So come on then, what`s the difference between a "Junior member" and a fully fledged "Member" on this forum ? it certainly carn`t be age, must be looks? you`ve obviously seen me zipping around in my Zed! Apart from needing to look a lot older, what else do you have to do to become a "member" ? and keep it clean!.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to Phuong at GR Racing, have just ordered my Techtom MDM-100 and decided to order an ASP underdrive pulley aswell. With the pulley it's only an extra $5 shipping. He's in the States in case you hadn't clicked. Top banana! Tim ;-)

I might be unfortunately selling my Z due to house buy. Its in the Rides section under my name. I have added a couple of other bits to it since (Clear side repeaters, HKS blow-off valves, Strosek rear lights and front vents). Not sure what I want for it but I'm open to very sensible offers (as I don't want to get rid of it!!!! boo hoo!!!!). Mail me at chris.foster@socgen.co.uk

No sooner do i get over one nigly problem another starts. Racing a Scooby the other day dropped down a gear and floored it, engine started misfiring, limped home everything checked okay, removed each connector of coil pack one by one, engine tone dropped on only 4 of them, removed coil packs/plugs and swapped them round, still the same 2 cylinders appear to be down, next step i suppose is to test possible faulty 2 injectors, but has this happened to anyone else ??, what particular test confirmed it and please don't tell me you HAVE to remove plenum chamber to do this !! if so i may as well upgrade all 6 with Geddy's ready for future mods, cheers, Smithy. Hi Guys, The time has come where I may be parting with my beloved Z. Unfortunately a house has to be put in place of it!! Having looked through the trader and various other places, it seems like Import TT's go for about the same price as a UK spec ones. Is this true???? I've also seen some standard TT's go for about 8k. Is this a rough price of a minter or is the guy having a laugh??

my traction control arrived this morning... dont think i'll get it installed in time for le mans, but when i get back i'll be pulling the interior out... cheers to Johnny for arranging it. the url stickers also arrived on friday, so i need to try and arrange something with you all..... an easy way would be to arrange a meet sometime soon, but that might be a while any suggestions ? you could try sending me a SAE to send them back in, although the larger will need two envelopes stuck together lengthways if you dont want it folded.... i am just setting up a paypal account which might come in handy as well ------------------ UK 92…

This may sound stupid but why buy big intercoolers when we all have the aircon refrigerator sat doing nothing most of the time! Surely there's a way of rigging it up to cool the intake air?!?!

Just nipped out to fill up for tomorrow morning and ended up using quarter of it! My car is absolutely flying - must be the combination of a hot engine and the air being very cold tonight. Can't believe what a difference there is between this afternoon and the evening. I'll have to start getting out of bed in the middle of the night to go for a thrash in future...

Hi everyone, Well I shall be getting me dosh back tomorrow and the DeadZed will be finding a new, unsuspecting owner no-doubt(poor sod). I've been taking what Trey and Jayen (sounds like a jamiriquai tribute band lol) suggested and had a look at a couple of import sitez. BestJapancar and gtrimports. Im going to call gtr imports re http://www.gtrimports.com/z300_p01.htm Is there anything I should be wary of viz the uprated ECU? I heard it has issues with our petrol>? Anyway if any of you experts want to cast an eye over her and let me know what you think... And thanks Jayen for the Email and sorry I didn't reply I was upto my arse in the current ShedDeadZed!…

I've noticed on this site and on another, plus from personel experience that there seems to be a common problem with ecu's, usually when someone has discovered their fuel pump relay has gone down, once replaced it seems the one wire that goes from ecu to relay has stopped sending a current to it, this has been confirmed by use of another ecu. So why is this, but more importantly can it be repaired easily ??? Some part of the circuit that sends this voltage to the relay must be blowing. I spoke to a couple of firms who repair ecu's and they estimate £150 to repair, but surely it can't be that difficult, does anyone else know of this, do you know someone who is shit hot wit…

Whilst browsing through a lurking copy of the Daily Mail's colour supplement I noticed a picture of Elton John, who is currently auctioning off 20 of his cars. Probably needs the room to store his hairpieces and glasses. He is sitting on a Jag, but right behind the FTO is the bonnet and lights of a burgundy, or possibly dull red ZX. Wonder if that's one of the ones he is auctioning. Mind you, can't see if it is or is not, but he'd never be able to take the roof off because his glasses woulfd cause too much wind resistance and his badly done, chronically expensive dome-wig would be left behind... Unpleasant thought.

Just to let you know that direct replacement clear side repeaters are in the pipe line and should be out in about 3-4 months.

There is the monthly meeting of the South Eastern Z Group tomorrow. It is at the Halfway House on the A127 at 12.00. This is a local branch on the UK Z Club. I'm sure all would be welcome. The Halfway house is a pub & does food. I think it's a BeefEater or Harvester??? No queue's like M.K./Brighton. Normaly a variaty of Z's From 240's, through to Z31's/Z32's. Only lasts 2/3 hours but is a good laugh. Also ZEXTRA (local breaker is just around the corner). Jan..

Now I've got the money to have my Z resprayed I was wondering if it's worth hving the Cambelt changed while the engines out for respray. looking through the service history it looks like it was changed at 26000 miles, now I've got 108000 on the clock, so I'm thinking its ready for a change. Are there any other jobs that could be done besides a full engine/turbo strip down a rebuild while its out? I would be grateful for any advice as I'm totally non mechanical(but I do cook well!) By the way I hope the colour will be Amazon Blue Mettalic. Looks stunning, a mate had it on his Audi Sports Quattro before some little twat nicked it. Regards John
