest in going karting while over in London, and maybe meeting up with some of us at the same time. So, i rang four kart tracks in London to find an open event on Monday or Tuesday evening next week. Unfortunately, they are group bookings only in the evenings. Open sessions during the day. Obviously daytime is out of the question for most people. So, next question, how many people would be able to ready/willing/able to attend an event at such short notice ? Personally, as much as i would like to go, i think it might be too little time to get it organised. But it's worth a try.... Bookings are 20-2…

One for more experienced Z ers. Appreciate the benefit of experience. Had my Z for nearly 3 weeks now and just terrified myself driving 250 miles up the M6 from Manchester to Scotland in torrential rain tonight with those wonderful headlights. With 18" wheels 245's front and 265's rear the Z turns into a jet ski when it hits standing water at anything over 65/70 - even with good tread. Boy but was my nipper-offer working overtime. I felt like I was steering it with my buttocks sometimes. Is this normal? Also I thought that the auto box was 4 speed with 4th gear the overdrive. When doing 70ish and cruising up an incline on light throttle the transmission se…

I had the shock of my life today when I put my foot down on the M1 and I didn't seem to get nowhere. I noticed that my turbo gauge was only moving from -14 to 0. Please, please, does anyone know what could have happened. Is it something that I need to get it into a garage for?? Cheers Vijay

I tried getting some vinal that matches the interior and filling the gaps with it, looks really crap. I could try a nissan blanking plate, but I bet that'll look naff too if I cut it.

I'm just wondering if anyone's upgraded the flywheel, but not at the same time as other mods, so they can comment on the difference.

I'm still after some myself, but I gave up looking a few months back... I must be too fussy. 8)

In the endeavor to find my misfire fault I cleaned the butterfly valves on the air intakes as descibed on TT.net. It was really easy and didn't take long using a fine scouring pad and some carb cleaner. What a difference my idle speed increased from 750 to 1800 as the valves were now able to close fully without any carbon stopping them. I turned the idle screw down and it runs much better although the misfire is still there.

Tooley. I found the site last night mate. We both get a mention. They described my motor as the Beast. What Next? You need to come and check out Porn Stars 300 We finished the interior last night. Mark , Dammo and Phil caught the action. Dammo and my good self managed to get a tug from St Helens Dibble. "You have to expect to be stopped driving around in one of these. By the way what is it?" FOOLS.

Well I took the Z down to Chamonix in the French Alps for the weekend and it's longest run yet. I loaded the boot with tools (safety precaution)and headed off, it was great down the Peage at 100 and with a few blasts upto 140-150 it ran great. Fortunately Chamonix was low enough not to have snow and very little ice however on the sunday I decided to head over the Alps to Switzerland. Once up a few hundered meters their was snow on the ground and the Z felt very twitchy, going down a slight gradient I put the car in 1st (mines an Auto) and drove very slowly with the tail gently sliding from left to right, it felt like the hicas was going mad but was probably just the r…

Hello, Just put a mobile phone kit in the car and I'm not putting the phone holder in the usual places, as it's in the way of passenger and I like to have as little on show as possible. As anyone installed it anywhere out of the norm? Currently I'm considering putting it in the central storage box, obviously I would not be able to see the screen very easily. But with auto answer and one key dialing I don't think it's going to bother me to much... Cheers, Jez. ps. I assume one has had interferance problems with other systems in the car? I've tried to be careful routing the aerial, but the traction control and ABS take a similar route.... 8) ... jus…

well now i am the proud owner of a 91 tt 2+2 which i picked up on saturday and overall i am over the moon with but the problems have started allready? it has got 12 months warrenty but i live in the middle of nowhere and a fair distance from the garage i bought it from so with some help you lot might be able to point me in the wright direction...first problem is when hot the car has failed to start twice...it fires up eventually....the second prob is when on idle if you just touch the throttle and i mean just touch...the rpm falls ever so slightly "200 rpm" and there is a click around the engine when you do this..and finally when you give it some stick in third it gets …
