Just got my new Mongoose system fitted this morning. What a difference, lovely noise, now sounds more like a sportscar than a hoover. Now just have to sort out the cat pipes and it's job done ! It's gonna sound great in the underground car park at work .... ------------------

Just to get some facts straight, as long as the bulb inside the clear tail is red it's legal to drive right?

Anyone got one ? Are they all they're cracked up to be ? They're just a GPS with no screen right and I'd guess that once a week you download a list of waypoints that coincide with the speed cameras. Can those waypoints be accesed anywhere else and loaded into a normal GPS ? ------------------

I'm going to try and wire up the electrics for the tow bar this afternoon, does anyone have any advise to give on doing this? I have heard it said the just piggybacking connections is not the best thing to do when you have as many on board electrics/sensors as we do. Any advise would be appreciated. Tim

Well I just installed Xp and have no MSN or email. Mate, not so long ago on this forum and on MSN, technically minded people had a pop at me (in my absence) for having all the gizmos on my car and not having a clue what they did - remember? and they were right! - I haven't got a clue about boost controllers, speed meters, air/fuel mixers, dump valves and big fat de-catted Greddy pipes That hurt at the time, coz I spent ten grand on a Zed and all I know is how to drive it fast Does it bother me now? Paid £35 for 45:51 litres of Optimax today thats 76.9 a litre is good or average. Having been unsure of any improvement with Optimax had a tank of norm unleaded ARRGHH glad thats gone back to the dear stuff. yum,yum Jeff TT Ps Is it available in the US ?

Since my latest upgrades have a strange noise (like when you blow down a straw type thing) from dash /bukhead area when on hard boost(approching 1 bar) I am guessing its a leak somewhere ? yeh? it sounds very much from in front of the passenger area behind the dash or may be the bulhead area,not sure I`d hear it if in engine bay, perhaps would, any idea`s as if is a leak want to sort it before rolling road day or maybe it will show up easyier then. when moving the Z seems to creek from somewhere. Happens when riding on bumpy roads or hitting bumps. Would you say its something as simple as the dash rubbing or something or a suspension problem. could someone please tell me whats going on here. when i brought my z it came with DIL 6171 as the plate. This was not sold with the car and I agreed that I would nominee the previous owner to the plate. now a year has passed the dvla have sent me a retention document reminder asking for £25 to keep the plate on retention or £50 for retension and giving a new nominee. can i presume that the plate is mine as the nominee did not take the oppertunity to take control of the plate? if this is correct is there anyone here who would want to buy it? having your z not year stamped can only be a good thing!! What's the quickest and easiest way to get the reflecors out of the rear lenses - read somewhere about putting in oven to remove them but seems very dangerous and messy!

Okay the Auto or Manual debatre may rage on but have you bought your 300 like me? I bought £5.5K of 300 on the basis of 3 photos and and couple of emails. (the photos being the Jap auction). I had looked at many UK cars and they were a pile of S**e. I ended up with a Jap car with 55,000 on the clock and an unknown history. Well 6,000 miles later I'm still quite happy, love the speed, nearly put myself in the ditch once and am still unsure about the colour - Bright Red! Do I sell it or do I keep it? Post your stories about how you bought your 300! Alternatively tell me why I should keep the money pit! Tim
