That post about 'some guy came up to me and said' got me thinking about the time I gave a German chap a lift down the A12 from one meeting to another. He turned up to the first meeting in a newish Jag XJ6. When he got into my red jap import, he looked admiringly around - especially at the glass roof (light and airy) and asked what it was that he was sitting in. I, as usual told him an old Datsun. He then asked what I'd paid for it and I told him. The rest of the journey - and all through the subsequent meeting, I could see him having a problem with the £54,000 extra he'd spent on his Jag. I dropped him of at his car later, let him go first them took more delight by pass…

Well, those bastards have done it again. Got this from a good friend of mine today... For those of you who travel up the M6 regularly please note the following: Just to let you all know, M6 Jnc18 Roadwork's. SPECS has been installed and will be live in about a weeks time There are 4 dummy cameras and 2 working pairs so beware. SPECS is the system that monitors the time it takes your car to travel between two fixed points. It's fully digital and can process thousands of tickets an hour. There's no point in slowing down when you see the second camera as you'll already have been nicked! You need to all watch these; not that I think any of you s…

Just letting you guys out there that my aircon is sorted THANKS for your advice. All it needed was a belt ,I found a Nissan specialist in Swansea ,So much for the Nissan main dealer that told me i need a new Compressor (Beware guys they are there to get your money). A mobile aircon guy coming tomorrow to fill her up as i am empty so i will put it to the test tomorrow but it all seems to be working fine, To fill her with gas is £50 is that a fair price .

GuyZ I've been seeing loads of 300's recently, especially back home in the valleys and the hillsides(de Wales, aiiii!)...sorry couldn't resist, watched more Ali-G last night...booyakka shaaaa! Anyway, I have made up some fliers which I'm going to print off on my colour printer when I get home this weekend. I know it's ages away, but if I ask now I can start planning ahead (yeah right ) Will we need crash helmets for Trax2001? If so, do they have to be type approved? If anyone on here has done track days before what else would they advise i.e. spare brake pads, brake fluid, ATF fluid, oil, HICAS ball joints etc... Thanks lads Trev

When I start my car in the morning sometimes, I see a puff of black/blue smoke. Its only when the car just starts to run and I stop the key. Its only 1 puff and then every thing is fine. No more smoke at all, even when I boot it. The car runs great. What could it be. Are my turbo seals going and I am getting some oil in the exhaust. Help please anyone Stuart (Slightly worried)

has anyone got/had a problem with the seals round the door leaking? Mine look pretty new but I noticed when its raining, I get drips of water from the rubber seal round the passenger seat door, is this due to the TTops? is it the same for everyone to get a few drips? or should my car be water tight. Seems to mainly happen after I open the door when its raining, maybe a few drips are falling done or getting trapped any suggestions?

I might make up some 300zx fliers and keep them in the car, coz I keep seeing them everywhere now...which is not what you need when you've been seperated from your own for so long! SULK! Tim ;-)

Dead easy. Did the ECU end last night and the ABS tonight. I'd recommend any of you try it yourself if you have a soldering iron. Mine is a Jap import and the wiring is just as in the UK instructions supplied. I'll test it out tomorrow ;-)

I've looked through previous posts about bodykits and on one it said that Simon H's bodykit is a Strosek. What I wanted to know is about the side skirts, they look like the ones that Luke does for the wide arch kit, but from the rides section it doesn't look as though Simon has the wide arch kit (maybe wrong) cos he still seems to have the normal petrol filler cap. Does anyone know??? Cheers Vijay

Hi, I saw an impressive lime green Z with serious body kit yesterday in Yatton Keynell at the body shop there. Is it someone from on this site? If so where did you get all that work done? Was it round here (Chippenham, Wilts)? I loved the flared rear wheel arches and enourmose wheels! Cheers, Andy

My local Nissan gave (and subsequently rechecked) these complete blade part nos; Front (both) KE28889928AE Length:50cms Rear KE28889927AE Length:48cms (These are boxed as 928 or 927.) My UK's existing three blades are all the same length and the same metalwork design. They are about 56cms long. They look right to me as the end of one front drops into that dent in the windscreen surround. Does anyone know the correct parts or a better source. Sorry if this is a bit too exciting! Pete M
