Just installed a mongoose would like to gut the cats, UK SPECS tt 105K, providing this adds to performance? turbos seem to be ok, though you never know....! just passed the M.O.T. I've been told the cats have collasped can they be gutted and still pass the M.O.T? passed emmissions with flying colours , if the cats can be gutted whats the best way to do this? Is this worth it? I don't really see a significant difference in performance with the mongoose, however this is the only mod. any help appreciated rob b

Some of you are good at this and I know F**k all about it so here goes. what software would you recomend to convert my quicktime MOV files to Mpeg files? Are Mpgeg files the best for small filesizes for putting on the web? is that what most of you use for the clips on here? Also what software to edit, add sound, text etc to the clips? can you only edit when it is a certain file format like converting to AVI to edit then convert back to mpeg? A software package that could do the editing and save as any file format would be good Cheers Paul

I know this subject is the proverbial "Old Chesnut" but hoping someone can clarify exactly the exact position..... here goes... If i was to fit a UK TT auto ECU into my jap TT and also fit a UK dash/clocks etc... would i need to change the speed sensor on the gearbox as well? As my speed clock is already in kilometers i assume there isn't a speed converter involved but is the signal coming from the jap transmission unit ok to work with a uk speedo? and....... i 'm hoping that fitting the UK ecu that would rid me of the 5000 rpm limiter and the speed restriction of 112 mph, or is that part of the gearbox electronics? I have already desoldered the resistors on the cruise …

I haven't seen any of you at the local GA(note 1) meetings but I am sure that some of us forum members are also members of GA. To them I offer this tip. When up to your neck in soggy ditches overgrown with nettles and thistles, it is quite in order to get half-way through and then break the strimmer. This happened yesterday and I was then allowed to take the missus down the pub. Which is why I didn't post the tip yesterday. Cheers - Gio (note 1: Gardeners' Anonymous - an organisation dedicated to people who realise gardening is a problem for them and their families, who want to do something about it and are motivated enough to admit their shame in pu…

This is realy starting to get on my nerves, my car is fine when accelerating but when i lift off throttle it starts hopping around all over the place, you can feel the hesitation, and it keeps hesitating until i accelerate again, i thought it might have been a dodgy tank of fuel, i even phoned Shell to complain, but i've filled up again at a diferent service station and the problem is still there. Its most noticable at around 3000 rpm and my car does suffer from "engine honk". My car is modified and is running as follows, SE Nissan 15psi mechanical boost upgrade, SS induction kit, 5zigen Cat-back exhaust AP Racing paddle clutch, SE Nissan quic…
