Hello peps, I was surfing today looking for something completely different but come across these web sites and thought some of you might like to browse over the information presented. The turbo calculator is 'interesting'. http://www.howstuffworks.com/framed.htm?parent=turbo.htm&url=http://www.turbofast.com.au/tfcalc.html http://www.howstuffworks.com/framed.htm?parent=turbo.htm&url=http://www.quancon.com/~gdrane/turbosys.html cheers.

OK, I know brakes have been discussed here before, but what really is the best value brake upgrade around? I'm looking for something that will slow the car down effectively rather than mushing around slightly and letting the car in front slow you down) without costing an arm and a leg. Just got my Zed back, and I could swear my fiancee's Pug 106 brakes better (and that's shite). I'd like to keep the insurance people happy - does a disk upgrade count as a performance enhancement or a safety upgrade? I'm planning to put a Jap spec brake light in the spoiler too. Any advice greatly appreciated. James.

My 300ZX has a problem: code 13 on the ECU readout - temperature sensor. I don't have the time to get this fixed (I can't get it over to ZCentre in Nottingham, or up to Hiteq in Wigan), so have decided to sell cheap to someone who'll have the time to do the necessary repairs. (The piece needing replacement is apparently only thirty GBP.) The back bumper also needs dipping, and a touch-up around the keyhole is advised (all-in quoted at 130 GBP) The dials on the speedo need changing too (kinked in the sun!) Other than the above, this car is absolutely immaculate - brought into UK as a genuine grade 5. - original targa covers, toolkit etc. SPEC: …

Woo hoo!!! finally got the Zed back. Almost couln't tell it had got too friendly with a hedge at all... If anyone wants any bodywork done in the Chester area I'd recommend Chris at PitStop on Sealand Road (may be a good idea to give him any new parts needed though). That reminds me, AndyZ, I'll be in touch later about the new list of parts I need. You can find PitStop in the Mellow Pages. He's replaced all the lower panels down the LH side, straightened out the sill, rebuilt the rear left suspension and sprayed the new bits to match perfectly. The Zed's going back to him for full re-spray over Easter. total cost £1700 including parts. Anyhow, back into the…

Morning All Driving home last night on a desserted moor in Derbyshire, I was cruising at about 80 when all of a sudden load bang, fairy tree lights on the dash, everything cuts out and smoke starts coming from the engine bay. Bollocks I think, after 1/2 hr on the phone trying to explain where the f~~k this unmarked road was, the AA man finally gets there, takes one look and says me engines f~~ked, he thinks the cam shaft has broken, there are no visible signs of damage of oil anywhere. Had it towed to my garage and I hope they can have a look at it today. So whats the chances its not really expensive and what options do I have? is it a new engine, rebuild or re-con…

Having ventured deep into technical forum terroriry, I noticed a post by Aaron with a picture of his instrument panel. Someone mentioned that his boost gauge was reading low on warm idle.. I have photographed my gauge on warm idle and was wondering if I have a boost pipe leak: There are two pix, one stock gauge and the other my GReddy gauge, which reads in mmhg or kg/cm ... what do you think: and Thanks for the replies in advance Glen
