One for the Techno heads this... Was looking up a part number for Russ on TT.net and decided to have a look at the PTU or Transistor Ignition Unit as they prefer to call it. What was going on, bad design from the start or something? No wonder they were recalling, but we didn't get the recall here(as usual!), why not? Check this out:- 0789-0993 Hitachi 0789-0993 Mitsubishi 0993-0795 Hitachi 0993-0795 Mitsubishi 0795- Mitsubishi And to top it off, all different part numbers aswell. So, if your PTU goes down and you need a new one, do you opt for Mitsu. or Hit.??? I had mine replaced recently, and I remember looking at it and seeing Mit…

I've been told that I need a new themostat on my 300zx twin turbo. It's a 1991 two seater import - does anyone know whether I need a part from Japan or a part number that I can ask for? Thanks Russ

GuyZ, Just after some opinion here, has anyone used them for upgrades etc.??? Good or bad experience(s)??? Web site is good and lists some serious BHP mods along with prices. Tim ;-)

HI guys, Where's the best best place to put the Z up for sale apart from the trader and here. I need to part with mine fairly soon so I need a buyer quickly. Any advice would be much appreciated. Chris

Any of you guys got experience with the Scarab Exhausts advertised on Luke's website? I like the look of two rear pipes as oposed to four. How many extra hundreds BHP gain i there? I would guess most cat back systems are similar in terms of gains. Glenn

So come on then, what`s the difference between a "Junior member" and a fully fledged "Member" on this forum ? it certainly carn`t be age, must be looks? you`ve obviously seen me zipping around in my Zed! I might be unfortunately selling my Z due to house buy. Its in the Rides section under my name. I have added a couple of other bits to it since (Clear side repeaters, HKS blow-off valves, Strosek rear lights and front vents). No sooner do i get over one nigly problem another starts. Racing a Scooby the other day dropped down a gear and floored it, engine started misfiring, limped home everything checked okay, removed each connector of coil pack one by one, engine tone dropped on only 4 of them, removed coil packs/plugs and swapped them round, still the same 2 cylinders appear to be down, next step i suppose is to test possible faulty 2 injectors, but has this happened to anyone else ??, what particular test confirmed it and please don't tell me you HAVE to remove plenum chamber to do this !! if so i may as well upgrade all 6 with Geddy's ready for future mods, cheers, Smithy. Hi Guys, The time has come where I may be parting with my beloved Z. Unfortunately a house has to be put in place of it!! Having looked through the trader and various other places, it seems like Import TT's go for about the same price as a UK spec ones. Is this true???? I've also seen some standard TT's go for about 8k. Is this a rough price of a minter or is the guy having a laugh??

my traction control arrived this morning... dont think i'll get it installed in time for le mans, but when i get back i'll be pulling the interior out... cheers to Johnny for arranging it. the url stickers also arrived on friday, so i need to try and arrange something with you all..... an easy way would be to arrange a meet sometime soon, but that might be a while any suggestions ? you could try sending me a SAE to send them back in, although the larger will need two envelopes stuck together lengthways if you dont want it folded.... i am just setting up a paypal account which might come in handy as well ------------------ UK 92…

This may sound stupid but why buy big intercoolers when we all have the aircon refrigerator sat doing nothing most of the time! Surely there's a way of rigging it up to cool the intake air?!?!

Just nipped out to fill up for tomorrow morning and ended up using quarter of it! My car is absolutely flying - must be the combination of a hot engine and the air being very cold tonight. Can't believe what a difference there is between this afternoon and the evening. I'll have to start getting out of bed in the middle of the night to go for a thrash in future...
