Whats the best boost controller to use on the Z? I've been told either EVC-4 from HKS or SBC from Blitz Does anyone know the different features and what boost pressure can be achieved safely. Do you lose the safety boost feature with these installed ?

Check out the for/sale/wanted section on this kit. I only intend to do a limited number of these kits, nothing worse than going to a car show and seeing every car with the same thing, Smithy

At long last and after much effort i am in a postion to sell Boost/intercooler hard pipe kits. Anyone who has got or seen the HKS kit that goes for around $350.00 will know it is not all that pretty, due to horrible weld joints, is expensive and you must buy all 4 pipes, well i'm offering the following for £210.00 plus a fiver postage. Polished stainless steel pipes, mandrel bent, all visible weld joints ground and polished out, purge (?) welded inside for good balance of air flow. Coloured Silicone hose sleeves and reducers in your choice, unfortunately no clips as yet, can't find a good supplier. This kit can be tailored to your needs, cant afford the whole lot, buy 2 …

I'm trying to remove the 2 coolant hoses that go into the bulkhead so that I can fit a bypass pipe. However the hoses must be 11 years old and are rock solid when cold and still dont budge when hot! There is not much room to get a good grip on the pipe and I dont really want to cut them(although its going that way). Any tips on removing these hoses? I've got a quote from Darren at Ancaster for replacing the heater matrix: £833. But as I've just got the Z back from SE and paid £3 short of of a grand I'm a bit skint, hence fitting the bypass pipe which Darren said should be okay Any help would be appreciated as I'm rapidly getting fed up with Z ownership at the moment…

I might even sort this out for my car, PIGS are getting away with far too much nowadays! Especially beating people up on their own doorstep, a la Rodney King stylee! Step 1. First, get yourself armed with a video unit...check it! Step 2. Then get a camera, Maplin...check it! SORTED! Tim ;-)

Going home through Portsmouth last night back to the Isle of Wigit I got past by a blinding white ZED. It was an absolute minter from what I could see as it shot past. To compliment it's superb condition it had the number plate "A1". Don't know if the plate was its real one but if it was I wonder how more Zeds he could buy if he sold it!!!! Was it any of you guys cruising Portsmouth last night at warp factor 10 ??? Laterz Simon H

I've been looking at them but the average price seems to be about £150 - £200 smackeroonoies ! I'm looking for cheap - but conforming to safety standards... as I drive like an old fart, and so am unlikely to require anything other than entry level. Reading through Max Power last night(f**k all on smelly!) and a company called Regal Auto Bulbs is now doing a superb HID kit for £499 all in. They don't have a website, but I'm gonna give them a ring to see what the score would be fitting to a 300ZX. It does state that the kit can be installed onto any car and it rattles on about how until now only certain H4/H7 connection types would be acceptable...whatever that means? AndyP help me out here! It is expensive but they claim 300 percent brighter, which in most of our cases means that we should be able to get our money back by selling the Night Vision goggles that most of us have had to buy! Comes with everything, di…

OK, now I'm mad ! Got my 'Conditional Offer Of Fixed Penalty' in the post this morning for the 'alleged' red light auto camera device violation (shit don't they word it well)that occurred on my first time in Cardiff city centre, and it's got me in a right rage ! It's probably just a standard form, but JAAAAYSUUUS, these assholes really are pompous gits ! "If you wish to contest this allegation in court you may do so. If you do not wish to do so, it may be possible to deal with it by a fixed penality of £60 and the endorsement of 3 penalty points on your licence, without the necessity for court proceedings." It MAY !??? They expect me to send my licence AND 6…

Yup the scratched Razo gearknob is going to be replaced, but here is my question: My blow off (oooerr) valves are very quiet, is it possible to replace something inside them to get a bigger swiiissshhh noise as I like scaring old ladies on the way to the post office?? Hi chaps have a tech thought for ya. When I ran a Sierra Cosworth I looked at the dump valves available at the time and the cost, and surmised that the ford fitted unit did exactly the same but vented back into the inlet. So I disconnected the return and blanked off the inlet and hey presto full sushh sound as Max Ford had intended. Later I uprated so much I fitted a dump valve with a kevlar diaphragm and so and so ...... but that another story. Still with me? well decided to have a look at the same theory with my zed, after loads of puffing and grunting trying to remove the air box gave up and tackled it from below. Bloody under trays !!!! removed thr return a…

Hi My passenger seat is wound right back and will not move at at. I think there is a problem with the elecrics as one of the block connectors is missing (the one closest to the control buttons on the electric connector under the seat). Does anyone have any expertise in these things, ie is it just a positive and negative power source? If it is I guess i could wire it straight to the battery and test it that way, also does anyone know if there is a manual override to move the seat forward? Ta chaps. ------------------ -- Glen

Zeadly Intentions... There's nothing quite like the 300ZX, It scares old people, the kids and the pets, It sees a Porch Boxster it just flexes its Pecs, Nothing quite like a 300ZX! Yeah shes got an addiction for fuel, But always up for a scrap or a duel, Kicks arse like a Japanese mule, She can be a handful, and a dangerous tool! Some will spend their entire life arguing "Auto or Manual?", Personally I would much rather own a Cocker Spaniel, Or listen to a song by a romping homo 'bout a guy called Daniel, Or end up christening my kid Nathaniel!
