Hi all, I've been offered the change to buy an imported 300zx for just £2,000. I have never owned one (always had a 200sx). What should I be looking out for as I do realise this is very cheap. Any advise would be of helpful. Many Thanks

Hi mate, Wondered if your Skyline chariot was R32 or R33 but after seeing the mess some twat has made of it I see it is a 32. Mate, I want a Skyline and the R32 seems very reasonably priced but I would really like the R33 VSpec. Have you any experience of the differences between these two beasties. In particular the differences betweem the torque splitters of the two cars and the engine setup. I think the Skyline would be far better suited to the roads where I live (ie fooking shit ones) as the Zed is undriveable on the Isle of Wight. Final question - Which do you prefer: R32 or Z32? I love my Zed but ever since day one it was a skyline I wanted, and…

Last Monday (9 days ago) I dropped my Z off at a J car specialist to, amongst other things, have the centre bearing replaced and the propshaft checked over / balanced if necessary. This should have been the last gasp at curing the prop vibes. They assured me they had a local propshaft expert who could do this and that they would get it to him on Tuesday for him to fiddle with on Wednesday and refit on Thursday. Fine. Thurs I ring up - propshaft bloke gone to hospital so will be off work for a day. I will get my car back late Sat or Mon at latest. Ring Mon - garage says propman won't answer his phone but we'll pick it up tomorrow. Ring Tues - still hasn't answere…

I've had enough of the old tailgate hanging around the Garage, bring me a crate of Stella and it's yours, only joking about the Kiss, well if you insist!! It's red, HRW is fine the spoiler is knacked and there is a tiny little bit of rust on the inner lip a bodyshop could sort it out no problem! Mark

at about 1500rpm I am getting a strange squeal sometimes, its coming from the engine and sounds like its coming from the passenger side but its hard to pinpoint, above and below 1500rpm it is not present after about 5 minutes of driving it goes away and doesn't appear until the next day, any ideas what this could be? I only notice it because my coolant sensor plays up sometimes and it idles at 1500rpm Mike [This message has been edited by MikeGroves (edited 28-05-2002).]

Hello boys and girls. A friend of mine called down to me last night to show me his 00 BMW M5 that he just bought this week, lovely car with double glazed windows, t.v and all the trimmings. Handles absolutely fantastically for such a big car, and has the sort of throttle response that I can only dream of having with the 300. He called over late and at 3 this morning we decided to take the two cars for a race. We pulled onto the motorway near me which was absolutely car-less, and he took the outside lane with me in the Z on the inside. We were at 60mph, and agreed that we would go on 3 beeps of the horn. I had the Z (which is running nothing but an S.E chip and…

Hi, On my Z tuned up by Kakimoto Racing, I disconnected the battery and left it standing for three months+. Started it back up and the turbos struggle to get over 0 on the Greddy boost gauge. Would me disconnecting the battery affect the HKS EVC? The turbos were boosting before the period of rest, I am sure of it. Also the car was reported to overheat after coming to a standstill in traffic. I have replaced the Rad cap, cleaned the temp sensors and after letting it idle for long periods of time have no instances of overheating. Have yet to take it on a long drive, has anyone got any ideas? Mark
