I entered a competion where the top prize is a weekend in Monaco to see the European Super Cup final between Liverpool and Bayern Münich. And I won. I am not a Liverpool fan though. But its a weekend in Monaco. Cool. Wish I could take my Z so I can beat the track record. Stuart

We decide to go in my car since it's back from SE complete with Muttseide Bodykit... Just incase you don't know what we look like...that's Matty on the left and me on the right... So anyway, can you belive it? Car breaks down on us...not surprisingly...so we trade her in for a cooler set of wheels, get a good deal and we can get 90 to the gallon on this hog... ...so, we finally make it to Blackpool, now it's time for a haircut ready for Saturday night... ...so here we are, ready for some action, dressed to kill and ready to pull...slick eh?... Sorry you guyZ, but the women are well and truly taken... BP awaits...

Guys, Where is the best place in the UK to get new connectors and sensors. I'm after a couple: engine temp connector, the one right next to it that sends signals to the temp gauge in the cabin, O2 sensors, PCV valves, etc. Your feed back is, as always, greatly appreciated. Later! DAN

I had a Cobra 7928 alarm fitted when I bought my car. Can anyone tell me if you can change the cabin sensors from ultrasonics to microwave (I now know that there is a microwave version available - hindsight!) and can it be set up to lock the doors, close the windows and fold the mirrors in? ta Tim

Hi all, Got a little problem with the panels under the engine. The panel closest to the front bumper is okay, but the one behind it has worked itself loose somehow, and has an alarming tendancy to drop down at the front, whereby the oncoming air pushes it down onto the road and scares the shit out of me =) Anyone know how these things are supposed to stay in place, and how I could get this one refixed, either properly or by juryrigging it! Cheers guys Raz

Bob, I sent you an email a couple of days ago, about Clifford alarms (in reply to your post on my other thread).. Apologies if I'm just being impatient I should be picking the car up in a couple of weeks at a guess, and I need to make arrangements to get an alarm fitted PDQ after I get the car (i.e. before some thieving scum nick the car, while I have a non-existant alarm declared on my insurance!).. Cheers Az

Hi, One of my contacts told me he heard about a full VG30DETT aluminium engine (block)....but I NEVER heard of such a beast. Do you have any information about it ? Even if it's remote, I'm interested to know.. I know there's a full AL block for the Z31, but AFAIK not for the Z32... And, BTW, it's for an exotic project, the engine (either the regular VG30DETT or the al-version of it) will end up in a Lotus Exige... Hi ya guys the front discs and pads are well bedded in now 300+miles and are tops no shakey shakey good positive feel and now fade....yet! So far seems they are fine and makes you wonder about cost and quality sometimes, for just over £120 pads and discs i cant complain especially when the guy on the greenstuff stand at Billy wanted £120 for the pads only! that was with 10% show discoun... good god! they wear out as well like any pad.I can say the quality of the discs were top (made in Japan) and the pads were pre chamfered and slotted. The only gripe is the brake dust for the first 150 miles!! washed the wheels 5 times last week Does seem to of calmed down now so will …

Myself and Matthew were amazed at AndyP's uncanny knack of spotting silly Z peeps with their wheels on the wrong way round at Billing! LOL! So, if you wanna improve your brake cooling, as Nelson intended when they designed the stock 300ZX wheel, and impress yer mates like what Mr. P did... Check it out here... Keep it real! Timmy-G

Guys, I may be ignorant at times but please put this puppy to sleep for me: what is the best way to measure the engine oil level and the transmission fluid level? Should this be done on a cold engine, a hot engine? Also, what is a TPS? My guess - Throttle Position Sensor????? and where is it located. Reason I ask is that I've just seen a post that details the auto box stalling the engine from time to time - apparently caused by knackered TPS wiring ... I've got the same problem (intermittently). Many thanks for your enlightenment. CHEERS! Dan

I have had a Dastek Uni-chip installed in my zed for about a year now. Am I the only one on this forum that has had one of these installed on a Zed?. I have to say that apart from a few problems at the start( which I think were due to other things) the chip has been ok. How come no-one else seems to have one of these?. Do they have a bad name or something!. Surely with all the new member the forum has now one person must have this upgrade!!. It did make the car go from fast to holy s##t as far as performance goes so why is it not used more? Anyone else out there!! Simon H

A question from one of the MR2 mob was recently sent to the UK MOT Centre staff :- Q: I own a November 1994 MR2 Turbo which is of course a Japanese Imported vehicle. Is it a legal requirement for my car to have a Catalytic convertor on in order for it to pass its MOT, or can I remove the CAT with a cat replacement pipe and it will still be legal for the MOT? And the answer :- A: Basically if your vehicle is not listed in the latest emissions book (it won't be because it's an import) you can replace the cat. The vehicle should be tested to the limits as listed. CO Visit: Http://www.motuk.co.uk/exhaust_emmissions.htm So I assume that as lo…
