(General question:: not technical)

 

After we spoke at the Nott`s meet last month about the goose honk, I removed my recircs (your suggestion)and replaced with a pair kindly donated by Luke (Zedster) and it has effected a 100% cure! one question have you managed to split one? they look fairly impenatratable (can`t spell)to me?

 

Any one know why so many car`s are suffering from this now? is it an age thing?

The only cause for the honk I can see is the reduced vacuum caused by the more efficient filter. Maybe try puttin a restrictor on the dumping side will help pull the piston 100% shut again?

Maybe it's just that with the less restrictive filter it lets out the noise that the standard filter masks.

i still cannot understand why this is such a problem, 90% of the time veryone on here is after performance and want to be seen shooting down the road blah blah so its another noise that lets you know your blowers are working?

hell i wonder if the Audi Le Mans cars spend as much time as you lot trying to get rid of this noise? Cause they havent bothered and it sounds shit hot when one of them go past you ont he track.
