Cam pulleys

Any of you lot got open cam pulleys?

Is it a case of removing plastic covers & tidying wires up, or a bit more involved?

Seen pic's of US cars with it done looks appealing with a bit of lippy here and there.

    I wouldn't recommend doing that.

     

    You're exposing your timingbelt to dust and oil.

    Also I heard several stories about people without the covers, dropping screws or tools in that area and forgot about it..until they started the car.
