Fellow Zster, I just started noticing that between 2 and 3k RPM my engine is making the nuts-and-bolts-in-a-baked-bean-can noise. This is while I'm cruising at motorway speeds and although difficult to hear is a sustained rattle which gets slightly louder when accellerating. Is this detonation or what? Also, I seem to have lost a bit of top-end boost. Whereas I normally get the boots needle up to the second to last minor line (my gauge is stock Jap which runs from -7 to +7) now it stops at the only fat line between 0 and +7. Does this indicate that I'm in safety boost mode? Can this be caused by the detonation problem? I get this every time the engine has warmed up s…

... Just as I go off to lunch. Has anyone driven the Nürburgring? I have always fancied it, it is reasonabaly priced, but, I'd love to hear if anyone has actually done it. By todays exchange rates £71 buys you 12 laps of the north loop, each loop being 12.9mls, total 155mls! I wanna go. Tim

This 98 2 seater turbo is a fiver short of 20 Grand! It hasnt even got leather! Still, having a Z with 1800km's would be nice ,thats just over 1000 miles I think. All you'd have to do is clean it! http://www.doremotors.co.uk/cars/CZ86004646.htm Later Trev.

Tim turns up but is worried that his car looks different since he got it back from SE; Nick Dastardly and Mattley arrive with the usual flair; Johnny decide's that Mods are the only way to go; Jeff's nice colour Z just as the boost kicks in; Ajay turns up with more mods she fitted herself; Warren, back on national service demands more speed;

I've got some rust around the rear wheel-arches and perhaps when I get it cut out I'll consider the wider arches. If you've had it done I'd like to hear how well the job went and how you like it. Got any pics? Remember the prices? Jez. ------------------

As Penrod Pooch, he works as a janitor at Police Headquarters. But when evil threatens, this calamitous canine grabs his mask and kimono and transforms into martial arts legend Hong Kong Phooey! As long as he has his Kung Fu manual, Hong Kong Phooey is supremely confident. Show him a villain, and he'll show you dazzling footwork, lightning quick reflexes and unstoppable powers of persuasion! Unfortunately, he'll also show you falling flat on his face, bumbling, stumbling, flip flopping and bungling. Matty. ------------------

OK - when I get my Zed, I'm going to have some nice security fitted.. I was thinking of a Clifford Concept 600, and maybe a tracker.. What are peoples opinions on trackers? Anyone know if it makes any noticeable difference to your insurance premiums? Does anyone know if Clifford still do the turbo timer option on their alarms too? Would save the hassle of trying to get a Blitz timer to work with the alarm (although.. I do rather lik the Blitz full auto timer (or was that the HKS one... )).. Hints, tips? Is it possible to get Blitz/HKS timers to work with a Concept 600 - anyone done it? Cheers Az

1. is it perfectly safe to change settings while driving? 2. I know it has scramble boost, but is there anyway of wiring up a switch to be able to get to a certain boost even if the boost controller is in the off position?, so it's a one touch operation - I nearly went into the back of someone today looking at my controller. Hey all, me again, Just a thought - if we get enough people together we can do a good deal on getting a skid course organized. The reason I suggest this is that not too long ago I found myself facing the wrong way on a roundabout after having spun 540 degrees. Wet weather and a slightly enthusiastic right foot contributed to this predicament. I am normally very capable of catching and correcting skids but the Z reacted completely different to what I expected. I reckon that the HICAS kicked in and was opposing everything I was doing to correct the problem. Let me know if you are interested in this kind of event and if we have enough interest I'll get busy on organizin…

Hello all, Well, after a well deserved break in Holland me and my Z are back in the country (both still slightly seasick as the case may be). Met up with Eric (Lymonn) several time and need to mention here that he's a top bloke. He sorted me out with UK size rear rims for my import Z as well as sorted an idling and cooling problem I've been having. Thanks m8! Now that I'm back I need to do a few upgrades to the hoses and connectors in the car. I need the following items and would like to know if I can get them in the UK and what to expect price-wise: 1. Uprated fuel lines - looking for the type that has a braided exterior to prevent the constant shrinking/e…
