Hi All, Does everyone with a TT notice quite a bit of white exhaust smoke on startup during these colder mornings ? Is this normal ? Seems to die down after 15 minutes or so. Good news...my insurance quote came thru today....£521 Fully Comp with the AA !! Not bad eh ? I'm 39 full NCB based in Newport Pagnell near Milton Keynes.

...as I haven't a workshop manual. On my previous car I used to drain the radiator off and replace with almost neat antifeeze. Can I do this on my Z32?(I checked the level of antifreeze, and it seems very low) Can I get to the drain plug for the radiator very easily,or is it a job for the local garage? Hey gang, i should have had this done already, as i was hoping to get together this coming sunday 26th Nov, however i am having trouble finding a venue. Having swapped emails with a few of you, and got some broad requirements, it seems some of us will be accompanied by partners and/or children. From experience, i know that some of them don't share the same enthusiasm we do.... ;) Is the date okay with most of you ? Although it is short notice... I think the majority of the owners are south/south west london, with a few kent, essex and bucks. So realistically, anywhere around the M25 is okay, south would probably be easier for the majority. Ha…

My windscreen is misting up. Whatever i do with the heater/air con its still there. It was pretty serious this morning. Even opening the windows didn't clear it. I think there must be a vapour leak under the front driver side demister. Is this likely and whats the fix?

Hi all. I have a dilemma and I would really appreciate some help: I currently own a 290bhp Calibra Turbo 4x4. I have spent £6000 on mods and while it can out-handle just about anything (including a 300ZX ;o), I find that it just doesn't have enough power. I could continue tuning it, but money can't buy me an extra 1000cc, an extra turbo and an extra 2 cylinders unless I replace the engine and start tuning from scratch. So, the question is, do you think I should buy a 300ZX (which I have always really liked) or stick with the Calibra. I realise that some of you may be biased ;o) but I'd really appreciate your opinions as I have never driven a 300ZX and don't know the…

Have any of you guys got a catalyst-free exhaust fitted? I'm looking at one from SE. My scorpion cat-back is already loudish and I'm reluctant to go louder so is there any difference in noise level? What difference does it have on performance? Mine's a 1990 so I can run it decatted and still be legal, even thru an MOT. True or false?

I was interested in what Tooley had to say on type of oil - synthetic versus non-synthetic. My na registers a vast range of oil pressure between hot and cold and I run it on synthetic and was wondering if the oil was too thin. Any comments or recommendations?

was absolutely no problem today. Sailed through without even any advises or warnings. Although new tyres, springs, shocks, brakes might have helped a little.... ;) and for those of us who have turbo idle oil seal leaks.... i smoked those suckers out.. lol i did warn them not to let it idle for no reason......

I thought I might be able to save some cash by ordering them on-line but I can't find anywhere on the web. Any advice? Cheers Jimus

Hi All, Hope you can help me. I bought a 1991, UK 300 TT Auto. 72,000 miles, FSH etc. Drives fine, gear changes are smooth whilst driving but at idle the engine revs drop down to about 500rpm. Sometimes the revs recover but most of the time the engine stalls. In the morning the car starts fine, and gear changes seem to be fine, but if I switch off after a run, and then come back after a short period of time the same thing. Engine struggles to maintain idle on gear change. Car went into Nissan dealer over the weekend, they plugged Consult in which reported NO FAULTS with anything...HICAS, AIR-CON, A/T, Engine etc...They adjusted the idle which was set at around 1175rpm in …

I've just put a deposit down on an imported '90 300TT auto - now nervously awaiting the RAC report! Everything appeared ok. No smoke of any description came from the exhaust, (engine hot or cold) the gearbox felt seamless and although the steering felt ok to me apparently the garage is going to change a couple of bushes anyway! The only thing that I picked up on was the exhaust note; how intrusive should stock pipes be? I mean it sounded great but I thought maybe it might be blowing somewhere – I guess the RAC will find out. I managed to get the garage to include a Clifford alarm/immobiliser in the price and a cam belt change so I was reasonably pleased with th…

I was speaking with Eric, who mentioned about playing with an AFC to get my air fuel ratio better on normal unleaded. I get the occasional pink (detination) on normal, none on super. I wanted to stay with unleaded, what with having a daily driver doing quite a few miles of motorway driving. Super seamed to cost too much. I have thought of the AFC but realising that the AFC is probably going to cost £400 and each fill up on Super is £4 more I should stick to super... looking at it that's 100 fill ups, probably 3+ years worth.... darn why didn't I think of that earlier. Thanks... you have made me answer my own questions!

Greetings fellow 300 drivers. I've done a pretty stupid thing, I know found out. I recently moved to Tokyo, Japan to work and had my car shipped over here. So far so good, but despite it being a UK grey imported 300, I am having huge problems re-registering the car in Japan. I'm trying to locate the dealer, where I orginally bought the car, but they seem to have vanished from the face of the earth. They are (were)in Greenford, London, just at the left side of Greenford Road, when you come through the round about arriving from A40. Would anybody have any clue, who I am talking about? All help deeply appreciated. Best regards and happy driving. Jan Kieler

After alot of thought i have decided to sell the beloved Z, Unfortunatly due to my work load i just don`t get the time to drive it. I have decided that i will get more money back by stripping the mods and selling them seperate. Craig has raped most of the bits but i still have the JWT ECU left. It is for an Auto and will prepare you for the extra boost you know you want!! To buy a new one and get it shipped over and all the messing around will cost you about 450:00, i`m looking for offers in the region of 325:00 exchange. Let me know if you are interested. Bob
