Hi Have any of you used this company, there offering a low milage engine with all bits and fitting, 12 months warranty, parts and labour for £3000, is that worth it. Still waiting for the rebuild price. Cheerz John [This message has been edited by John Whelan (edited 19-02-2002).]

Ok that old goody is with us again but has any body ever noticed how, despite all the arguments for and against there is never a conclusive answer to the question of which is better Auto or Manual. So here is what I propose: Lets have a listing of the good points with Auto and Manual transmission. For every positive comment that type of box will score a point. When this post dries up let the box with the most points be declared the best all round transmission type. Remember, stick to the good points of your preferred transmission type, no slaging of the other and try not to repeat previously mentioned points by re-wording them as this will corrupt the final sc…

At last, my car is sorted. It idles perfectly at 800rpm & drives beautifully. The problem was half due to the air flow meter & dodgy wiring. I found that my air flow meter was full of crap & also the wires to the connector were half knackered! Also just want to say thanks to Andy Duff for finding one fault which if had been left undiscovered could have had me guessing for many months more cos there's nothing worse than multiple faults! I drove it today & it feels bloody ace!

I live in sweden and our only option when we want to order stuff from JWT (like a clutch) or the jspec 99 taillights is to order from either Ultimate Z or courtesyparts in the US. This works just fine, but shipping costs are not fun at all and we must pay swedish taxes (25%). Is there any equivalent to courtesyparts in the UK or som other part of te EU? regards David

Just to give you an update on my dead Zed. Its been with SE for the last 4 weeks. They managed to start it 2 weeks ago, indicating the PTU and CAS are ok. They switched it off, went to start it again, turns over won't start again, the engine is flooded again. They reckon it might be the ECU, so beginning of last week, they said they are gonna try another ecu. Each day they assure me the car is gonna be looked at that day..each day comes..each day goes..nothing..I keep getting pushed back to the end of the appointment queue, I mean how long does it take to swap an ecu over?? Now they assure me is gonna be looked at tomorrow. Cor I could of built a zed from the floor up i…

Just behind the fan there's a silver pipe that runs lengthways. It houses the temparature sensors for the dashboard, the ecu, and there's a third. The first two are on the same mount (yellow block with a black and a yellow/green wire). It's the third sensor, and blue-headed wire on its own, just to the right of the double-headed one. Can anyone please tell me what this third sensor is for, and a part number if you know it - I'm getting code 13 from the ECU, have replaced the yellow-block sensor, but am having same problem... Thanks a lot...

Hi all, I'm just about to buy a Z, and I mean just about (should pick it up this week) and I’m interested to know the service intervals? I've been told many different things by many different people, some say 3000 for an oil change others say 6000, one magazine I read actually said every 9000 which seems a bit high for my liking, could someone please tell me the truth????
