Going home through Portsmouth last night back to the Isle of Wigit I got past by a blinding white ZED. It was an absolute minter from what I could see as it shot past. To compliment it's superb condition it had the number plate "A1". Don't know if the plate was its real one but if it was I wonder how more Zeds he could buy if he sold it!!!! Was it any of you guys cruising Portsmouth last night at warp factor 10 ??? Laterz Simon H

I've been looking at them but the average price seems to be about £150 - £200 smackeroonoies ! I'm looking for cheap - but conforming to safety standards... as I drive like an old fart, and so am unlikely to require anything other than entry level. Mr. P, is this what you're getting mate? I was looking at an APEXi one off Phuongs site but this looks the dogs...BOLLOX! Not a bad price either, if you get Data Logging facility you can download to your PC/Craptop and use Excel to give you a nice graph....who needs Dyno runs with one of these??? Race-Technology? Click here... Tim ;-)

Reading through Max Power last night(f**k all on smelly!) and a company called Regal Auto Bulbs is now doing a superb HID kit for £499 all in. They don't have a website, but I'm gonna give them a ring to see what the score would be fitting to a 300ZX. It does state that the kit can be installed onto any car and it rattles on about how until now only certain H4/H7 connection types would be acceptable...whatever that means? AndyP help me out here! It is expensive but they claim 300 percent brighter, which in most of our cases means that we should be able to get our money back by selling the Night Vision goggles that most of us have had to buy! Comes with everything, di…

OK, now I'm mad ! Got my 'Conditional Offer Of Fixed Penalty' in the post this morning for the 'alleged' red light auto camera device violation (shit don't they word it well)that occurred on my first time in Cardiff city centre, and it's got me in a right rage ! It's probably just a standard form, but JAAAAYSUUUS, these assholes really are pompous gits ! "If you wish to contest this allegation in court you may do so. If you do not wish to do so, it may be possible to deal with it by a fixed penality of £60 and the endorsement of 3 penalty points on your licence, without the necessity for court proceedings." It MAY !??? They expect me to send my licence AND 6…

In keeping with the whole dock-hanger-abouterer theme of my recent posts, I would like to say i have cured my knob problem but now have a question about my ring!! Yup the scratched Razo gearknob is going to be replaced, but here is my question: My blow off (oooerr) valves are very quiet, is it possible to replace something inside them to get a bigger swiiissshhh noise as I like scaring old ladies on the way to the post office?? Hi chaps have a tech thought for ya. When I ran a Sierra Cosworth I looked at the dump valves available at the time and the cost, and surmised that the ford fitted unit did exactly the same but vented back into the inlet. So I disconnected the return and blanked off the inlet and hey presto full sushh sound as Max Ford had intended. Later I uprated so much I fitted a dump valve with a kevlar diaphragm and so and so ...... but that another story. Still with me? well decided to have a look at the same theory with my zed, after loads of puffing and grunting trying to remove the air box gave up and tackled it from below. Bloody under trays !!!! removed thr return a…

Hi My passenger seat is wound right back and will not move at at. I think there is a problem with the elecrics as one of the block connectors is missing (the one closest to the control buttons on the electric connector under the seat). Does anyone have any expertise in these things, ie is it just a positive and negative power source? If it is I guess i could wire it straight to the battery and test it that way, also does anyone know if there is a manual override to move the seat forward? Ta chaps. ------------------ -- Glen

Zeadly Intentions... There's nothing quite like the 300ZX, It scares old people, the kids and the pets, It sees a Porch Boxster it just flexes its Pecs, Nothing quite like a 300ZX! Yeah shes got an addiction for fuel, But always up for a scrap or a duel, Kicks arse like a Japanese mule, She can be a handful, and a dangerous tool! Some will spend their entire life arguing "Auto or Manual?", Personally I would much rather own a Cocker Spaniel, Or listen to a song by a romping homo 'bout a guy called Daniel, Or end up christening my kid Nathaniel! Its lights are crap, might as well be blind, Brake discs warp and pads just grind, HICA…

I would like to 'clock back' my jap 300. Not for any illegal reason rather that I have converted the car to MPH and the miles are now clocking up as opposed to the KMs on top of the 81,000 KMS on it to start with. Anyone else tried this? Tim

Superb, my car is pretty much sorted, Pete's been waiting for me to give him the nod and hopefully will be getting her back end of August, middle of September at the latest!!! So, save a place for me at Blackpool guyZ and GirlZ, if all goes well I will be there! Timmy soon to be Twin Tub again

Hey guys fitted my new Nishiobo front discs and pads today and guess what ............ they have cured the brake judder and shake at 70 mph completely in fact the whole experience of braking at any speed is so much smoother no pulsing when slowing at a junction etc.seems the old discs must of got real bad without me realising. Now got to go slow, brake gentle etc to bed them in, At present they seem ok will update as some mileage is added to them. Jeff TT

Was travelling back from the Isle of Cheese and in Northampton coming up thru the mad roundabout section there was a convertible XKR behind me. Now then, I didnt want to race because I had Barry White playing on the in car mp3 widget, but He comes flying up behind me on the dual carraigeway so we cruise up towards the next roundabout and i drop into second and navigate the roundabout at 40ish with this [Fabrizio Ravanelli lookalike) right up me greddy-pipes, so I floor it out of the roundabout and hit the rev limiter (feck me i didnt know i even had one) and wack it quicklike into third, spooling upto treble miles an hour and this ploink is not keeping up with me?? I…

Right, have just been on me old mate Phuongs' website over the pond and he's running a nifty little sale on Brembo discs, drilled at Stillen with all the gubbins to boot! I've already enquired about shipping costs coz this lot will be heavy...as soon as he's mailed me back I'll let you know. But I had a Techtom and an ASP underdrive pulley from him recently and the box was large and quite heavy. But didn't get stung, paid £32 for the lot...result! Price is $580 which at todays exchange rate equalled £407.069 GBP...not bad eh? Check it! Got Brakes? Tim ;-) [This message has been edited by Timmy_Turbo (edited 31-07-2001).]
