Just had a phone call from nissan and they have said that their diagnostic machine has told them I have a faulty noc sensor( not sure of the spelling!! ). WTF is this sensor and what is its purpose? Would this part have an effect on the timing of my Zed causing it run bad and misfire? Thay say the part is £150.00 . Is this something I can install myself? Any thoughts please guys? Cheerz Simon H

It's turning out to be a right pain in the arse trying to find the parts to get my Zed moveable! I've tried Luke@the Zcentre=none available, I've tried Mike@ MJP, I've tried Zxtra but no one is home! and I've tried Silvia. All I'm after is a left hand side tension rod with the bushing and bolts, and a left hand side transverse link arm with the bolts, I'm after second hand, used, abused, crusty or rusty!! And yep I've emailed you Andy about the link arm :) Can anyone help out sourcing these parts, new tension rod is £90 and the link arm is £130! Courtesy in the states sell the two for £125!!(without vat and delivery though). Thing is my link arm has a bracket on it …

There was a lot of talk about the aquamist-system a while ago, but it has gone all quiet again. So, I was wondering if there's anyone here that has this sytem actually fitted in a Z ? Any good/bad experiences ? -Eric

Anyone got any info on this ultra low sulphur petrol that my locals have all started pushing? Anything good for the environment is usually bad for the Z in one way or another =) It was hard enough finding premium, now it looks like normal unleaded is going the same way... Raz

Any advice/info is gratefully received, but I am specifically interested in insurability, driveability, reliability, reliability (yes, it's important), tunability and general cost of ownership (ownershipability sounded odd ;)). I have seen pictures of Z32s with the centre rear panel (the one with the two clear reversing lights on it) that just has a "Z" on it rather than the "300ZX" as on the standard. Anyone know where you can get this? Mozart

Hi peeps, Anyone got a Techtom MDM 100?? These things sound great, after you get your AVCR you get a Techtom it would seem in the US. Anyway from what I can tell they give the driver feed back on various engine parameters real time and they plug into the Nissan Consult socket. Plug and Play for the Z ;-) I have been in contact with a guy at G-Force Engineering in the US who can provide me with one for $435 USD. Can I get one cheaper and for people who have got them, how usefull are they? Perhaps we could do a group by? Hello people. Thinking about upgrading the front brakes. Would like bigger discs and calipers but funds are a little low and need to keep 16" wheels. I understand 315mm discs will fit but will 330mm fit on the standard calipers. Cheers. Paul.

just want to guage opinion here, but i have spoken to a company called 3 g brakes and they have the following prices 20 Groove Front discs 169 pounds including vat 20 groove rear discs 179 pounds including vat Redstuff brake pads for the front 90 pounds or they will do the front brakes + redstuff pads for 190 pounds. the discs are ventilated and grooved and if we get together more than 5 sets he will consider a discount (im not to sure by how much) i think this is a really good deal, and they fit straight on.

my speedo seems rather eratic, and seems to come down from speed very slowly. has anyone had this?

This applies to all of you who have a Japanese import. I have been investigating kph to mph convertors for a while now. Mainly because of the problems I have experienced. I think I have found an underlying problem. As many of you are aware most of these convertors work by altering the number of 'pulses' going to the speedo from the speed sensor. In reality, when the convertor is fitted only 2 out of the 3 pulses are recieved by the speedo or there abouts hence the speedo only registering 2/3 a needle movement. A MPH sticker is then placed over the KPH sticker and there you go. BUT..... These pulses then go from the speedo to the HICAS, Auto box etc. T…

Since having the turbos changed on my Z the car does is not running correctly. The usual smooth running V6 now seems to be going like a tractor. It is mis-firing at idle and at low revs. It also appears to blow more smoke out of the drivers side exhaust on start up and has a strong fuel smell in use. I have changed the plugs / leads and fuel regulator but this has not helped. Any thoughts on a possible cause guys? I would be grateful for any views guys as the tick over at the moment is going up and down more than a kangaroo shagging a space hopper!! Cheers Simon H

'Ere we go, behind the rear bumper is a steel pipe approx 18" long, doubled over with a u bend it needs replacing, but I cant find it in either the cd/online manuals! Is it important or just a spare butchers rack. Dunno mate! What do I ask for! Or has anyone got one going fs. harve.

...I had a couple of cops give me some grief over the loudness of my exhausts, this evening. I have an NA with large bore s/steel catless pipes, and this cop car pulled up outside my house as I was parking, and said they had been following me across Town, by the sound of my exhausts!....they said I was a bit old for such a car...And that I should consider selling it..What a cheek! I was wondering if they can nick you for being too loud. JEZ

Here's one for the 300ZX guru's (you know who you are!), Our cars are limited to max. speed of 155mph, so all this talk about upgrading the ECU's to Jun, Mines, JWT etc. Do they remove the top end speed limit and if so what is the realistic top end for the 300ZX TT as standard???
