One for the experts me thinks, my UK spec 1990 model was decatted some time ago, engine, turbo's and gearbox all rebuilt 30,000 miles ago, now having fitted a new Blitz exhaust system 6 months ago the motor smokes when i come to a stop at halt signs or slow right down. It never smokes under hard driving only as soon as i've just put my foot on the clutch. So ami looking at built up back pressure, which is easily resolved or is it the dreaded seals in the turbo gone and they are releasing drops of oil into a hot manifold when the compressor wheel has slowed down causing the smoke, any help would be appreciated, this is highly embarrasing to say the least, cheers Smithy i.o…

Hi People, Excuse the strong language , but last night some shits decided for fun to kick the door mirror off my Zed, luckily no other damage was caused to the car, and my next door neighbor retrieved the mirror assembly from up the street after the shits threw it away . Can the assembly be repaired or do I have to get a new one , the main damage is the piece of metal that connects the mirror to the door support ( its sheered off ) . The mirrows smashed and the wires cut but thats not a major problem. Can anyone help or suggest anything ( besides finding the scum and hanging them ) I looked through some old posts because I`m sure I saw someone selling bits ,…

Yep, you guessed it, are you into Bruce Spring-spleen or are you an Elton John fan? Come on people, I know that most of you are IT geeks anyway, so why should your music taste make any difference? I'm an IT geek aswell before we get all personal about it! Right 'ere goes then... I like.... Stone Roses The Charlatans Inspiral Carpets Happy Mondays(should make Tooley 'appy...Mad for it!) Let me just set the scene here, Max Power interviewed this little excuse of a person. What follows is the exact article... ENJOY! Guys, The car hasn't done this for 8 months! Engine just cuts out, all lights come on and I have to pull over, no brakes no steering etc. Only does it after about 1 hour of driving, everything else works starter and all other electrics, but it just won't fire up, wait about 10 min and it starts instantly??? Goes on for 1/2 hour then does it again Could it be some relay or such getting hot and failing? All winter long fine, the temp shows just under 1/2 way as norm, I have had the diognostics checked last week all 100%. But there are so many small boxes with wires in under the bonnet would one cough & splutter in the sunshine. Help much appreciated. Ro…

Does anyone know if we can take a passenger in the car! Do we have to tape the up glass from collision/vibration breakage! Are the cars have a basic scrutinisation! And I hear Silverstone do a 1 day bodywork insurance, for road cars on booked track days if so how much! and what about dog tags for the Saint Johns! If the cars minimum requirment is to be road leagal to get there can we use slicks or I/meds on the track! And whose briging the BBQ! harve.

Hi, I thought that my battery was on the way out as I have had difficulty starting my Z for the past 4 to 5 days but I think it may be the starter or more specifically the soleniod. Some times when trying to start I just get a tick tick tick sound from the starter, but if I turn the key all the way back and try again it will start(without waiting as you do with a flat battery). Anyone got any idea, it doesn't always do it either. Cheers

I posted a message the other night (a few threads down) asking what sort of price I may be able to get for my Z if I decide to sell her. I know it's subject to many factors, but can't anyone here in the know inform me of a ballpark figure? I need to make the decision quick, cause if she goes then I have to organise another in time for the Trax event. Thanks to those of you who responded with valuable info on the differences... all your comments have edged me further in the direction. Mine really is an absolute dream.. but if she can bring me back a good price then I'll go for it. There's 2k worth of audio in there so surely that must help... but if not, it could …

A pal of mine is looking for some Jap muscle. Having seen lots of tatty cars at various import places I really want to find him a well sorted car. He was after Hairsy's car which has now gone but that's the sort I'm after for him. Do any of you know of a well sorted Mitsi 3000GT's, Supra TT or 300ZX TT for sale. It has to be a good one and he will pay if it's worth it. Your help as always is appreciated. Simon P.
