My clutch on my Z seems to have a different feel under different driving conditions, for example when pottering about low down in the rev range it can feel quite heavy but if you put your foot down a bit it can feel quite light. Is this a sign of a bigger problem or is it nothing to worry about. Any advice would be appreciated

I am thinking of buying a 300zx and was looking for some advice - What are the common problems that I should look for ? What are the differences between UK and Jap models ? Is there any reason not to buy a Jap model ? Cheers, email replies to JDixon@lonza.co.uk

Hi, I've made a start on translating the less-obvious bits of the Japanese owners manual I got with my 300, but obviously its pretty slow going. Anyone know if this task has already been done, and/or whether there's an easy source of brit owners manuals, translated or native? Thanks, Raz

Run What Ya Brung is on at Santa Pod on Sunday the 29th. Weather permitting I expect to be there. Anyone else up for it ? Especially those who haven't yet done the quarter mile - it's great fun and helps with the incentive to spend more money on mods !!! Dave

Hey guys, Quick question for anyone that has removed the AC compressor, reading from the TT.net tech Damon uses a 'Crows Foot' Wrench to remove the bolt at the back. As far as i can speculate this must be a some sort of wrench / Spanner with a offset head of some kind however im not sure without acutally looking at the job at hand. Which is the problem as i wanna get the whole job out of the way next weekend. not leaving me a lot of time to go shopping for missing tools Etc. Any help Pics Appreciated Cheers Z ya Nico91TT

Just found this forum and its excellent and I hope you can help. Got in the Z on Saturday and the clutch went straight to the floor with no resistance at all. Thanks to Bob's manual I was able to bleed the system but still no joy, I now think the operating cylinder (the one attached to the gearbox) is shagged as fluid appears to be leaking around the dust shield. My question is, does anyone know a good garage in the South London area that could confirm/laugh off my amateur diagnosis and do the repair ? Thanks John

Can anyone recommend a good company around M25/Dartford to do a full service to my Jap 300ZX. I am not sure whether it is worth using an official Nissan dealer who have said they will service the car for the same cost as the UK version or go to a 3rd party agent who will be cheaper, but not necessarily as good.

Well hopefully I should be getting my TT in the next couple of days, a 91 H auto with 62K in metallic black and totally standard. The question is once I have got the prop vibration cured where do I start modifying. I thought of starting with the exhaust and then.... any thoughts?

I'm looking for some standard diameter but 1/4" longer wheel studs for my front wheels. I've had to fit some hubcentric spacers for caliper clearance and I wouldn't want my front wheels to wonder off while I'm driving. Steve

On my Jap import TT2+2 Auto I have a rocker switch with a "Power" and a "Hold option. The Power position lights a power light on the dash. However, I notice if I accelerate quickly, even without the rocker in the power position, the power light comes and stays on for some time. What's this all about? Mozart

Guys, Seriously need some help here. Here is the Jimmy: I managed to scavenge enuff money to get my tranny rebuild next week. From there im taking the Car to my Folkes Gaff in South Yorkshire to do the Engine Pull and Turbo Rebuild in there oh so spacious 2 car garage. Now everyone knows that one of the biggest Bitches in the engine pull is removing the Tranny! so basically im paying for the Tranny to be dropped and reinstalled then i will have to do the job agian myself. What i ideally could do with is the Car transporting with Gearbox removed upto South Yorkshire and then dropping off so i can do the rest of the engine pull when i get there. F…

What would you recommend to the current situation, especially with all the new digital cameras popping up.... I last got done by a Video car, for which there is no way out. But everything else must have some sort of defence. I was thinking of the Bell 990 because I'm sick of my old Snooper radar (not laser) picking up service stations, garages, doors, traffic lights. Does this do anything for the digital cameras? Maybe the 990 isn't the best option. I know you can download a radar database into a GPS system, maybe a bit excessive, but no defence against the handheld unit that first caught me! I'm concerned beacuse the new digital cameras are appare…

I am looking to purchase a 1990 300ZX TT Auto and have found a 2 owner car in immaculate condition with 65k miles however there is a strange vibration from the centre of the car that vibrates through the drivers seat when driving normally. Could the Auto box be on the way out or driveshaft perhaps, has anyone experienced anything like this? Hope you can help, thanks.

i've had very occasional loss of PAS since i've had my car, but normally only after sitting in slow moving traffic on a hot day, and finally getting clear. But now, it seems like i have lost all PAS. No loss of fluid, no warning lights, no broken belt, no nothing. Any ideas anyone ? I guess it's got to be one of:- 1) a pump that's not doing anything (but wouldn't it be making a horrible broken noise ?) 2) something with the rack ? although it works fine, just heavy ;) no noises 3) some sensor somewhere ? speed sensor or something ? although nothing else seems affected help from the collective please.... I have a 4 hour round trip acr…
