Hi I've just inherited a tidy sum from a deceased relative, now I can afford the respray I've wanted for so long. Does anyone know of a good bodyshop in the Derbyshire area, I've email Luke at the Zcentre but I've not had a reply yet (does he do full resprays?). cheers John

Sorry guys I having a gripe. Bl**dy Nissan Main Dealer Bl**dy Warranty Company My Z needed new Diff Oil Seal & Camshaft Oil after diagnosed at 'C' service last month. The garage phoned the warranty company who said at the time it was covered. get aphone call this morning (as its gone in for the work) to be told its now not covered ARRGGHH! So I moan on about not documenting contact with the warranty company, not taking names or getting an approval number before booking in for work, added a touch of 'as agesture of goodwill you should contribute to the labour if you want my continued business etc...' and now half got the hourly labour rate ha…

Going to order my ASP under drive pulley kit from GR, Phuong is asking me how many ribs there are on the power steering belt? Should be 4 but he wants to be sure, so what I need is someone to confirm this for me. Anyone with a Twin Turbo Auto. if you could just have a quick look for me. I would look at mine but I'm not going all the way down to SE to check...LOL! Cheers Tim ;-)

Is there any reason why my cooling fan should stay on, even from cold. Coolant OK. Not overheating. Doesn't happen if ignition key turned on, only when engine is turning. Has the fan clutch got stuck? Any suggestions?

Hi Chaps, Hope everone's well, here's a question for you. Every time I drive up a hill the steering goes heavy. It only happens on hills. Has anyone else experienced this and if so to you know what the problem is. The power steering fluid is full and the steering has been checked out by Darren and all read outs show OK on the CONSUL test. Like I said the steering behaves itself under most conditions but doesn't like steep hills. This is not weather related as it does it rain or shine just hill related. I think...?? Appreciate any info. Thanks in advance.

You all know my thoughts about the lovely Supra MK IV...blah, blah, blah! But I've just read this on TT.net, and I am impressed...not too mention the fact that Toyota have been cheating and frigging the figures for the media! Shock, horror, I'm disgusted! Comments? ----------------------------------------- I am tired of hearing AND seeing Supras getting all the publicity and hype. HYPE thats exactly it is, Dont for one minute believe that our Z's are inferior in anyway to the Toyota Supra MK IV(im not going to trash talk about the appearance or anything i am just stating thr facts!!) I dont need to give anyone the history about these two rivals.. …

Hi, Has anyone here drive a Z with a auto gear box that has also got a manual switch on it so that the driver can change gears at his/her discreation? I am interested in getting one fitted on my car when I upgrade the auto box to be able to handle some performance upgrades? Does anyone know where I can get this done from and what I should watch out for? Cheers Pali

Are the later autoboxes the same as the early ones apart from the improved oil cooling? Has anyone experienced any problems with later autoboxes or SE-Nissan modified earlier ones. The reason I'm asking this is that it will cost me approx 250 small, squidgey sea creatures for a big oil cooler, plus 250 more for a full 60K service, plus extra to get my prop sorted, plus possible extra if my cylinder heads develop the problem that very early Zeds have and if the gearbox is still not totally dependable then I would prefer to just sell the car now and put the extra money towards a newer/different model. I'd just like to be able to drive to Switzerland next month withou…

GuyZ, This is really baking my noodle, that gorgeous pearl white 300ZX at SE with the Stillen kit on...the rear spoiler...is that a Stillen invention? I've been on Phuong's website as I can't get onto the Stillen site, firewall seems to think that the word "Stillen" is related to ENTERTAINMENT in some way...WTF? On Phuong's site the rear Stillen spoilers that he's got don't really resemble that beasts' fantastic show of "I'm a f**kin' 'ard bastard...don't mess with me!!!" or else spoiler! HELP! Tim ;-)

Roll up, roll up, this is a nutter bargain. Contact the above. harve.

Further to an earlier post re my aircon not working. Is the assembly on the end of the compressor next to the pulley called the clutch? If so should it turn when the aircon is switched on? Obviously the belt is driving the pulley but the end assembly is not turning. Help! Glenn

Has anyone ever been and is anyone going this year? Website is http://www.jae.org.uk and I think it's on 28th and 29th July. Looks good, but I only spotted old Z's in the photo album from last year. It's being held at Billing Aquadrome. Just wondered if it's worth a meet or a show of cars etc. Tim ;-)

I could not stand any more!!. The grey tweed carpet material trim in my Zed HAD TO GO!. So I spent my bank holiday removing the offending material and replacing it with matching colour charcoal vinyl. I had no experience in doing this sort of thing before and hoped it would not turn out crap!. However it can be done ( even by me ) and it turned out very well. I did not want to go for a change in colour such as red and kept it in charcoal to match the leather. This has made the interior look much more refined. The total cost was £70.00 for the material and contact adhesive ( and my time, a day and half!). I would advise anyone who has an early Zed with this tweed car…

posted 29-05-2001 07:53 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, If anyone is looking for a non-turbo car, I will be selling mine shortly. My car will be on the "Z club" stand at the classic car show at Tatton Park, this Sunday.(June 3rd) It is an NA 2+2 imported last year.It has the rare 5 speed manual gearbox and electric leather seats. The mileage is approx 54,000, converted to mph by the previous owner. The only modification is a full stainless steel, catless exhaust system, with large bore tailpipes,(cost £1000!) fitted by Luke Borg at the end of last year. (see pictures on my profile) I don't…
