Hi, I am new to this forum and am from New Zealand, I have just bought my first ever ZX, a 91, NA, 2+2 and in the 4 mths I have owned have had to have the Auto rebuilt already, but I have a few questions for you guys since you all seem to have a lot of experience with Z's...here we go... 1) My car seems to hesitate after I accelerate from red lights etc, at about 2000rpm it kinda bottoms out for a few seconds then comes right, I took it into the Local Nissan Service guy who plugged it into the Computer and said all was fine, but I gotta take it in again in a few days cause its driving me nuts! any ideas? 2) when I turn on my A/C deep down inside it sounds like Darth V…

For those of you who remember I took off my Illumina Shocks off about a month or 2 ago in favour of the stock shocks which offer a more softer ride. The Illumina shocks (rear & front) come with RS Lowered Springs and are in good condition, also checked on Tokico website and they also have a lifetime warranty on them. I was going to keep them but decided to swap them for stock wheels with good rubber. If your interested let me know. PS - I'm based in NW London, so keep this in mind!

Guys, I was driving along at 40 mph when I heard this god awful screeching noise cominf from the front of the engine....it then died to nothing....but when I pulled up outside my house (about 200 yards after the noise) I could hear a faint grinding noise and when I lifted the bonnet I was greeted by lots and lots of smoke.....I checked the source and it came from.....(imagine you are looking into the engine from front above Fan) The wheel under and to the left of the fan was smoking, wasn't the belt...it was coming from the back of the wheel the belt was attached to, I don't know what that is or what it does and I hope to god that it's not MAJOR surgery for my Z... …

Got my T.C delivered today. In the supplement for the Z it says all wiring instructions are for UK spec Z, check if different. Is the loom/ECU/ABS wiring the same on my '91 import? I'm going to try fitting it next week sometime. Can I call one of you guys who have installed it before if I get stuck? Ta in advance!

Is there an actual system of mod's for the Z! A lot of talk is about the more exiting goodies, but is there a path of don't fit one of those, untill you've got one of these, or you'll bugger the other bit! I've read posts from flywheels to chips to fartometers! (I have one, its her side of the duvet!) For a stock Z either uk/import, and the cars running ok - what do you look to buy first and what hp gains are to be had by adding each component. I have had one break-in and someone was snooping round my car again last night at 3:30am. I'm getting VERY worried now. I have an AutoWatch CAT1 alarm (not sure of the model without digging the paperwork out) What are my options for scaring/catching them BEFORE they do the damage? It's already cost me nearly £200.00 for a new lock/handle assembly and fitting. I have seen those cheezy alarms that sound like Robocop and tell you to step away from the car. Is there anything similar that will interface to my existing alarm? This is a nightmare - I need insurance - just got back from Honeymoon to find Admiral have cancelled my policy - gits, and now I'm having a real struggle to get my import insured.....No-one wants to touch it or want about £2500 which is stupid. I'm still having fun in my TT90 manual (only had a week) but I have a question. When the boost drops off I get a noticable vibration/buzz from the back. I was told that it was a suck back in the exhaust(Scorpion) from the turbo when it stops spinning. Is this correct?
