I have asked Nissan. £188 plus VAT for one sill. Considering the sill on only a 4 foot piece of metal. Does anyone know where else I can get sills from?

I lurk around the Z32 websites smugly thinking how lucky I am that my Z has never let me down. Saturday, the Sun's out I think, tops off and away I go. No such luck, I turn the key and - nothing. It transpires that my 6 month old battery is down to 8 volts (don't know why, I didn't leave anything switched on). The battery charger won't touch it so I jump start it and go for a blast thinking it'll charge up ok, the voltmeter showing a healthy 14 volts. I drove about twenty miles or so and stopped for refreshments. I return to the car turn the key and - nothing. I had to call a friend to come out and jump start me. whether it's associated or not I don't know but on the way …

Well gentlemen the Sun is out the temp is rising etc and yep the air con ain't as cold as it could be!! i seem to recall reading a post from last year about bubbles in the inspection glass. but can't remeber if it should or should not have bubbles in it. whilst on the subject can any recommend so where to get the system regased in the london area west if poss. thanks guys and stay cool or not as the case maybe ;-)

Just thought I would update you guys on how my uni-chip ecu upgrade is performing. Unfortunatley since my Zed has had this installed it is not what I would call 100%. To be fair it has made a hell of an improvement on the performance, as soon as the car reaches 3500 RPM it certainly forces you in the seat!!. The change it made in the speed is quite impressive. HOWEVER, it has made it run considerably rougher and does not idle as well as it did before the upgrade. It is very had to determin if this idle problem is down to the chip or to the other upgrades made after the chip was installed ( e.g. stright through exhaust ). Just had a faultless value for money job done on the above at R.C developments in Warrington. My problem was valve related and I finished up paying £1900 which is about right, but they went the extra mile in that they honestly appraised my bottom-end and declared it sound when they must have known I was at their mercy, so could have ripped me off, intelligently changed my cam belt after checking the mileage and noting it was due, checked the condition of my turbos,and generally said and did the right things. I know we've touched on upgraded ecu's before but i'm looking to purchase one from SE-Nissan this week if possible. Apparently there are a few different spec one's available so, how much have you guys been paying for them, what stage were they and has anyone bought one mail order that was designed to meet their current spec ?????? I have recently fitted Brembo front calipers and 330mm discs exR33, these have fitted perfectly behind the 17" Momo sportz wheels with stax of room to spare, I reckon there is at least a 100% improvement in braking efficiency especially at high speeds! Cheers to Johnny at Grasshopper for the"mint" condition calipers and discs. One question however, have i retained my A.B.S.? Also, whilst i am on line.................. Due an oil change soon (every 3k) 300zx is just coming up to 96k miles TT model, have used Mobil 1 for last 2 years, anyone recommend a better alternative?

I've just ordered a rear light panel for my Z from PaulBailey design. I know they use lights clusters from a Fiat Coupe, but wondering where else I could buy them from except from Fiat direct. I've tried local scrappies but no joy there. Also, anyone got any knowledge on fitting the panel and lights. Any wiring problems???? CheerZ> Chris

I'm all set to pick my first Z up on Tuesday if all goes well, so expect me to be a regular from then on. Hopefully with not too many problems. It's a black '91 TT and i can't wait to get it. It's quite a big jump from a 106 Rallye to a Z so it should be gooood. I don't many people here really, I've met Tooley and Johnny a couple of times, (200plus meetings) but thats it. I'll report back on Tuesday to let you all know how it goes. P.S. Am I the youngest person to own a Z here, as I'm only 20.
