Take a pint glass, fill it with half a pint of Stella ot Kronenbourg (or the premium beer of your choice :P) Then top it up with a bottle of 'Smirnoff Ice' tastes like shandy, looks like shite. But its 'effective' hic Dave

Red Zed seen heading east along S coast (escaping from Hastings?). Anyone here? Fastest thing along the retirement coast (except for mine when I go down to visit aged p). You may have spotted a nurk in a silver Astra pointing and grinning. May I point out that I was only in the Astra as the garage have been playing "hunt the propshaft" over the past week. - Gio

Wow, what a holiday! Great weather, great cars and great women! I should have never come back! Well, what can i say apart from- We get truly conned on this side of the pond! I had a camero for 2 weeks which i borrowed from my aunt who has a house there. When i first drove it i was pleasantly surprised with its power and comfort- unfortunately it didnt know the meaning of corner but it didnt matter because the roads are all straight! The most pleasant surprise came when after not so many miles the fuel tank needed to be replenished. So, i drove into the peppy and proceeded to fill her up (the car). It clicked off at 20 dollars!!!! The tank was full!! BARGA…

When the oil sender died last time the pressure would periodically drop to zero. This time, she never drops below 30 but only hits a maximum of 40 even at 4000 rpm. Oil level is fine using whatever SE put in there and is about 3000 miles old after an open engine experience. Could it be anything else. After she was put back together she was hitting 70 psi at 4000 rpm.

What a difference. The stock one is crap. To start with on ignition the gauge stays at 0-bar, where it should be. The responce is instant. As soon as you press the accelerator, the gauge shoots up to 0. Took my car for a spin to see how good it is. After about 5 mins of driving, so the engine is not quite to 100% temp, I put my foot down and look at the gauge. It got to 0.5 bar. Which is about 7 psi. What I expected because the ECU cuts it down when cold. The stock dial was reading 14psi. When its warmed up foot down again and it went up to about 0.65. Which is right. Again the stock one was showing 14psi. Tell you what the oil pressure one is like when I get tha…

Hi all, I've been offered the change to buy an imported 300zx for just £2,000. I have never owned one (always had a 200sx). What should I be looking out for as I do realise this is very cheap. Any advise would be of helpful. Many Thanks

Hi mate, Wondered if your Skyline chariot was R32 or R33 but after seeing the mess some twat has made of it I see it is a 32. Mate, I want a Skyline and the R32 seems very reasonably priced but I would really like the R33 VSpec. Have you any experience of the differences between these two beasties. In particular the differences betweem the torque splitters of the two cars and the engine setup. I think the Skyline would be far better suited to the roads where I live (ie fooking shit ones) as the Zed is undriveable on the Isle of Wight. Final question - Which do you prefer: R32 or Z32? I love my Zed but ever since day one it was a skyline I wanted, and…

Last Monday (9 days ago) I dropped my Z off at a J car specialist to, amongst other things, have the centre bearing replaced and the propshaft checked over / balanced if necessary. This should have been the last gasp at curing the prop vibes. They assured me they had a local propshaft expert who could do this and that they would get it to him on Tuesday for him to fiddle with on Wednesday and refit on Thursday. Fine. Thurs I ring up - propshaft bloke gone to hospital so will be off work for a day. I will get my car back late Sat or Mon at latest. Ring Mon - garage says propman won't answer his phone but we'll pick it up tomorrow. Ring Tues - still hasn't answere…
