Well, we might be getting somewhere. After a LOT of farting about NU will not agree to a new AB-Flug front fasia. Reason: £1556 + carriage + VAT/Duty and so on (ouch). An 8 week delivery time doesn't help although Jonathan at GH could get one a lot sooner (Fly the bloody thing over you see). NU Reply: Bugger off. So..... NU are sending it to a fibreglass specialist who is going to rebuild it. At least I should get it back sooner I guess. I can't stand this 'courtesy' car any longer! Andy

Hi guys, Well, for the lads interested in the GRacer front I havent been able to track down my mate who fitted it! It seems he shut up shop about 4 months ago, its a shame coz he had some good stuff for the Z32. sorry :( My Z cut out on me sunday night after driving for about 5 hours from southend and around london. Z had been sitting on idle for about 5 minutes (got lost, couldnt find the strippers ;) LOL), then when pulling away the revs died and the engine went dead! I didnt think it was the Power Transistor because it wouldnt rev smoothly or above 1500rpm once it did restart. Could it have been some sort of fuel cut off due to engine heat? It d…

I remember a few people talking about these headlight conversion kits a while ago. There are some for sale on twinturbo.net for $520+shipping. It's on a first come first serve basis. My Z isn't allowed out after 6pm so I'm not interested myself. Steve

Sorry if there is a duplicate posting. On the back of the top of the head, in the centre are two plugs, one is connected one is not. There is one socket, both plugs fit it? I am puzzled. The plugs are two pin, one plug leads to the loom of th engine harness, one to a sensor of valve on the rigt hand side of the ballance pipe. Any Ideas? Paul

I want BHP and Tourque print outs and to maybe adjust the timing. Most of them are probably upto 250bhp at the rear wheels which is not enough.

I got in touch with someone recently who used to work as a 300 specialist in Tokyo. I'm getting a workshop manual from him, and as part of a clearout he says he has about 100 boxed Nissan plugs to find homes for. £20 for a set, contact Paul Farnworth (cdma@tesco.net) for details if the price is right. has anyone seen that max power video of those guys that go to the airfield and do the top end runs. i found it quit funny. the only guy to run the times he said he would was the sierra cossie, everyone else was way over what they said. its funny how you think your car is so fast and then you go to do times and they are nowhere near what you expect.

Here's a post from some in the U.S about his drag strip event in his 96TT with stock ecu. Even Malcolme Lowes' nitrous powered Z has only ever managed a best of 12.8 on the 1/4 mile at Santa Pod, and that's the quickest any UK Z has ever run! READ ON >> It started off as a typical day at the drags for me. two back to back 13.2's with 2.2 60 foot times. But this time my mph was up to 109. So that was a good point. Then a horrific 13.9 @ 105mph. All sorts of shit went wrong there. Now, eliminations. Dialed in at a 13.0. Ran a 13.1 @ 108mph with a 2.1 60 ft, with a slight let off at the end to not break out. Fine, I can live with that. Then…

does anyone know of any good 300 mechanics in the North West London area? I'm kinda getting fed up with changing Nissan garages. I had one that the guy in charge was the one who worked on the car, but he left and basically I did not have any confidence in the garage after that. Cheers!

My speedo's a duffa, I fink Its broke. disconnected speedo wire when changing gearbox oil, drove down road afterwards but forgot to reconnect cable. Got back, re-connected cable and now speedo over reads by about 40%. Help!! Does anybody have any suggestions? Please tell me that the speedo drive isn't affected by the type of gearbox oil or something mad like that! Cheers, Paul (Still love my ZX) I feel a strong and long term relationship building between me and my newly aquired Z. Think I'll marry it soon, (wife won't be too impressed)!
