Hooray - f**k Bill Gates and the new website - here's my new Mongoose: Nice noise and not too loud (bit of a boom at 2,000 rpm so don't use 2,000 rpm ) Thanks to everyone who suggested one, Johnny who sold me one and Xoticar who fitted it. (no politics - just thanks). Cheers - Gio ------------------ [This message has been edited by Gio (edited 31-05-2002).] [This message has been edited by Gio (edited 31-05-2002).]

  5. Just taken off my motor to make way for a Mongoose. The part number falls off the photocopied invoice but is something something B030041P61 Muffler Assy When fitted last May (2001), it cost me £418.25 inc VAT (yes, yes, I know, but I hadn't discovered this forum yet and hadn't even heard of Mongeese). It's a year old, still has some life in it and might be useful for someone who wants to match up with some of the end cans also occasionally mentioned here. If you're interested, let me know your offer. 10% will go to forum exes or Craig's beer fund. Posting is a pain so either buyer collects (near Heathrow) or comes to Slough II on 23rd June. …

In trying to improve website, most popular was to use server side includes to get menu/navigation the same on every page. eg Did this - tried to test on home PC (Win2k pro). Nothing. ISP said install SSI. Did. Nothing. Does anyone know where I can find an idiot's guide to setting up SSI so that I can test my new website structure so I can get on with doing what I wanted to do before that bastard Gates f**ked up my life. Thanks (PS please don't say Linux - yo umay be ri8ght but I only have two days to do this!) Thanks - Gio ------------------

Ohhh man this is a stupid fucking question but I have to ask you guys! Doh! When my car was leaking oil from the oil pressure sensor area obviously, over time(well months LOL ), it coated the whole of the underneath of the car FFS!!! Grrr So where could I take it to get the underneath steam cleaned? Main Dealer? Don't really want a Nelson anywhere near it to be perfectly honest! So do you guys know of any kinda garage chain that would be able to do this? Or should I just look in the Mellow Pages? LOL TIA ------------------

Just got it changed and its a changed car. Need to look at the speedo now to check my speed its so much smoother. Funny when the mechanic I got to do it put it up on the ramps he said the shaft felt fine. He couldnt feel any play at all but I saw the sag and perishing when I jacked the shaft gently up myself. Sure enough the bearing support rubber is brittle, sagged, cracked and perished. Thought I could change it myself but no way on ramps and jacks unless you've arms like ET and superhuman strength. The garage told me it took 3 of them to refit my custom made exhausts. Will post the piccys of the new and old one soon. This is a job needed on lots of Zs no…

Hey guys here are some pics for all of you who were interested: This is the first layer of the false floor. Fits in with consideration for our ABS pump and also has a cut out on the left hand side for the CD Changer: This is how it looks with the final layer of the false floor and the sub box. This is basically how it will look when you open the boot. To change your CD's lift the left panel up and you will have access to the cd changer: .....And if you dont want any of the false floors.......The sub box on its own: Cheers Latz

Guys, Has anybody changed the A/C display unit from Fahrenheit to Celsius on an US model? I've got a US version and don't know whether this is possible or not. Some other models, like the Z31's or even Subaru SVX used to have one display unit for different markets (maybe due to production cost savings...) and you can remove a jumper or just cut a wire inside the unit to change the display to Celsius. Thanks in advance, regards, Chris ------------------ '91 TT US manual 2+0

Whether you like it or not. The world cup is here for the next 4 weeks. For me this means 7am starts because I work on an internet betting site. But it also means I get paid to watch England play. But it also means that I have to watch matches like China v Costa Rica. Whos gonna win it, and is there any one going to the pub at 7 am to watch any matches? Stuart
